My fresh battery shorted internally right across the street from their shop and I could not get the staff to warranty it. I didn't have the invoice on me and was in a bind. The staff was very rude, I was the only customer there, they walked past me repeatedly and avoided looking in my direction for over 10 minutes or so. Once I got someone's attention, they only wanted to check voltage and not do the isolation tests to confirm the short. I went down the street and got a 2 year warranty battery with free installation for half the price from a different company. read more

This is a company that has great service on the ground. They are helpful and good guys. The batteries they sell are like most now, recovered and rebuilt. Speaking only for the 6 volt batteries which I have purchased at least 6 in ten years, due to sulfating (failure). That would be an embarrassment for most companies, Interstate corporate is fine with this. Thus they warrantee them for 6 months. I would recommend Using another source for 6 volt units. I have a brand new unit in my garage that has 200 miles on it. It's now considered a "core". read more

My other posts on this interstate were on my old yelp so quickly they have always come through for us on all our veg batteries. Warranty is awesome and always applied if possible. This weekend I went for a ride n my bike had some trouble starting, been getting worse the last couple weeks. I decided to have them test it and sure enough it had no cranking amps but showed a full charge. The battery was installed by me in 2012. When the factory battery took a dive. That's 7 years of like from that interstate battery. This is why I deal not with interstate batteries and the guys at the Glenoaks location in Sun Valley Ca. First off, they gave me the wrong battery and didn't even bother to look up what model I had. This new battery was more expensive, I brought it back from my car because it didn't fit and asked them if they had the same battery as my old one. This time they gave me the right battery and they didn't correct the balance they originally charged me. The guy that helped me just said, uhhhh yeah the batteries are the same price then continued to walked off and started talking to his friends in the parking lot. So after I installed the right one and looked up the prices I realized they overcharged me. So I had to go back and fix that too. Not helpful at all, it was waste of time and money. read more

This is one shady company. They offer warranties but they don't stand by them they always come out with they you have to charge it, my tool says it's good blah blah blah. The counter guy (bald rude dude) is no help he's there basically to blow you off unless you want to buy another battery than his attitude changes really quick. I tried to swap a battery that was 3 months old that keep losing the charge every morning and this guy tells me you have to charge the battery for 2 days at 2 amps there is nothing I can do for you or buy another battery . My time with him was useless so I'm stuck with a $100 battery that is no good. I so much regret buying this battery and I did so in good faith because I remember a few years ago this company used to stand behind what they use to sell but now it rates the worst battery company ever. Interstate Batteries - Bad business - Battery Stores Near Me - Sun Valley, California

My little 12V motorcycle battery was beyond dead. Called Interstate and Tony suggested i bring it by and he'll see what he can do. Bought some battery acid for $6 and Tony showed me how to fix a dead battery. It's currently (pun intended) at Interstate for 2 day trickle charge. Picking it up Friday and hopefully it'll revived. Outlook seemed good because once we filled up the cells it already was conducting Voltage so hopefully it has been revived. So this pretty much saved me $80 off a new motorcycle battery and they were so cool about it. Love places like this! Don't take you batteries to get tested at Auto Parts stores, worth taking it to experts who know what they are doing. I'm an Interstate customer from now on. read more

This store is crazy. I went in to buy a battery MTP 78DT which list for $158.95 per the Interstate website. They wanted $189.27 plus tax and core. I left and stop at the Irwindale store on my way home. Same battery was $136.95 plus tax. That is a big difference considering they are both Interstate Stores and not independent dealers. Now I am going to the Irwindales Yelp site and give them a 5 star review. read more

Called them to verify that they had my battery in stock. They told me they did so I said "I'm coming to get it now. They told me they'd have it ready. I drove 45 minutes to pick it up. When I got there they said they didn't have it. I told them I called ahead to verify. He said, yeah I remember telling you that but we don't have it. No apology, no attempt to resolve the problem, just kept saying, "we don't have it". Very rude, bad customer service. I love interstate batteries but the guys at this branch don't seem to know what they're doing. read more
