Finally came back here to try the food but missed the dineLA menu. Our group of 4 came in at 7:45 with a reservation on Saturday night. Drinks - guava chameleon - pink lemonade - post melon(e) - tiger water Food - hamachi crudo - burrata toast - wagyu beef tartare - spicy wagyu bolognese - brussel sprouts - Sichuan spicy fried chicken - paella 2/5. Celebrated my bday here 6/30/23. I coordinated with Ella and she was communicative and detailed in helping me confirm the plans for my dinner for 13 people. We got the private gold room and it was such a nice splurge to have a secluded space! On the day of, Juan was our wonderful server. He was so lovely accommodating our many drink orders and crazy party. He was so friendly and added such a warm addition to our party. We are so blessed to have gotten him as our server. The food was also amazing. My favorite was the burrata toast and fried chicken. All the food came at perfect time and drinks as well. He kept the momentum of everything going! Dined here recently with friends for a little celebratory dinner. We came on a random weekday so it wasn't too busy and reservations were easily available. There's street parking and valet on the side of the restaurant. The ambiance and decor set the mood, very intimate and perfect for a date night. We ordered a few cocktails and they were delicious, my fave was the post melon. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share - burrata toast: this was okay, exactly how it sounds just bread with burrata on top and honey drizzle. - hamachi crudo: fresh and delicious, really liked the crunchy things that came with it - wagyu bolognese: everyone's favorite of the night, the sauce was spicy and flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly - uni agnolotti: pretty good but not as good as the bolognese - wagyu striploin: second favorite, this was cooked perfectly and the sauces that came with it really complemented the steak - we also ordered a few sides and my favorite were the truffle fries and brussel sprouts - for dessert we had tiramisu and basque cheesecake Overall we enjoyed our dinner and I will definitely be back for other celebrations or date nights. I've been wanting to try intercrew for a while now so I was excited when I finally did! The inside is very elegant but still hip so there was a nice ambiance inside. My partner and I tried the Valentine's Day pre fixe menu and I think we would've rather ordered a la carte. Anyways the cocktails were really delicious and I mean.. they weren't too bad in price but ended up being a lot anyways. The crab lasagna was seriously one of the best lasagnas I've ever had. It's not a typical pasta though, more like Asian fusion pasta haha. The Hokkaido scallop tart was interesting... it was very very sweet like a dessert but it has raw scallop so it threw me off a bit lol. But it was still delicious! The salmon was okay it wasn't my favorite part of the meal. All in all I'll probably come back to try their regular menu items. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at Intercrew. First off, the parking was horrible. Dinner in dtla...it's a given that parking would be hard. However, I decided to do Intercrew's valet parking...which was a hassle. They only have ONE person who is dealing with your car/payments. I waited at the valet stand for 10 minutes and still, no one was there. Please hire a few more drivers. Second, we made reservations for upstairs. However, the host sat us downstairs. We notified him that we made reservations already upstairs, and he said that it's closed off for other people. He was very rude since the beginning, chill dude. Anywho, a text, call, anything would have been nice regarding changes made to our reservations. Luckily, our server was able to accommodate us and seat us in a more private area with curtains. Lastly, the food took forever to come out. Salmon roe uni rice was not great. The DUCK was yummy though. Overall, 2 stars for the duck and the ambiance of the place. read more

We went to Intercrew for a birthday night dinner for my friend on Friday and they went above and beyond what I have expected! If you love Asian fusion cuisine, this is a must try place in LA. I will say the food is on the pricier side but with the flavors I was tasting it was well worth it. We also had an amazing server who was very attentive. We ordered the Naan Appetizer with the Ssamjang butter, and I wish I ordered another order to-go because this was amazing! The naan was soft and buttery, and paired perfectly well with a ssamjang butter. We also ordered the Hamachi Crudo which was also so good and very flavorful. My favorite dish was the Sichuan Cumin Lamb. The lamb was tender, and the sichuan sauce was dancing in my mouth! We also ordered the Uni Garlic Rice which was a little salty but all because of the amount of Ikura that was on top of the rice. We also ordered the Milk and Cookies and I was not a huge fan of the milk but my friend loved it. The cookies