After an unsatisfactory experience with a towing company earlier that day, I utilized my AAA membership and was able to have this company tow my car from the previous towing yard to my home address. Hertz Rental car broke down, Hertz dispatched AAA who dispatched these guys. These guys sent a truck for jumping/towing, they got to the security gate, then they canceled my jump/tow. When I called the dispatcher to find out what happened, she said they canceled my tow while at the security gate because I was "rude" on the phone to the owner, then she said "that's how it goes!" BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! My daughter called AAA for a basic tow. The driver "Macho" aka: Martin driver for Interstate Towing showed up acting irradically. He had a green bottle with a brown bag around it that he was drinking from. He couldn't get my daughter's sedan on the flat truck with out the help of three college students. (RED FLAG) After he made it to her campus, he unhooked the chains from the four tires and unhooked the front axle. He lifted the the tilt and didn't lower the back end and the Benz fell 3 to 4 feet onto ground. (RED FLAG) He jumped out and yelled at a female college student to help with the "controls of the truck bed" and asked two male college students to help prevent the front of the car crashing. (RED FLAG) After he left, campus security watched him drive wreckless out of the campus, where they called the Boca Raton Police. We called AAA the next day were told the company would call us but they never did. My daughters car could possibly be totaled if the axle and wheel barrings are comprimised. I have campus security video, pictures, 4 witnesses, campus security witnessed this, and a police report. This company is horrible, I feel they aren't calling us because they aren't insured. The tow truck driver was great. Polite and helpful. My complaint is not with him. The woman who answered the phone was rude, unprofessional and very unhelpful. She asked me - why I wasn't with my car when I called to ask where they had taken my car... perhaps I don't have more than one car(?) She called me a liar for saying my car wasn't where I had been told it was towed to because at 7:30am I hadn't ubered to WPB just to prove her right. She's a NUT. We had such a positive experience with this company and especially our towman Louis. My car overheated and so we called triple A for a tow at midnight. Out of all the tow experiences i've had he was the most friendly, talkative, and excitable. It really made the whole experience a positive one despite my car being damaged. He even looked under the hood and really knew what he was talking about. It was a pleasant experience after a long day. I called Triple A to get a jump start. The tow truck driver came out and tested my battery and said the battery was no good and needed a new battery. So, I had him install a new battery. He charged me 3 times they credited me one time for the 2nd charge and did not credit me the 3rd time this is a total rip off; I would never buy a battery from triple A or Interstate towing again. read more

So after waiting over an hour for the tow truck driver to get there to help change a flat tire, he gets there but doesn't have a jack. He tells me he can't help me and I have to call back and have someone else come out who has a jack. The driver then leaves with my spare tire lock as well as left the locking mechanism open for the spare tire. We have AAA and they dispatched Interstate. The man said it would be 5.00 per mile after five miles. I explained we are AAA Plus members. He said, "Nope - it's 5.00 per mile". I called AAA and they said absolutely not. You have 100 miles FREE towing. I went back to the man and explained this and he said not to argue with him. I said I was not arguing just explaining. He rudely said - pay it or you can't get towed. Being the vehicle was already on his truck, we gave him our credit card. He charged us $44.00. We called AAA again and after 35 minutes, we were instructed to call Interstate office for a refund. Interstate was unprofessional and rude. They held us hostage. Very poor customer service. Horrible! I would give 0 stars if I could and would wish to have nothing to do with Interstate Towing again if not for the fact that they are contracted with AAA. Last week, I had one of the worst days thanks to their terrible service and it was all over a battery change. It tooks hours and hours to get this done, 4 SERVICE CALLS and it became a huge drama, all due to their poor handling of the service calls. In case you don't want to read the whole review, at one point one of their service guys (Dean or Dane, I believe) said that the service call was taking too long and his dispatcher said that he had to leave. I could hardly believe it when he got in his truck and left me in the mall parking lot with the hood up, battery disconnected and the car dead. What!? Two more service calls from these jokers and hours later before I was able to drive my car out of the parking lot. It all started in the morning when I went out to my car and the battery was dead. I called AAA and out came a service person. This guy who did the service call said that the battery might recover if it had a deep charge, and he told me that if I had the deep charge done but the battery wouldn't stay charged, the battery would be replaced for free under warranty. I have a AAA battery and it's replaced for free under warranty if it dies within 3 years. It was a hassle to do the deep charge, but I didn't want to pay for something under warranty so off to Sears I went to get the battery deep charged. Of course, the battery didn't hold the charge, so when the Sears mechanic drove my car out to the mall parking lot and turned it off, the car was dead. I called AAA for their battery replacement and that's when the true hell with Interstate Towing began. Their service guy, Dean/Dane, seemed nice at first, but he was the WORST. It took a long time to do the battery test for the warranty replacement paperwork. During that time, I offered to call AAA to get the date of the battery replacement since I didn't have the paperwork. I didn't think I needed it since the first guy had the information. Dean/Dane said that he could get the date from his dispatcher, but when he finally asked him, the date came back as 2011, which would not be under full warranty replacement. I knew this wasn't right so I got on the phone to AAA. While I'm making this call and have AAA on the line, Dean/Dane tells me that his dispatcher says this service call is taking too long and he's going to leave. He would jump the car, but not replace the battery. I disagreed with this approach since why could the battery not be replaced since it takes so little time and I would have the date momentarily from AAA? Plus, I have the AAA membership and would we not all assume that a service call would be completed when the situation is addressed and battery replaced? Next up came the unbelievable part, when Dean/Dane went back to the truck and while I assume that it was to talk to the dispatcher, instead it was to drive off and leave me there with the hood up, battery disconnected and car dead like I mentioned above. I was SO FURIOUS and UPSET and SHOCKED. Since I was still on the phone with AAA and they were listening to this situation play out, the AAA agent quickly escalated my call to his manager (without my even asking). Since I couldn't drive the car, AAA sent another service person out, which again was from Interstate Towing. I expressed my concern to AAA about getting the same company, but it sounded like my only choice. The next Interstate Towing guy, Jason (I believe), put the battery in the car but he couldn't get the terminals to attach it to tighten up. He tried for a while, all of the time muttering about the terrible day (tell me about it!) and throwing his tools down on the ground as if he's angry to be there. Plus, he pulled up his truck behind my car, which was in the driving lane of the mall parking lot, instead of parking in one of the many available parking spots close by. A few cars tried to pull up that lane and were forced to back up and turn around. When the first one came up, I pointed out that someone was behind the truck, and Jason's reply was that it was too bad for the person because he wasn't moving the truck. Nice. Since Jason couldn't fully connect the battery, we agreed that the car needed to be towed to my mechanic (at this point, so many hours had gone by that Sears was closed, plus I would want my mechanic anyway). So I had to call AAA AGAIN to get a tow truck. Interstate Towing came out again with the tow truck. Their service guy, Pat S., gets this company the 1 star because he was helpful and actually got the car running. Hallelujah! He was perplexed that the car would have to be towed over the loose terminals, and so he tried some other tools and Presto!, the battery was tightened within minutes. I encountered a flat tire early this morning and called AAA to assist. They called me a tow because the tire could not be removed. I waited for 90 minutes when the drive called me unable to locate me. While trying to troubleshoot with him and the office, I was able to provide a new address only blocks away from where he was. 15 minutes later I called to check the status and was informed they would not be coming to assist me and eft me stranded. I was waiting on the side of the road for over 3 hours for a flat tire and these people were not only condescending, but didn't have the courtesy to inform me they would not be coming to assist because their drive could not follow simple directions. After being hung up on three times and stranded the receptionist canceled my request and said good luck getting your car! This is Geico's roadside assistance company through City Towing. I called them to get an ETA after Geico said 15 minutes. The lady said they have an hour window, it's been 22 minutes, and they'll get there within that time frame. I told them the car was occupied, in traffic and in a dangerous spot, and it ended up taking them an hour and 15 minutes. I called back and a man then said that they didn't know the situation was extenuating, despite my previous call. Find another company!!! read more

