Motorcycle Battery - Check I always call with battery # before driving over and the guys on the phone have always been helpful. No trouble at all. Called yesterday for price and availablity on 2 heavy duty batteries and was told they had plenty in stock. I said I would be over the following afternoon. They said to make it before 4:30. Bought a refurbished battery with 3 month warranty. I was told that it would last for atleast 2 years. But gone in 6 months.

Had trouble with the 2 battery's in my 14 month old motorhome. Took them in to Interstate for testing and in fact one of them is bad. I expected full replacement since they have an 18 month warranty. Low in behold I was told that the battery's are from 2010. Say what. I reminded him that these just came out of a 2013 coach and that I doubted that Tiffin motorhomes were putting 3 year old battery's in new coaches. The funny thing is the sticker on both battery's said 10/12. In my simple mind that means Oct. of 2012 which should mean full replacement. Anyways I walked out with 1 good and 1 bad battery. Different car this time but same issue, same shop, same battery (MTP94R/H7) to replace OEM (Moll) on a German car. This Interstate shop is fantastic - guys at the counter are friendly, very knowledgeable, and really helpful. They're also freakin' hilarious like a stand up comedy routine, so if you're understandably frustrated with the hassle of needing a replacement battery these guys will crack you up and put a smile on your face. They gave me a battery with a fresh date code and tossed in a vent tube nozzle when I mentioned that the original had one. They do core exchange so if you have the original with you it's one stop; otherwise you can return it later for reimbursement like I did. DIY battery swap is so easy (been doing it for 30 years) and this is the place to get your replacement. Still a 5-star experience with a top quality product and top quality service. read more

Here is my review of Interstate battery. I purchased a battery from Interstate for my boat. Due to mechanical issues, this battery was kept inside my house and regularly maintained with the same charger Interstate sells and recommends. After the boat was on the water 3 times last year, their Marine battery was found to be failed. I returned the battery to Interstate for some sort of replacement and only to find the battery was only good for $20 off another battery just like this one. (I don't think I want another one like this one). The service person at Interstate admitted the failure was not due to my treatment or neglect and was an internal failure. My opinion.....if something fails due to neglect or misuse, that is one thing. If it fails due to workmanship or materials that is another! So you want a battery for your...whatever, Interstate is NOT the place to buy one. Their customer service is just a joke also. I don't know why they even have one...... read more

I should have written this review a while back. I have been a few times and purchased a battery and had it installed. The guys in the back were nice. My review is mostly for the front office. They have always been so friendly, helpful, and considerate. I had been told that my battery cables were going to have to be changed and it was going to be lots of money etc. and I asked the man who was there at the time (I forgot his name, sorry) and he offered to come look. He told me they were totally fine and that what I needed were two really inexpensive parts that added up to $5.00 and he told me how to put them on. He was so nice and helpful and never talked down to me. As a woman I have had some negative experiences with guys and things related to automotive related issues none of that occurred here. My brother and father go here and have nothing but good things to say about these guys too. Thank you for all your help! read more

Went to the shop to purchase a backup battery for my surge protector. Because I couldn't disengage the wire from the terminal, brought the whole shebang in. The guys there are all super nice. The one who helped me not only removed the battery for me, but cheerfully installed the replacement for me as well. Talk about good customer service all around. Very rare these days. I purchased (2) Interstate Batteries in the past 3 years and "BOTH" died well before their time! They were both 75 month and the both lasted only 24 months to the tee! I have always had good luck with Interstate and I used to reccomend to everyone. I don't know if I got a bad batch? Maybe they were old? I don't know what the deal is but they both went Kapoot way before they should have:( One was for a 2000 GMC Sierra and the other was for a 2007 Toyota Sienna. Anyone have similar results? read more

I took my sons IPOD in to have the battery changed out, it wouldn't hold a charge for very long. To make a long story short, they said they (IB) would not charge me because it has a charging problem. Well they are right, it now has a charging problem, both cameras don't work, and there is no sound. Interstate Battery just gave me back a PAPER WEIGHT. The manager said that it worked when i picked it up. The only thing the SO CALLED TECH showed me was the touch screen worked. They told me i had to take the IPOD to a cell phone shop to have the charging problem fixed because they didn't have the right tools to fix the problem. The cell phone repair shop said they wouldn't work on it since it was touched by INTERSTATE BATTERY. This is the store in the small town of GREAT FALLS, MT. I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more