were so ooey gooey! My hubz & I came for date night. Super chic, Hollywood vibes. Staff was amazing & ver attentive. The head chef himself came out to chat with us and gave us his recommendations, and he did not disappoint! For the appetizer, we got the Naan with the Ssamjang Butter - absolutely delicious, melts in your mouth, the butter was bursting with flavor but not overwhelming. For dinner, I ordered the Dry Aged Duck, and just....WOW. It wasn't gamey. It was tender and the skin had just the right crisp. Did not taste like what many think duck tastes like. 100% recommend this! My hubz ordered the Bone In Kalbi Asado...soooo good!! Melts in your mouth! For dessert, I had the Basque Cheesecake, which I don't how else to describe other than creamy but light! My hubz had the Cookies & Honey Milk - soo underrated! I admit - I'm not a big fan of soft cookies, but it absolutely melts in your mouth! And paired with the Honey Milk (which we found out that Chef Johnny gets the Honey from his own bees upstairs!!) First, the ambiance, a very cute place, nice lighting and the rounding staircase gives an elevated elegance. We were seated right away and our server was very attentive, making sure glasses of water remained filled and removed finished plates quickly. As an appetizer, I tried the Albacore Crudo with a soy glaze and yuzu buttermilk gel. It was so good, so much flavor involved, and the albacore just melted in your mouth. The next course was the Wagyu Bolognese, which could have been its own entree. There was so much going on with it, but it all married together so well. I think my friend ate half of it while I tried get King Trumpet Risotto which was also great. With my entre came Dry Aged Branzino Filet with a red wine vinaigrette and blisters tomatoes. Perfectly cooked fish, the vinaigrette was so tasty and the tomatoes added a little sweetness. So good. And for dessert came the ice cream sandwich, which is very different than what you expect but will exceed your expectations. Brought new friends to Intercrew for Dine LA week and I know you guys are tired of hearing from me but I can't help it. Each time I take new friends its so special. Danielle and Jose make us feel like they are truly glad to see us. Do you know how rare that is in LA? Anyway, I have lots of friends and each time, and I really mean each time I bring new folks they are blown away by the flavors and the presentations and the kindness and the ambiance. We will start with Tiger Water ( I ask for Vodka) and Pink Lemonade then go straight for the Nann, - we ate our before we remembered to take the photo! My bf & I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time, but it didn't quite meet our expectations. We got the one wagyu bolognese, Australian wagyu cut & truffle fries. Bolognese 4/5: This dish had nice flavors and a kick to it, but our pasta noodles came out pretty undercooked. However the waiter was nice enough to get it switched out. Wagyu 2/5: Probably the most disappointing dish. For a $100, I feel like I've had way better steak. It didn't really melt in my mouth or anything. The portions were pretty big, but we got it medium rare, and half the steak was more like medium. Also they only had horseradish sauce & another strange orange sauce for it, which didn't rly complement the food well. The spinach on the side had a sour taste to it. Truffle fries 4/5: can't really go wrong with some truffle fries, they were a bit cold though. I don't see how anyone can resist walking up those stairs... What a stunning venue! A blue lit dining floor that seems to set a stage for the bright white wrap around staircase and high ceiling that begs you to go upstairs. So what did I do? I went upstairs. Coincidentally, the reason I was here was for a hosted event on the second level. The second level has bar, and open area in front of the bar and a few private rooms. The rooms upstairs have a slightly different color scheme compared to the first level, which is a nice variation. Conversation that night was live... Got into a discussion with an Asian American movie producer, talked with a Korean American actor, a popular Youtube Influencer, a young female movie director, and then there was a me, the guy who writes a few Yelp reviews a year, goes to a few concerts, goes to lots of basketball games, doesn't live in LA and doesn't speak a lick of Korean. I did not get a chance to have any of their tasty treats here, but I did grab a few drinks. They have wine by the glass and full cocktail menu. Their bartenders can make any classic drink along with their house crafted specials. I tried the Anejo Honey Sour (tequila, lemon, honey, flamed grapefruit), Tiger Water (gin, lychee, orgeat, lime) and Post Melon (Toki, Midori, almond, makrut lime, coconut). All of the cocktails were well balanced. If you want to try something you've never had before, try the Post Melon if you are good with slightly creamy, it is like a creamy melon drink without overdoing it in any aspect, one of their best sellers. Parking around this area can be tough on the weekends and you might have to succumb to the $15 valet. But as for being a dope place to be in K-Town, it is amazing inside and the people watching is top notch. As for the food, I might have to come back and try that next time! read more