If I could give this company a negative rating I would. Total rip off, instead of taking my mom's car to the requested garage, the driver cajoled her into taking the car out of area for AAA, charging her an upcharge and taking it to a garage that quoted a repair at three times the national average! When we contacted both AAA and Interstate to tow the car back to her requested garage they tried to charge an additional $60 to tow it back, rather than the $15 extra they'd charged her to take it to their garage. Contacted AAA Reference had to get a Jump Start to get vehicle from Shopping Center to Residence. AAA sent Interstate Towing. Technician put Battery Tester on Battery and said something of the fact that is is Low. Ask me to Start the Car. The Car did Start. I explained to the Tech that I let the car run for 20 plus minutes while on hold with AAA. Tech indicated that I had two options, Go to (I believe AutoZone) and have Battery Charged, and it may last a month or so or he can replace the Battery. I choose to replace the battery. At this time, I told the Tech the Invoice did NOT reflect a Pro-rated Amount as I was within the Warranty Time Period. The tech called his supervisor and said no prorated amount is warranted as the battery is good. The Tech told me that the battery was only 44 percent Healthy. Is that a "Good" Battery. In my opinion , NO and should have received a prorated amount. read more

JEREMY IS A MONSTER!!! This man supposedly runs the company. BE WARNED! My fiancé is a AAA member and called in for a tow for me and asked that they come get me. NO PROBLEM. As this is not the first time I've used his AAA without him present. About 5 minutes into our drive just a minute away from the highway exit, the tow truck driver gets a call. They let him know another car needs to be picked up, I told him I need to get home immediately as I've been at work for 11 hours! His response was to call the company and there should be no issues. HE WAS VERY WRONG. JEREMY ANSWERED THE PHONE AND WAS BEYOND AGGRESSIVE WITH ME WHILE TALKING. I asked multiple times for him to calm down so I could speak and he refused. Due to me complaining on not wanting to be dragged around and instead of bringing me home, JEREMY DID THE UNTHINKABLE. Told the driver to drop me off. Mind you we have now just been driving aimlessly while on the phone and I am further from my job and the highway exit to go home. JEREMY over the radio, and I listened with my own ears " get her the fuck out my truck and drop her and her vehicle off or call the cops". Yes, you read that right. Because I did not want to go on a ride to pick up other vehicle, he decided to turn it around and say he was doing us a favor since I am not the car holder. THEY PROCEEDED TO PULL INTO A GAS STATION AND DROP OFF MYSELF AND MY NON WORKING VEHICLE AT 9pm ALONE AFTER AGREEING TO BRING ME HOME!
