The stars are for the two employees that stood out and made my experience amazing. Shot out to Quincy and Joe! Quincy checked me in and was super sweet and personable. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and was set. The van itself was fine. It jerked at bit when it idled, wasn't the smoothest ride but I got everything moved to my new facility in one swoop! It was good on gas but I didn't go very far, just had limited time and wanted to knock it out in one trip. Legit spent $6 on gas which would've been wayyyy more in my guzzling truck lol. Joe checked me in and was super kind and human. Traffic is awful at this location certain times of day. I know this area too well and had forgotten. Know that going in, and they don't have parking at the location. Places like this you just expect to do what you gotta do, but standout stars like Quincy and Joe make it pleasant and the experience memorable.

Certainly not thinning the steel tank just rubbed the paint. Her response was "regulations say it can't be filled". What regulation?? The person giving the certification class said not to fill if tank appears damaged because "if you get in an accident and the tank explodes l'll get sued ". Really just weak excuses to not fill the tank. I'll drive farther and pay $0.04/gallon more!

    Thompson Gas bought Out my prior service company Reliance propane and haven't had many issues until…read morerecently. I just paid 350$ PLUS a 56$/year tank rental fee all for them to come fill up my tank without inspecting its condition prior to filling. I got a call TODAY while I was at work with my father freaking out because The propane tank was hissing super loud and leaking propane out of the top of the tank RIGHT NEXT TO AN ACTIVE PILOT LIGHT. THE "24/7 EMERGENCY Hotline" is closed on weekends, went straight to voicemail. I had to call 911 get CAL Fire out to inspect the situation and now I have to listen to my 350$ worth of propane vent into the atmosphere. AND NO one in my household is able to take a warm shower or wash my dishes correctly, IN THE BEGINNING OF WINTER. If not remediated correctly I'll be going to the proper authorities. Thompson Gas incompetence almost BLEW UP MY HOUSE AND ENTIRE FAMILY.

The tech stated I had a gas leak and would not be able to turn on my propane tank until I got the gas leak repaired but left two 125 gallon tanks on my property until I got the gas leaked repaired. I then hired a plumber to come inspect my home which costed $250. The plumber stated that I did not have a leak and the gas company was incorrect. I then contacted Thompsons gas to have them come back out and they reinspected my home and also confirmed there was no gas leak. I then requested some type of discount because I paid $250 to find a gas leak that did not exist and had it not been for Thompsons gas, I would not have been out of $250 which I couldve used towards the gas. Thompson's gas refused to provide any discount so I requested they pick up their two 125 gallon tanks they left on my property. The following week I get a call from Petra, who is awesome btw, and I explained again why I was not happy with the service. She then contacted her manager and got a $0.50 discount and scheduled to come back to my house Tuesday 9/5. Today I get a call from a different rep and they are now canceling the scheduled installation and not providing me the discount they promised two days ago. Meanwhile, i am still out of hot water and heat all because of an error Thompson's gas made. The rep had the nerve to say she's sorry and understands but still canceled the service and discount they promised to me. Unacceptable!

I was second in line today and was on my way within 10 minutes. If you pay cash then you must pay inside the office. It was very easy and I was happy to have this quick refill. Today the price was $3.99 a gallon so I paid $17.

    I used to have really great experiences here but my most recent experience led to an overcharge all…read morebecause the clueless male employee, who has extremely poor customer service skills, did not know how to check in vehicle and charge the correct amount. We rented a vehicle for a few hours. The rate was .49 per mile because we rented it at 100 miles estimated. When we check the vehicle back in we had only used about 55 miles. The person checked us in at the higher mileage rate and when I told him that the total was incorrect he didn't know how to correct the error. He told me that he had already checked it out so he couldn't change it because he didn't know how. I contacted another employee who said she would notify the GM would correct it when she came in to work the next day. The GM never corrected it. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and reached out to the office. The same guy that "helped" me w/ the return of the vehicle answered the phone. I asked for the GM (who wasn't in) or Sharon. The employee stated she was helping another customer but he would go get her, which I found strange. A minute later he comes back to the phone and says "She's really, really busy with a customer so I'll write down your number and she'll get back with you." I confirmed he had the number but he never asked for my name or if he could help me. Instead he said, "She'll call you back." I told him I wonder if she'll be able to guess my name when she calls back and then I hung up. I later communicated with Sharon and she said she corrected the issue. We'll see if it corrects. Considering up until this time, we've had great experiences, the jury is still out on whether we will use this location in the future.

In addition, I ordered moving help from U-haul which required an advance payment of $150.00. At 9:41 PM, on 8/30/2024, I received a call from U-haul (Cesar- Reservations Manager) informing me that due to the large amount of requests for trucks, the truck that I reserved would not be available, and he offered me the option to go to remote U-haul locations to get the truck. This option was not acceptable to me. I refused the option as it was inconvenient. I asked Cesar to please call the location manager and let him know of my inconvenience; he refused and stated that the manager was not available, which I couldn't understand, especially since he felt it was okay to call me at this hour. Clearly this should not have happened, and when making my reservation I adjusted the reservation based on availability and location. In any event, my reservation Cesar cancelled my reservation, and since it is a holiday weekend I am screwed. I don't know what to do.

I arrived at the location to find it closed and locked with no way to access the van. I tried to use the online check-in to see if there was a gate code but the process needed "extra verification" and required a passport, proof of residence, reference from a former rental service, or reference from your employer. On top of everything, I tried repeatedly to call customer service which had wait times of over two hours. I opted to have them call me back, which they did. The calls wouldn't connect and I have not been contacted again despite using different methods of contact (email, their online chat service, and social media). I had to call around to every local Lowes, Home Depots, and rental services and was fortunate to find a van elsewhere. If you need reliable service with (something approaching) adequate customer service, U-Haul is NOT your best option.