Came here with a fairly large group for a reservation right at opening. Most of the restaurant was empty for a majority of the first hour or so. The decor, ambience are upscale, nice and clean. - For being an upscale restaurant, they didn't offer to take jackets or coats. - We were told the bartender is new so our drinks might take a while, but nobody ordered anything complicated. It was mostly beer and simple cocktails (e.g. gin and tonic, whiskey and coke). -- The drinks did end up taking a while. I asked for a specific gin which the waitress said they had, and subsequently forgot to tell me they are out of it. The gin is not listed on the drink menu, which I didn't get a chance to look at until a lot later, but I waited almost the whole night for her to tell me that. - Some of the foods took extremely long to come out. I sat next one of my friend's friend and he ordered a steak well done, and it came 20+min AFTER every other entree came out. Overall: 4.5/5 (dine in) They were having issues with their reservation system so we had to call in multiple times but they were able to get us a table. When we checked in, we were seated right away at a booth. The customer service is great in that they're attentive, but they checked in way too many times & interrupted our conversations quite a bit. It did make us feel a bit rushed even though it wasn't their intention. Panna Still Water ($8): Not sure how they charge for water but we got 2 Panna still water bottles. 5th & Adam Cocktail ($15): This is a mezcal based drink my husband got. I thought it was okay but nothing stood out about it. Pretty standard to me. Anejo Honey Sour Cocktail ($16): I liked my tequila based drink. It had a honey aftertaste which is nice. Wasn't very strong to get me buzzed though. Wagyu Bolognese ($28): I didn't really taste the wagyu as everything blended together in this dish so nothing stood out. Pan Roasted Dry Aged Duck Breast ($26): The duck breast wasn't bad but wasn't that great either. It could have been juicer, & I think they would have benefited with having a thicker more umami sauce on the side for dipping since the duck & garlic jus wasn't enough to balance out the dryness. I also thought the yukon gold mash & mustard frill were interesting sides to the duck breast but wouldn't say they complimented it well. Uni & Duxelle Agnolotti ($28): The favorite of the table. Everyone loved the uni. I didn't try the uni but really liked the duxelle agnolotti. The agnolotti was plumped & once you take a bite, the duxelle provides a burst of flavors. You can definitely taste the butter from the duxelle which makes it so creamy. The presentation was also beautiful so this is a must try. Seafood Paella ($68): The paella came out pretty dry. The rice was like crispy rice. The soondubu base flavor didn't come out as well. We forgot to ask what the catch of the day was but it was a white fish which was good but not at the melt in your mouth level. I've been looking for a new bar to check out in LA, and Intercrew definitely passes the vibe check with their beautiful interiors, innovative drinks and dishes, and live music. While I do think their menu items are a bit limiting, this spot is definitely still perfect for a date or special occasion. So far, I've tried: Post melon and guava chameleon: both of these cocktails were beautifully mixed, and I would highly recommend if you like sweet, fruity drinks! Hamachi carpaccio: I loved the freshness of the fish, but I was confused by the cacophony of flavors. I had pieces that were just savory (from the yuzu soy sauce), spicy (from the greens), and sweet (from some topping). Pan roasted dry aged duck breast: the duck breast was cooked perfectly, with a crispy exterior and tender interior, but it was way too gamey for my liking. Highly recommend pairing it with the greens and mashed potatoes for a more palatable experience. Wagyu bolognese: this was so comforting, although I would have appreciated a bit more beef and more Al Dente noodles. The pasta also had an interesting texture that makes me think it's made in-house. You could easily walk past this place and not even know it's there. The windows are dark from the outside but inside is a different story. You go through the huge double doors into this dimmed romantic bar/restaurant. I got there a bit before my reservation and sat at the bar for a drink. Really delicious drink. Then I got sat for my reservation and had several dishes, including the Sichuan Fried Chicken which was delicious! It was, however, too spicy for me. We got here around 10:30pm on a Thursday night. Guava chameleon and bomb cyclone were both amazing - my bf said the guava chameleon was