Took my Iphone in to get a new battery. They put it in and worked fine for a couple of days and then it went to 1% charge and would not charge again. I took it back to them and they said the phone was bad and sucks to be me. They would not refund my money and they would /could not fix it. I took it to a cell phone repair shop and they but a another new battery in properly and it now working fine. Stay away from Batteries Plus. read more

I had what I would have thought would be a very difficult battery to find. It was a backup battery for an older garage door opener. Not only did they have it in stock, but had several variations for many different models. The gentleman that helped me find it was genuinely nice and made the entire transaction go quick and smooth. Okay, after a few months and still no new battery for my tablet (can't find another place that will do it), I decided to give Batteries Plus another try. Well, the online scheduling system is still not working so I called to try and set up an appointment. The tech said I could just bring my tablet in - they had four batteries in stock and the install should take about two hours. I stressed that I was coming from 80 miles away and needed to be sure it would be ready when it was time to head back. "No problem. And, I'll be sure to give you the online discount since the scheduling system is down." ...okay... So, I arrive and the only tech who can do the work is out to lunch and will be back in an hour. Deja vu?? I wasn't getting the warm fuzzy, but I dropped the tablet off and was told I'd get a call if it would be ready on time. Well, to their credit, the install was done in less time than estimated and was ready for pickup. THAT level of service gets another star - even though I did NOT get the online discount, as promised. So, I don't know if I can recommend this place. They certainly know what they're doing when working on your electronics, but their scheduling and follow-up is sorely lacking. I'm grateful that I have a "like new" tablet again, and paying a hundred bucks for that vs 800 for a new one is (somewhat) worth the setbacks. read more

Batteries Plus Bulbs website says they recycle LED bulb but when I went to the one on N Division in Spokane I was told to just throw it in the garbage because that is what they do. Since Spokane has the waste to energy program I don't feel too bad about doing this but I would much rather recycle. read more

Every single time I have been to batteries plus I have had excellent service and excellent products. Also I find the majority of the s be interesting and unusual people. The website accepted this appointment, but I showed up at 6:50pm to give them time to do the screen replacement on my phone. Guy at the counter: Uh, sorry, I don't have time to do your repair. I called you and left a message. Me: You called my broken phone to let me know you can't fix my phone? Counter guy: Uh. yeah. Sorry. I wasted my time with this store when I could have had my service done elsewhere, but since I took the time to travel to this store, I couldn't make it anywhere else in time to have the repair made. read more

Do NOT get your phone screen fixed here. The screen wasn't all that responsive after they replaced it, the color was off (a bluish color), and on top of that, it cracked again after only two weeks....in 3 places. I called the N Division store to see what they can do and the lady asked me to bring it in and see if it was possibly installed wrong. When I went in to have them look at it, the young guy working was less than helpful and said they can't do anything for me. He didn't even look at my phone and was pretty condescending through the whole interaction. I've had iPhones for years and this is my first experience with having to replace the screen. I would HIGHLY recommend going anywhere elsewhere! read more

Today I went to get my iPhone charge port replaced. It costs around $70. When I went to get it repaired the woman at the store cleaned the port and my phone was perfect! I purchased and had installed a new screen for my iPhone 5 in March 2018. Prior to the expiration of the six month warranty my screen developed a crack in it without even being dropped. So I called this BatteriesPlus store to inquire about the six month warranty on parts and labor, and was quite disappointed to find out that the part they installed was not covered by the warranty. I guess I kind of understand since people drop their phones often, but still the description on their website says parts are covered and obviously they don't mean a new screen. I'm not sure if I will be able to go back, even though everything else about the store I have no problems with. Not too happy about spending $80 for a screen that couldn't even make it four months. read more

