I was so pleased I did. I've gone to PT before for balance. None of them compare to the treatments I have had here. I have seen 3 different people and they were all excellent. The only problem here is it can be difficult to park their lot only has a few parking spots.

I went for a shoulder problem. On my initial evaluation there were no measurements taken for my lack of ROM of my shoulder/decreased strength, the reason I was going to therapy. You need a objective findings to set goals of therapy. I was not asked my goals of therapy. Alan, the owner, did my initial evaluation. No history was asked of me. Very important as I am a breast cancer survivor with residual lymphedema affecting my shoulder, again why I went to therapy. In 3 sessions my treatment consisted of a hands-on massage followed by more massage with a handheld massager. Of course, the massages felt good of my upper traps and neck, my shoulder was not addressed. I was hoping to get a Home Excercise Program so I could follow up at home, No exercises given in 3 sessions. HEP is standard protocol. I found the clinic to be quite strange. Over crowded with equipment, low celings and very stuffy. It was like the Winchester Mystery House going through hallways, stairs to finally arrive on the second floor treatment room, feeling isolated from the rest of the clinic. I cannot recommend PTI as I question their ethics. '

That said, they've joined with a new group and you must keep your receipts and check your bills carefully! Despite paying my copays at every visit, such that I had a 0 balance, Albany PT sent me a bill. When I called to inquire, I was told that my insurance company had tripled the required copay on one specific date, causing me to have a balance due. When I called the insurance company to find out about my changed copay, they had no record of a copay change, or any amount due. Insurance had fully paid their part and I had fully paid my part. The billing contractor for Albany PT was insistent that the EOB showed a required triple copay for one specific date -- but she was unwilling to share the EOB with me! Something sketchy going on in the billing department...

Almost immediately upon beginning treatment with Ann Michelle, my son finally started to regain mobility. She was fiercely dedicated to getting him back up on his feet walking, and even back to snowboarding again eventually. Her deep knowledge of the body and how it heals was stunning. Her cheerful demeanor was as healing as her massage and strengthening work. My son is devoted to her and we are all deeply grateful. We also had a good experience with the front desk staff and scheduling has been smooth and easy (once we got in).

I have a lot of mechanical issues with my body, and she tunes my ass up. IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. She has trained me through bilateral rotator cuff injuries, SI Joint dysfunction, trigger points, and all kinds of injuries from falling on ice, snow, and the Market St Tour de FU. She always puts me back together to make me stronger than I was when I started. Haley is amazingly knowledgeable about anatomy and how the body works. She is patient and kind and funny, and she always brings me back to a positive place of love for this body that carries me through life. I appreciate VERY MUCH that she is body positive and focused on functional strength and athletic goals - not appearance or weight loss. Haley wants everyone to love movement as much as she does, and that's really the best kind of coach. I can't recommend her highly enough.

It has been many years since I was treated by Joe. At times he seemed to go far beyond what one…read morewould normally expect from a practitioner, but he also seemed extraordinarily thin-skinned and threatened to stop treating me a couple of times because he imagined some kind of danger where none existed. What ultimately happened was far more disturbing. I was bedridden, extremely vulnerable, and during one treatment I opened up emotionally while he was working with me. Nothing I shared was unusual or inappropriate. He walked out of the room. I assumed he had gone to put coins in the parking meter, but he never came back. Afterward, he never responded to my emails or phone calls. I was desperate for some explanation and closure after being left that exposed, and at the time I still wanted him to continue working with me. I have lived with a complex structural medical problem for many years and have encountered a great deal of cruelty and unprofessional behavior, but Joe's conduct still stands out. Abandoning a bedridden patient in an acutely vulnerable moment without a word, and then refusing all communication, was profoundly cruel, immature, and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I also think this reflects on the practice as a whole. I wish Mari provided better professional guidance to ensure that a patient was never treated this way. There are many glowing reviews here, and perhaps others had very different experiences. This was mine, and after all these years I believe it deserves to be part of the record.

Although she referred me to a good chiropractor, she worked on me for a short time and I noticed a dramatic difference about ten minutes later. My range of motion was significantly limited and I was in pain every time I tested those boundaries. I had plenty of massages and acupuncture, but nothing relieved the issue. I decided to give Andreea a call, and I'm so glad I did. Now, bear in mind, this is no zen spa experience. Don't come in here for dim lights and gentle atmospheric piano. I at one point compared it to childbirth (in a learning to be present with discomfort way, not in a dear god there's a human exiting me way). It was intense. But immediately afterward, I sat up and scratched my back. Big whoop, you think? Indeed. I hadn't been able to do so without pain in at least six months. This was an investment, but Andreea got the job done in a single session. I even asked if I needed to come back, and she was completely transparent that she didn't think I needed to, but of course was welcome back if anything came up in the future -- zero upselling pressure. If you're experiencing pain and nothing's worked, I highly recommend getting in here and getting better.

After much research, and having nearly despaired of finding any place that was not direly depressing, I miraculously came upon Richmond Post-Acute Skilled Nursing and have never looked back. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. The manager, Dustin, answered my call at 7 pm and not only reassured me that they would do their best to find a bed for my mother but came the next day to the hospital to see her. Throughout the time that my mother was there, Dustin was present every day and it was evident that he was liked and trusted by everyone there, and for good reason. The administrative and nursing staff are without exception professional, compassionate, and full of good humor towards the patients and one another (amazing, considering the challenging circumstances of acute care). At times it felt more like an extended family than a nursing facility. One of the reviews that I read when I made my decision to send my mother there said that they had arrived there unable to walk and left dancing. This was not at all an exaggeration. Taze, one of the most delightful, competent members of the staff, somehow decided to take special care of my mother and he not only assisted her in every way imaginable (and sent me photos and videos of her while I was away) but actually had her dancing to Lady Gaga's music. The occupational and physical therapists are top-notch, the nursing staff are uniformly excellent, and the food is delicious and carefully tailored to the individual needs of the patients. The bi-weekly art therapy classes offered by Anki are one of the most indispensable activities offered there, and you can witness how the patients thrive in the creative and inspiring atmosphere that Anki manufactures. I really can't recommend Richmond Post-Acute highly enough and will be eternally grateful to them for all that they have done for my mother.