possibly the best cocktail he's had so far. However, it took us 25 mins to get our ordered drinks, but that was not an issue. The bartender acknowledged our patience and thanked us for the wait, so we could empathize.... However, when we tried to order a second round, she ignored us all together and never looked our way for 40 mins. This was bothersome because she had given us the menu again upon our request, and should've anticipated our order. I also tried to wave down the busser but he ignored me twice despite locking eye contact...this was a disappointing reaction. Though I know he can't take orders, I had figured he would at least kindly inform the bartender. Instead, she was preoccupied chatting with the small group on the other side of the bar. What was especially frustrating was that a group of 10 or so ppl managed to order drinks before us...at this point, we just got the check and left.. Would like to revisit but it was concerning only one bartender was working on a Thursday night...My bf mentioned he and his friends got bottle service upstairs in a separate room. In this era of inflation, it's been a hot minute since I've been to a restaurant and thought, "wow, the food is amazing and portions were much bigger than I expected!" (Can you tell I'm jaded and sick of spending over $20 for an avocado toast and coffee, only to get hungry again 2 hour later) I found out about Intercrew from a YouTube interview (long story) and was looking forward to checking it out. I'll be honest, seeing the prices on the online menu made me cringe a tad, but I might as well yolo if I'm already splurging on aesthetic K-town coffee shops that Instagram keeps showing me. With its tall ceilings, large yet minimalist chandelier, and moody high-contrast lighting, the place is so beautiful and elegant. It's an ideal date night spot, with whimsical mushroom-shaped table lamps and plush suede seating. For drinks, hubs got a beer (nice selection!) All the cocktails sounded fascinating, and I decided on the AÑEJO HONEY SOUR ($16) with tequila, lemon, local honey, and a flamed grapefruit. Presentation was a little more basic than I had anticipated, but I love how the citrus, sweet, and floral flavors layered with the tequila. Their food menu is divided into first, second, and third sections. Service was excellent and I appreciate the servers so much, but I think a brief explanation on how to order may have been helpful. I was under the impression that you were supposed to order one from each per person, like a build-your-own 3-course menu. For two people, we ended up getting 1 from first, 1 from second, and 2 from third. We thought we were being cheap, but it was probably twice the amount of food we would usually have for dinner, and there was no room for dessert ): We started off with the HOUSEMADE NAAN ($9). To be honest, I don't think I've ever had naan this fancy: it came with a ssamjang Vermont truffle with finely chopped scallions, and it tastes extremely truffley. The naan itself tasted freshly made and fluffy. I was excited for the WAGYU PAPPARDELLE ($26) and it definitely did not disappoint. The wide-cut pasta soaked in all the complex flavors from the garlic, aged parmigiana reggiano, tomato sauce, and Calabrian chili. It tasted like a party in your mouth! They did not skimp on the wagyu, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Although the menu has a spicy warning, it's mainly just a kick from the chili, not 3-peppers-K-town-soondubu-spicy. The SQUID INK TRUFFLE RISOTTO ($67) was another masterpiece. Not only was it accompanied by several (large and juicy!) grilled tiger prawns and mussels; it came with a "catch of the day" which for us was a slab of sea bass which could easily have been its own entree. The risotto was very well done, indulgent but refined and too creamy. I also forgot how tasty squid ink is, and using it for a risotto is a creative concept. The SICHUAN GRILLED CUMIN LAMB ($42) arrived when we were already full, but omg this was so amazing. I expected two small lamb chops, but it was a whole platter. The meat was grilled to perfection, and the pairing with aji verde, cherry tomatoes, and arugula were so on-point. In some ways this dish reminded me of Brazilian steak with pesto (Brazil Cafe in Berkeley if you you know what I mean) Parking is a bit of a pain, but like most places in K-town, if you keep circling around and/or walk farther, you eventually find something. There's also a valet option. TL;DR - a classy spot, very much Alive, with stellar food. Their website highlights the back story and the concepts of their chefs and the owners. Was able to find street parking on a weekday but had to go around. The atmosphere is really nice here and the high ceilings gave it a very roomy feeling. All the food had very strong flavors and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I would say is the portions are a bit small. Especially the pork belly dish! There were only a few pieces there but so many