Have you ever felt VIOLATED by a big corporation? Batteries Plus, located on N. Division St, sits on the busiest commercial corridor in Spokane. Yet, EVERY single time I pass by their store, I get PISSED OFF ! Why?? Because I had an unbelievably bad experience there. My nightmare began when I dropped off a couple of rechargeable battery packs (that fit a high-end piece of test equipment) to have the batteries upgraded. Apparently, the only guy who does those type jobs had already left for the day. They advised me to drop them off and then call back the following week for a price estimate. When I later called back, they gave me what seemed like a really high price. I told them I would do some checking around and then get back with them about any decision to proceed. So imagine my surprise when several weeks later, I went back to pick up my battery packs, and they told me they couldn't find them! After some checking around and getting the on-duty manager involved, they finally advised me that ...... (get this) .......THEY HAD THROWN THEM AWAY (!) I was completely stunned! - Had they given me the most minimal chance to pick up my parts by giving me a phone call?? Nooooooooo. [shaking my head in disbelief] - Had I received ANY kind of warning at all (perhaps by mail)?? Nope, Nada, Nothing, Zip ! They just summarily decided to T*O*S*S them into the garbage (they didn't even recycle them!). Those greedy S.O.B's just decided to leave me twisting in the wind with a suddenly non-operable piece of test equipment (that requires the battery packs just to boot up). At the time I dropped them off, both battery pack units still had some life left and were able to power up my device. I mean C'MON, how hard would it have been for them to simply pick up the phone, dial my 7 digits and ASK if I wanted them to throw away my stuff?? What are we talking... maybe 30-60 seconds of their precious time? When I asked the on-duty manager WHY I hadn't receive so much as a single, quick telephone call, he didn't even offer an apology. He just curtly pointed to the fine print on the receipt while telling me (very defensively) that they had "no obligation" to keep customer property after X number of days. And that immediately after their short expiration time period, my (and your) property then somehow becomes THEIR PROPERTY. So therefore, it was actually OK (in their twisted, corporate logic) TO THROW AWAY MY STUFF!!!! What does one even say to that type of thinking? That's about the most ridiculous excuse for bad corporate behavior that truly borders upon the absurd. Truth be told, I had been called out of town on business and wasn't able to get back as quickly as I had hoped. So after their magic 30 or 45 day holding period passed (can't remember exactly), they casually decided to THROW AWAY MY STUFF with NO NOTIFICATION(!) Needless to say, as a result of that singularly awful experience, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER buy another product from Batteries Plus......................EVER! [spit] Not only that, but everybody I interact with that needs batteries? I just tell them where I buy mine (from AMAZON or EBAY!). It' all comes from the same place anyway (China), so why should anyone pay BP's super expensive, full retail, rip-off prices when they can get the exact same thing for far less money online?? And believe me, I've owned small businesses and generally been in customer service type jobs my entire life. So I KNOW what customer service should be about. These guys obviously view their customers with pure contempt :-(( To sum it all up.... Batteries Plus (yes, they've got the exact same initials as that other corporate criminal that leaked so much oil into the Gulf several years ago) = - ABUSIVE CUSTOMER POLICIES - NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE (they couldn't even pick up the phone!) - POOR MANAGEMENT (that lets situations like these spin out of control) - SUPER HIGH, RETAIL PRICES ! OK, maybe I should calm down now, check my blood pressure and finish this rant later with a You Tube video or FB posting .... But the take away message of my story would simply be .... DON'T waste your time on this poor excuse for a company. You'd be a LOT smarter to shop for your batteries elsewhere! read more

Do not get your iPhone screen replaced at this location! I dropped my phone a few days ago and decided to get the screen repaired at this N. Division location due to it being a quick repair. Everything was fine at first and I totally trusted them with my phone, however upon returning to pick my newly repaired phone up, I found it to be a TERRIBLE repair. The screen that they used made it have a cool blueish-gray-tint, which is not at all what you should get after paying $150. I left the store and got into my car and compared it to my boyfriends iPhone to verify the blatant difference, so we walked back in and showed 2 different associates both of the phones side by side. Both refused the difference and said that they aren't iPhone users so they wouldn't know, although I showed them my boyfriends phone as well and it was clear how terrible of a repair they did. They said they could take $10 off, but I told them to just put my old broken screen on and to give me back my money. I'd rather have a broken screen than a phone with their "repair" that is how bad of quality it was. So, 40 minutes later I got my phone back and the two men who previously helped me wouldn't even look at me, they told one of their other associates to refund my money, although they were not busy. Later on, I found out on Yelp that others also had this issue of an odd tint to their repaired screens. However, before deciding to get the old broken screen put back on, I asked if this was a common issue and they blatantly lied by saying "no there's nothing wrong with your phone, it's just you two.." I did not get an apology, or anything. They were rude and handled it in a very childish manner. I'm never going to shop there again. read more

I was there today (Sunday March 6th). I had called them in a panic because I shattered my iPhone screen. They said if I came in today that they would take them about 1 hour to fix. So I rushed there and dropped it off. When I came back and got my phone we found a little hick-up with it and they quickly fixed it. They were so kind, helpful, and knew what they were doing. I was a big fan of this chain in other locations but haven't had good luck at this one. It's typically a very long wait even if you have an appointment. They do a good job of greeting people who walk in but not a good job providing timely service. That aside, my issue is with their sales tactics. I went in for an iPhone repair and they suggested a screen cover that provides a warranty on the screen. I wanted the less expensive screen cover but they recommended the $50 one so strongly and emphasized the warranty so much that they talked me into it. And they installed it for me. BUT now they don't want to honor the warranty!! There are all kinds of excuses, extra registration steps they didn't mention before, and a very rude condescending attitude. They kinda make you feel like you should be embarrassed trying to use the warranty they pushed you to buy. Very dishonest practice and completely unnecessary to yell at customers on their way out. read more

