Employees do not wear masks. On three separate visits to the store none of the employees were wearing masks. I have used Interstate batteries for years. From watch batteries to large RV deep cycle batteries, Interstate Batteries are phenomenal. Which makes it even harder for me to believe a company like Interstate Batteries have such total disregard for their customers' and employees' health during this pandemic. I would comment on my last post three down but couldn't find an option to do so. If you see my Yelp reviews of other businesses, I like to give great reviews. So, this had to be a terrible experience for me to write a poor review and then do so twice! Steve, the owner of this particular store, refused to replace the battery under warranty from last year, despite Range Rover's request to do so and my explanation that we were going off-roading and I didn't want us to break down in the woods. As I mentioned in my last post, he not only refused to help but was really rude, arrogant, and, I forgot to add, blamed it on Range Rover not knowing what they were doing. Today we were all packed to leave for our trip up north, and at 4 am, we try to start the car, and the battery has died. We have to cancel our trip today. We had to get Geico out to jump-start our car at 4.30 am and my husband is parked with the car running outside BigO waiting for them to open at 9 am so we can get a new battery. A total inconvenience. We will need to purchase a brand new battery from another service provider, as Steve refuses to honor his warranty! This is really unacceptable, and I recommend that others think carefully before purchasing a battery from this place. steven lied to me. claimed he had a five year battery for 204.95 plus install. he told me on phone and in person, FIVE YEAR BATTERY. no. it is NOT. at third year, coverage goes to 50% and then down next two years. I worked with Steve on the phone and he was awesome at helping me find the correct battery needed for my car. He went over and beyond in service. Once it was established that they had what I needed, I mentioned that I could bring my car down and asked if I dropped it off today, could I pick it up the following day? He said that they install the batteries on the spot that it would probably take about 30 minutes. Once AAA jumpstarted my car, I was on my way to Interstate. These guys are GREAT. I called for a price and went in to have the battery replaced in my Audi. They held the price even though the battery was located under the drivers seat and they had to partially remove it. Very fast and efficient install at about 1/3 of the dealer price. We purchased a brand new UPGRADED battery from them. After three months the battery failed and we had to call AAA for a jump. My husband drove the car for a while to charge the battery and then headed over to Interstate. He was told that there was nothing they could do and they would not honor the warranty and claimed the battery was fine. My husband asked to speak to a manager and was told that they would tell him the same thing and that if he wanted to make a complaint he could contact the corporate office! We have never had a problem like this with a battery before. The customer service is nonexistent and we threw away our money purchasing a battery here. Our mechanic , that we have been using for years, looked the car over and determined that the only problem was the battery! He replaced it and we will never do business with Interstate again! I have been to this store quite a bit of times, for different reasons. They have batteries for everything form watches to Super Luxurious Omnidirectional Whatchamajiggers! The service is great and the owners are there daily making sure everyone gets tip top service. I have even seen them out in the parking lot changing people's car batteries for them!!
