Absolutely one of the worst experiences I have ever had! Due to power outages, my basement flooded (no electricity, no sump pump). My insurance company gave me their info as a preferred vendor. I called them out and the initial conversation was great. They assured me I would receive a formal quote before they did anything so we could discuss (I was trying to work within my insurance allocation). They arrived the day of with no formal paperwork, but again gave me verbal pricing (and I had a text message with some general numbers). At the end of day one, they asked for the scope of the work they were going to be doing for me. I told the crew that I was waiting for a formal estimate/quote so that I could make an educated decision. The supervisor came to my home and told me he would have something to me that evening (and the crew would be back out the next day - either to continue working or to pick up the equipment - depending on my decision after reviewing the quote). Nothing came that night. In the morning, the supervisor called and said he had a rough night with family and that he wasn't able to get me an official quote, but asked me for my final decision on next steps. I told him I understood, but that I wouldn't be able to make a final decision without official numbers. I told him we could push the project by a day for him to get me the proposal. He said his team would be out that day to at least finish the first portion of the work that they had started the day before, but they couldn't allocate more time on my home. The team came and asked me to sign paperwork that I was refusing remediation services! I wasn't refusing services - I was refusing to be an uninformed consumer! I told them I would not sign paperwork without all of the information I had requested. This went on for almost a week (them saying they would come, not coming, bait and switch with pricing). When the formal quote did finally come in, it was almost 3 times what we spoke about! I spoke to the owner - he assured me that he would get it resolved and call me back - and I never heard back from him! In the end, they tried to charge me for equipment that they left at my home and never came to pick up although I gave them multiple opportunities to do so, remove tack strips that they didn't actually remove, and 'haul away' debris that I told them they could leave for me to dispose because it was trash day. AND I had missing items! RUN AWAY!!!! read more