I have been in this location before and received great service. I made an appointment this morning online for 10:30 to have a battery replaced in my phone. I thought an appointment time would take 30 minutes at the most and I would be out of there by 11:00. The employee I encountered let me know it would be 12:00 before they could get to me as "the company makes us double book the same times and there were 2 phones ahead of me." I did not anticipate this hour and a half wait as I had other things planned. I said I would wait as long as I can, but not 90 minutes. I way trying to wrap my head around how a 10:30 "appointment" turned into a noon appointment I didn't make online and how this delay was going to impact my day. The employee told me I could reschedule or leave my phone and they would get to it the they could. I decided to wait in my car as long as I could as there was nowhere to sit in the store and turned to walk that way about to say I will wait outside in my car. The employee called out to me that he needed my passcode to unlock my phone and asked for it. I walked back to the counter and he asked me again. By now this employee's attitude was more than I could reasonably believe as his rudeness and tone were disrespectful, so I told him I would not give him my passcode. Was I going to trust a device to this person?? I asked for my phone back and gathered my things and said "thank you" as I was done. He snorted and replied "yeah, you have a nice day." I have owned 3 businesses in my life and feel strongly that this employee needs more customer service training. read more

Wow 4 times the price! I could see $20.00 to $25.00 since they had it in stock but $39.99 that is outrageous! This place fixed my phone and they were fine but for some reason they went way downhill. I took my girlfriends phone in to be fixed and the screen is very discolored, it is very dim, and there are unusual lines going across the screen that are not supposed to be there. Also she dropped her phone with a very good case on it from like a foot from the ground and it cracked. I have a brand new phone and it fell down a set of stairs without a case on and it didn't have a scratch. We took it back and asked for a refund or for them to do it again and nothing got fixed as if they never even touched it. They told us that it's a replacement and it's not going to be the best but that's total bs because they fixed my phone before and it was fine. They also are not very nice. When we were there they were yelling at this old man and ripping him off too with a return he was trying to make. This store overall trash and should be avoided. read more

DO NOT HAVE THEM PROGRAM ANYTHING FOR YOU!!! The manager is the worst manager I have ever met in my life! If you read below you can see what I had to deal with. After all of this he felt it was necessary to blame me and my Truck and YELL at me! I spent $300 to have a new KEY and FOB made/programmed for my truck. Waited 3 weeks for delivery once the product came in they did ok at coding my FOB but they messed up cutting the KEY and tried to program it but couldn't and tripped the computer so my check engine light came on. The guys said they could not reset it so I had to take it somewhere else to get the light fixed. When they went to program the KEY after having it recut they set off my ANTI THEFT and could not reset it. I had to take it to the dealer to get it fixed. They did refund my money but refused to pay for the reprogramming at the dealer. The countermen are excellent in their customer service but the manager needs improvement! I asked for the District Manager to speak with me and have yet to hear from her. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service when things go wrong. Let me start off by saying i went for the BEST place to fix an iPad screen. I had an iPad mini that got dropped and cracked. I Immediately taped up the crack and put a screen protector on to keep out dust and degree and protect fingers. It wasn't a bad crack but over time it got worse. Each time I ensured the crack was sealed. Everything worked perfectly. All I needed was the glass replaced. BatteriesPlus on North Division was fast, prompt and awesome to take it in and do everything that it needed. The problem: I took it home and the screen began to peel off and 'pop'because the glue wasn't set. With an awesome return policy I expected no problems. Returned, fixed, screen peels off again exposing all the hardware and logic circuits to dust and dirt. I was told they couldn't work on it for 2 weeks, so I waited and returned. Conclusion: their screens were bad and now all should be fine. Why they couldn't tell me before? I don't know but hindsight told me the strange tone and remarks made by the awesome staff were hinting at the problem but they couldn't tell me. I appreciate that. 4 more times I had to being it back because the digitizer was on the fritz, the screen was peeling, and touching the black frame outside the screen opened apps. The final time I took it in the home button stuck to the point nothing worked, there was dirt UNDER the screen stuck to the screen and scratches inside the glass. Response: I was accused of causing problems, told that I caused dirt to get inside when it was cracked initially, and they would not uphold the warranty that was maybe 4 of 6 mo. used. I was told rudely they would look at it one last time and then if I wasn't happy they would take the screen and give me what was left and my money back. I understand money was lost on my device, but to not stand by your warranty and get hostile because you are frustrated with the situation and blame the customer is ridiculous. To go on more about how it always left perfectly when I showed problems before leaving 3 times is just poor business practice. Warranties are there for a reason, sometimes one just isn't as profitable. read more

