I needed to recycle some 12 V 7 ah rechargeable batteries from my Home burglar alarm system. I found that interstate batteries do this, which I was very happy about because I kept trying to find find a electronic waste disposal, round up near me. Anyway, I went in and asked if they took the batteries. The gentleman said yes they did and then he followed me back out to the car to help me take the batteries in, I had five of them. He started picking them up for me and I figured I would take a couple in and instead he just took them all and thanked me very much and I found him to be incredibly pleasant for not making a sale and doing this task. read more

Terrible experience. I called Interstate Batteries of Palm Desert before making the purchase to confirm they had the auxiliary battery in stock. When I arrived, the battery was already on the counter waiting for me. It was represented as new and looked new, so I reasonably assumed it was fresh and did not test it before installing it. After installation, my Jeep developed serious electrical problems and became undrivable. Once I started troubleshooting, the battery measured only 10.50 volts while installed and 11.00 volts after I removed it. The battery I had replaced was still holding 12.50 volts. I had to have my Jeep towed to the dealership, where I ended up paying over $300 in repair fees to get it back to normal. I was also left without a vehicle for almost a week. When I returned the battery, the person behind the counter couldn't even determine how old the battery was. That's extremely concerning for a battery that was sold to me as new. To be fair, I did receive a refund for the battery, but that doesn't change the fact that I was left dealing with the inconvenience, towing, dealership costs, and being without my vehicle for nearly a week. Very frustrating experience from start to finish. I expected much better from Interstate Batteries and will not be purchasing another battery from this location. read more

Pickup wouldn't start -wouldn't even turnover- Luckily I was parked at the Starbucks right next to Interstate Batteries. I went in and talked to the salesclerk who came out with a battery charger. Quickly got me started and I was on my way. Thank you so much! I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was very helpful and didn't charge me anything. I will definitely use Interstate Batteries for any future needs. read more

OK, if you live anywhere in the Coachella Valley, and you want an amazing Interstate car battery, why oh why would you ever get your battery anywhere else than with Steve over at Interstate All Battery Center??? Here's my story: I called Steve and he had my battery in stock at a great price. I drove over there...and the place is a tiny shop in a shopping mall. I'm thinking "Oh great; there's no garage bay. I can BUY my battery here, but I gotta install it myself. Ugh!". NOPE! Steve walks out to your car with his tools, takes out your old battery and expertly installs your new battery no problem in literally minutes. For no extra charge. Man. So quick. So easy. Hey, Steve, you rock! Thanks for the stellar service! read more

They installed a new battery. Extremely fast...well priced.. 3 year warranty Could not have asked for a better experience

I went here In December 2 of this year. Their batteries were well priced and the service was amazing. I really appreciated the great service. I forgot his name, his register number is 92072, very friendly and he set up my radio so it would work again. He didn't tell me he did this, when I got in the car it was on. A very nice surprise, thank you for your help, and going above and beyond Mary read more

Employees do not wear masks. On three separate visits to the store none of the employees were wearing masks. I have used Interstate batteries for years. From watch batteries to large RV deep cycle batteries, Interstate Batteries are phenomenal. Which makes it even harder for me to believe a company like Interstate Batteries have such total disregard for their customers' and employees' health during this pandemic. It's not poltical, it's about respect. For a company to allow their employees to not wear masks, in violation of health orders is unacceptable. read more

I would comment on my last post three down but couldn't find an option to do so. If you see my Yelp reviews of other businesses, I like to give great reviews. So, this had to be a terrible experience for me to write a poor review and then do so twice! Steve, the owner of this particular store, refused to replace the battery under warranty from last year, despite Range Rover's request to do so and my explanation that we were going off-roading and I didn't want us to break down in the woods. As I mentioned in my last post, he not only refused to help but was really rude, arrogant, and, I forgot to add, blamed it on Range Rover not knowing what they were doing. Today we were all packed to leave for our trip up north, and at 4 am, we try to start the car, and the battery has died. We have to cancel our trip today. We had to get Geico out to jump-start our car at 4.30 am and my husband is parked with the car running outside BigO waiting for them to open at 9 am so we can get a new battery. A total inconvenience. We will need to purchase a brand new battery from another service provider, as Steve refuses to honor his warranty! This is really unacceptable, and I recommend that others think carefully before purchasing a battery from this place. In addition to the above, I would like to add, as per the review of one of their other clients below, that they do in fact, NOT wear masks in their store. It shows a lack of respect for their clients. read more

Steve flew over to my house to do a very difficult Rolls dual battery installation... Perfectly, and the same cost as AAA WHO DOES NOT INSTALL IN THE ROLLS! QUALITY, a better spec battery than OEM and killer pricing! Ladies and gentleman you should not even consider anyone else because they simply do not offer this level of expertise and Value! Addendum: Costco is mentioned as a preferable competitor... this not accurate nor evidence based... they won't do difficult cars like any decent high end cars nor do the techs have the superior set up and technical skills! Steve is a battery surgeon; the others are high school GEDs... just the facts. Ten stars! Thank you Steve! M Trent Jones MD read more

