Today was my eye appointment with Dr. Garrett. I have to say I was really nervous switching eye doctors after 8 years at my previous doctor. All the staff was super friendly- they were all very knowledgeable about my eye insurance and how it worked. They made sure I understood and didn't have any questions. All my questions were answered. I had stopped in several months ago after I fell asleep with my glasses on and broke a screw they didn't charge me, but asked me to consider them the next time I needed an eye exam. Then the crazy stuff happened at my previous eye center. I am a bit nervous bc my prescription changed, but I have been having some issues and they think this could be the reason. Fingers crossed that all this happened for a reason. They have an excellent selection of glasses to choose from and there was a sale on the lenses! Great deal to get a new pair of glasses and my lens changed from two other sets. read more

the best experience I've had at a doctors office. You would have thought you entered an optometrist designed just for you. I felt comfortable and taken care of the whole time by everyone on staff! Nice staff, but the doctor is in a rush! Checked my eyes in seconds like a machine. I told them I need it for playing tennis. The glasses are useless. I cannot see close objects now. When I came back to change it they said it's because of your age and you need second piece of glass (like old people for reading!). I said why I can't just change the whole thing? All my friends have one piece glasses. He said no. I left. Going to another place. Do not recommend the doctor here. read more

The front desk was very helpful. The eyeware that I purchased was terrible. I wore them twice with duel lines that give me headaches. I took them in and explained that I cant see out of them, the gentleman [ salesman ] said he would adjust them with a pair of wire pliers. After bending them to make the line lower he said I was good to go. Also I wanted to say that the Doctor was good, the front staff was good. The salesman need to be more honest about their glasses. horrible Service. unfortunately It was going to be my 2nd visit and was asked to fill out the same paperwork I did on-line. I said I filled it all out 3 weeks before my appt. they claim that they could not locate it. I then said I have been here before and the answer was it did not matter. I do not often leave reviews good or bad. But this office deserves it. The staff are all friendly starting with the lady up front who knows my name when I come in. I asked her about it and she said that she believes by the time anyone comes in three times she should know their name. The doctor is excellent and takes time to answer all my questions. read more

As a current patient, I called to ask if I could pay for 1 pair of contacts because I lost a pair and needed one to hold me over until my new insurance kicks in. I want to point out that I didn't ask for a free hand out, I specifically asked to pay for one pair because you have to purchase 6 months worth online, nothing less. The front desk assistant rudely told me that, "that's not their policy and trial pairs are only used for diagnostic purposes" I proceeded to explain my situation further after which she finally said that she will ask the doctor. As you probably would have guessed, they never got back to me.. it's interesting because when I originally came to them about a year ago, they won me over by offering to give me a pair of contacts to hold me over until my appointment (which was several weeks out). I guess giving a customer a pair of contacts is only allowed when it comes to winning your business over, not when you need them as a current customer. Will not be returning or recommending anyone else to come here. read more

My 96 year old mother came to see Dr. Garrett and he was so wonderful with her. He even escorted us to the car and carried the umbrella to keep Mom dry in the rain! I scheduled appointments for my daughter and me. He and his staff gave a thorough exam and made sound recommendations for us both. The ladies that assisted in our eyeglasses selection were very helpful and extremely patient! I have been going to Dr. Garrett for the past 11-12 years. Before Dr. Garrett I dreaded going to the eye dr. Dr. Garrett and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Garrett shows great concern to his patients. I called with an issue that was concerning to me and they were able to fit me in same day. After my exam, Dr. Garrett explained that I would need to be seen by a specialist and he would give me a call the following day. I left his office at 5:15 pm and the next morning I received a call by 8:15 with an appointment with the specialist the very next day. This place is unorganized and continues to be unorganized. I have been checking my mail for over 5 weeks now for a package that was obviously never placed. I was being patient because COVID but there is no excuse for the amount of lies this practice wants to tell you. First I was told their system had crashed the day placing my order I received five calls back asking me information I had gave when placing it. I ordered my contacts December the 22nd it is now January the 16. I called yesterday to ask has it been delivered because at this point they must've been delivered to the wrong address. This morning I received a call of what color did I order to check and make sure it was correct oh and what address did I want to use my P.O. Box when on the 22nd I told them that was my parents address and I live in Murfreesboro TN. So that's letting me know that my order was never placed but on the 22nd I was told my credit card went through so I'm sure now I'm being charged twice. I never had issues when they were LensCrafters I should be receiving my contacts for free at this point but I'm sure they will charge me again. I would definitely consider going somewhere else everytime you call they can leave you on hold for an hour and act like it's nothing. The only reason they are getting one star is because you have to select one just to post a review. read more

I had a 10:45 appointment. I arrived at 10:30 to fill out paperwork. It was just myself and 1 other gentleman in the waiting area. While I waited I took time to look over frames. At 11:00 I was brought to the back. Strange interaction with the person who brought me back. Took a "health history", (I am an RN) and asked 3+ times about a history of anxiety or depression. Seemed excessive and not terribly pertinent to an eye exam. Told the doctor would be right in. At 11:30 the doctor came in and dialated my eyes. He made mention of his schedule being overbooked and flippantly apologized for the delay. I brought my mother to drive due to my anticipation of my eyes being dilated and a chronic medical condition. Meanwhile, I can hear a rep who brought lunch and staff talking about always being hungry. Around 11:35 a very flustered woman came back into the room and said my mom was worried and that she explained they had "emergency add on appointments" and she knew I was being dialated and that was causing delay. Dr came back in and did my exam and gave done cryptic advice about exam and glasses need. Then on what felt like a sales pitch talked about their own lab and my insurance and their prices. Was given a prescription and told to follow up in a month. Finally got to check out at noon. Frames were overpriced and they have a weird group of glasses on a case due to insurance not covering them? Left without buying glasses and am considering a second eye exam at my own cost due to the uncertainty of the prescription of the glasses. Overall an unprofessional process. Won't return. read more

Wow...so many negative reviews! I had an appointment because I have a contagious recurring eye infection I needed medication for. I told the technician to be careful before she touched my eye because it was contagious, she laughed and agreed. She then touched my cornea of my infected eye with an instrument and touched my cornea of the non infected eye with the same instrument. I immediately asked what she was doing and told her she just infected my other eye with an infection there is no cure for!! All she did was say, "We are trained to do it that way." No apology!! No I'm sorry I just infected you with something that could possibly make you blind In both eyes now that has no cure!! Nothing!! When I told the doctor that I was really upset, he didn't apologize either! He just said, "Oh, you can get it in both eyes." He also said it can't be transmitted that way....really? Every eye doctor I have been going to since I was 8 has told me the opposite! I made them notate my records and got a copy of everything in case something happens with my other eye....I am NEVER going back there!!! It would be one thing to make a mistake, but to not even apologize and pretend nothing is wrong?? Don't trust your eye health to these people!! They could care less about your health!! read more

The staff at this office is terrible. I experienced the office manager screaming at a patient for not filling out the paperwork correctly. Then, Dr. Garrett got my prescriptions wrong, and I had to visit another optometrist to get it sorted out. It was a nightmare! read more