Some of the other guys offer the tempered glass protection for free. Batteries Plus charged $34 but with a $10 coupon again. Listen up. Short story: This is THE BEST place to go for electronic repairs. Long story: I have an iPhone 5s with an otterbox case. My phone was almost bent in half, the screen was shattered, and the LCD display was COMPLETELY fried after getting crushed (it was on the tailgate of my truck and fell between the tailgate and bed when we slammed the tailgate shut). For less than it costs just to get a new screen and LCD display, they took my phone completely apart; all the components were put in a safe place while they bent the frame back into it's original shape with no marks left on it, the components were put back into the frame in the correct places and the LCD display was gently set in place and the screen slipped right into place. All this was done at the price to pay for them to fix just the screen. And here comes the golden news (drum roll...): My phone looks, feels, and works like it's brand NEW; NONE of my data was lost, they only charged me IF it worked when tested AFTER they fixed it (and work it does), and they had everything done with in an hour! These people KNOW what they are doing and are GENUINELY sympathetic and are willing to meet your EVERY need for your electronics. Wish I could give more than just 5 stars here. read more

Went there yesterday to get a new port for my phone. There was nothing else wrong with it. When I went to pick it up. They said they couldn't fix it. Plus my screen was very crack and my cell phone no longer work. They told me to take it back to ATT. HELLO!!!!! They're not the one that screwed my phone up. Honestly I have had one of the worst experiences of my life at this store. I dropped my sadly shattered iPhone 6s off on a Friday to be repaired, and seemingly had it fixed within an hour. Little did I know the screen was absolutely horrid looking. I noticed the screen was occasionally unresponsive to the touch, which had seldom happened before I had the screen replaced. It seemed like every couple of minutes a place on the screen would not respond to my touch, and I would have to hit the home button and try again. I later noticed whilst using my phone at night, that the contrast appeared to be off. It appeared as though dark colors on the phone at night had a white hue, and the colors just seemed to be off when used at night. I noticed on Monday that my finger kept dragging on the glass as I would swipe as opposed to sliding smoothly as it had done previously. If that wasn't enough already, I had noticed that when I had my phone sitting on a table, and slightly turned it, the screen would take on a terrible yellow hue as it was turned. I was unsure if this was just something that I had never noticed before about my iPhone, so I asked my boyfriend to try and replicate the color shifting on his iPhone 6s, and it did no such thing. Not only did I confirm my suspicion that something was off, when compared, the contrast and vividness of the colors was awful. My phone looked horrible compared to his. I also noticed that there was an overall yellow tint to the entire screen when compared to my boyfriend's phone. I continuously checked to ensure that night shift was not active when I was experiencing this, and sure enough, it was disabled. I went back into the store on Monday night to see what could be done, and was told that the screens aren't guaranteed to be as clear as they originally were, and I had to come back the next day to talk to the tech who had repaired my phone. As I came in the following day I was greeted with a skeptical front counter gentlemen who told me the exact same thing. He informed me that even Apple will not actually replace the screen, and that they will simply hand me a new phone. This was my first red flag as I had gone with my boyfriend to have screen fixed by Apple, and they replaced his screen, and not his entire phone. Also unbeknownst to the staff, I had completed screen repairs on iPhone in the past, and knew that what they were telling me about the process of actually fixing a screen was false. I stupidly agreed to let them put ANOTHER screen on the phone, and returned an hour later to pick it up. This is where my patience with this store reached a breaking point. I was waiting in line to pick up my phone, and a staff member there, I believe her name was Rebecca, was working out a dispute over a razor with an older gentleman. I am unsure of exactly what this dispute was, but she was extremely rude and impatient with this customer. She had an awful tone, and generally treated this man with no curtesy or respect. At one point she ordered this gentleman to slide his card, and her rudeness was noticed by another worker in the store who suggested she say please to the gentleman. At this point I was ready to cry and lost the $130 I had just paid to have my phone fixed, when this same worker asked us to give her 15 more minutes to fix the phone. I had left the store and returned 15 minutes later to pick up the phone, when a man simply handed me my phone and walked away. He did NOT ask if the problem had been resolved, or if everything looked alright. I was so dumbfounded at the lack of compassion and care that I walked out of the store in tears. They truly do not care about the quality of their work, or the satisfaction of their customers. I just lost $130 and was made to feel to be an annoyance to the staff rather than a customer. I will be getting a new screen put on somewhere else, as the clarity is still poor, and will never recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the money and take your business somewhere that actually appreciates it. read more