I'm happy to recommend Interstate All Battery Center. From the minute I called to inquire about the battery and if they had it in stock, the customer service was top notch. I worked with Steve on the phone and he was awesome at helping me find the correct battery needed for my car. He went over and beyond in service. Once it was established that they had what I needed, I mentioned that I could bring my car down and asked if I dropped it off today, could I pick it up the following day? He said that they install the batteries on the spot that it would probably take about 30 minutes. Once AAA jumpstarted my car, I was on my way to Interstate. I arrived at 3:15pm and was on my way home by 3:31pm!! The technician was friendly and fast! WOW! I was so impressed with everything about this place beginning with my initial call. Customer service is everything these days and it seems that as a consumer, you see less and less of that. Need a battery?, this is the place to go!! read more

steven lied to me. claimed he had a five year battery for 204.95 plus install. he told me on phone and in person, FIVE YEAR BATTERY. no. it is NOT. at third year, coverage goes to 50% and then down next two years. AND battery must be replaced at an Interstate store. SHAME ON STEVEN. Interstate has been first choice for decades, Dallas corp was helpful, i will return , but triple check in the future. read more

I drove 2.5 hours to palm desert to try and sell my dad's van and of course the batteries were dead. My tow driver recommended Interstate because one of the batteries is a bit rare. Great service and reasonable prices. I had shopped around for a car battery for a day and this was by far the most reasonable and they had it in stock. Jose was quick to get me back on the road. Highly recommend this if you need an affordable battery. They even repair cell phone screens. read more

The service that I received is above & beyond! I asked if the battery could be delivered and the staff said no problem! It was delivered to the mechanic and they picked up the core. I offered to pay and it wasn't required. First Class Service SIX STAR RATING , (YES! 6 STARS) ! read more

Be careful buying auto battery from this place. Their 5 year warranty is very deceiving. Car batteries in the desert is the average life. If you bought an auto battery from this Interstate, please be prepare for the employee to find excuses not to honor the warranty. If you like the brand Interstate, you are better off buying Costco's Interstate Batteries. They will honor their warranty without any questions. Costco Employees has better customer service. Another alternative is Batteries +Bulbs. read more

Because both locations are rude and nasty. They don't keep good records and are not interested in solving problems they only want to sell you a new battery. When they old warranty is still good. Thanks for the fast and friendly service! I brought in two car keys that needed new batteries, and an old cellphone that can't keep a charge. I expected it might take awhile. WOW! All was completed super fast! If you need any battery, this is the place to go! Thanks again !!! read more

These guys are GREAT. I called for a price and went in to have the battery replaced in my Audi. They held the price even though the battery was located under the drivers seat and they had to partially remove it. Very fast and efficient install at about 1/3 of the dealer price. I've always used AAA , but they would not install this battery. Interstate has earned my business. read more

I needed a battery for our survey equipment, Steven, was very knowledgeable and gracious with his assistance. That was 2 years ago. There was no need for me to go back to Interstate, until today. Today, I was in need of another different style battery, my first thought was Interstate. When I arrived, there was another customer Steve was helping, so he told me he would be right with me. I couldn't help but overhear, the troubleshooting he was doing, as he was helping the other customer. That customer thanked him for the solution to his problem that Steve provided, as he checked out at the register. Now it's my turn. I had the old battery with me, which I suspect is dead. Steve tests it. Confirmed. He remembers that I was there 2 years ago!, and asks for my company name, so he could quote me a price. The price was right! Then he proceeds to crimp the ends with the cable that I brought, and I was out the door. From their product selection , to their staff's knowledgeable and professional customer service, Interstate All Battery Center, knows how to run a business. I won't go anywhere else. read more

We purchased a brand new UPGRADED battery from them. After three months the battery failed and we had to call AAA for a jump. My husband drove the car for a while to charge the battery and then headed over to Interstate. He was told that there was nothing they could do and they would not honor the warranty and claimed the battery was fine. My husband asked to speak to a manager and was told that they would tell him the same thing and that if he wanted to make a complaint he could contact the corporate office! We have never had a problem like this with a battery before. The customer service is nonexistent and we threw away our money purchasing a battery here. Our mechanic , that we have been using for years, looked the car over and determined that the only problem was the battery! He replaced it and we will never do business with Interstate again! Buyer beware as they will not stand behind their warranty! read more

My go-to spot for battery replacement but I also discovered the staff is also very knowledgeable with phone repair. I had my shattered screen and speaker for my iPhone each replaced at the store.