leftover veggies. My favorite dish is probably the beef tartare. The vibes are everything here at Intercrew! From the upscale chic, Art Deco interior design to the classy and sophisticated ambiance, it's the perfect spot for a girl's night out or date night in K-town. Their menu, which draws its influence from French, Italian, Japanese and Mediterranean cuisines, is more tapas style although they do offer dry-aged steak options as well. We had a group of 9 so we were able to sample quite a few options which included: - Burrata Toast (honey truffle gastrique, brioche, burrata, pistachio butter) - Caesar Salad (gem lettuce, fish sauce, parmesan, bread crumbs) - Hamachi Crudo (blood orange, ponzu, capers, wasabi, Serrano, puff amaranth) - Uni and Duxelle Angolotti (uni, creme fraiche, chervil, dry aged duck broth) - Seafood Paella (fish of the day, black tiger prawns, littleneck clams, pork, soondubu base) - 14 Day Dry Aged Tomahawk (romesco, horseradish cream) We enjoyed everything we ordered and some of these we got multiples of some of these dishes since the portions were not enough to go around with just one order. Standouts include the Burrata Toast, Uni and Duxelle Angolotti and Seafood Paella, which tasted like a cross between a paella and kimchi fried rice. Definitely the most inventive paella I've ever had! While the food is delicious and worth a visit, the cocktails just might be the real MVPs here. Swanky and trendy, this is a terrific date-night spot or place to celebrate a birthday with a group. It felt like everyone dining there was celebrating a birthday. With the dim lighting, high ceilings and fancy food presentation, this place has all the makings of a hip restaurant. The service here is extremely slow. Not sure if it's designed to be a 4 hour meal or if the restaurant was short staffed but it felt hard to track down our waiter and take our order. Fwiw, not ALL staff wore masks... our waiter did not wear one and it made me feel very uncomfortable at times. The hostess did not wear a mask either. That should've tipped me off in the first place. All dishes here are meant to be shared so for our large group, we pretty much got two of everything except for the larger dishes. They did run out of a few items so come prepared with backup options. Out of the smaller dishes we ordered, I really enjoyed the truffle mac and cheese and wagyu bolognese. I love creamy mac and cheese and it was just that. The bolognese was also delicious. The pappardelle noodles were cooked al dente and the the dish had quite the kick. We also got the seafood paella, ribeye wagyu and wagyu tomahawk. The paella was alright; it was a little too mushy for me. There was a good amount of seafood and the prawns were huge. The ribeye was a bit of a letdown but that might've been because we ordered the tomahawk which was delicious. Not only is it a great photo op, it's delicious! My favorite restaurant in all of Koreatown! I've been coming to Intercrew since the summer when they had their soft opening and I've dined here about three times now. The consistency, amazing service and delicious food always gets to me and never disappoints! I keep bringing new friends here and everyone has enjoyed the vibe, the food and the drinks. The entire interior is absolutely gorgeous. It really is great vibes and they occasionally have live music too. The chandelier in the middle gives the place a very classy vibe. The restaurant is two stories with the upstairs being more of a chill bar and downstairs being the main restaurant. Some of my recs would be for drinks are the east side, sour peche kid, and ricky bobby. For food the wagyu bolognese is a must, Australian and Japanese Wagyu sampler melts in your mouth, mashed potatoes and truffle fries are some good sides. I am also crazy obsessed with their cheesecake made with light goat cheese. I'm not into goat cheese but trust me when I say this one is a must order as well! I recently had my birthday dinner and the staff was so so kind. They even gave me a dessert on the house with candles on it. Such a thoughtful gesture. "Outer beauty turns the head, but inner beauty turns the heart", and Intercrew is apparently doing both. Parking is always a bit*h in Korea town, why not spend $10 for valet parking? Problem solved! The ambient of Intercrew was glamorous and beautiful, the chandelier was enormous and grand, the tables were spacious and private. The waitress and staffs were super friendly and polite, waitress was helpful and knowledgeable, her recommendation of the drinks and foods were on par. Hamachi Crudo was fresh and tasty, the sesame had really added extra flavor to the dish. Duxelle Agnolotti paired with uni were a perfect match together, the stuffing was very flavorful and complex, it was the best dish of the night. Wagyu platter was cooked to perfection, medium rare and red to the center. This plate offers Aus and Japanese premium grade wagyu, you can definitely tell their differences, each to their own.
