I received a text from George who said "I am sorry, I don't have those screens in stock, the repair is $375, most of that being part cost." In fairness he suggested I wait until I return to NYC but I wanted to place a review because: 1) the screen replacement costs $20 wholesale 2) the Apple Store is $129 to replace the screen 3) even in NYC, the most expensive places were charging $200 (although apple in NYC is also $129) 4) a DIY repair kit costs $150... I get it, they charge more because they come to you, however the part is $20 (nowhere close to $375) and it behooves them to have items for the latest phones in stock. Also, where is George getting this $375 price tag from if "most of that being part cost"??? I went to the Apple Store and had it fixed within 45 minutes while I was at brunch. After tax and parking it came to less than $145. Save yourself the $$$ and just go to Apple for iPhone screen issues.

When he started to check the phone for potential problems he offered us both water (cold or room temperature - our choice) and a seat. Jonathan was very sociable and communicate clearly, without a bunch of technical jargon that would have gone way over our heads. I am disabled and when struggling as I tried to get up from a chair, Jonathan was right there to offer help should I need it. The service was done quickly. She turned me around and showed me another computer and, as she assured me that this computer had many of the features that I wanted from the other computers, including the backlit keyboard, I bought it. Mistake. I opened the box, started the process of getting the computer going . . . and discovered she had pushed another Pavilion on me. I went to the web site and checked and it was a computer I had rejected because it DID NOT have many of the features I had stated that I wanted; no backlit keyboard for one . . . AND it was more expensive! I went back this morning, 8am, and returned the computer. The normal morning crew that I usually deal with was on duty and one man returned it and checked his phone . He found one of the computers I was ACTUALLY looking for at the Division store. 2 for the associate who seemed more interested in selling me something and getting me out of her hair. I'll add one back as I should have been paying better attention.
