Our plumbing bills typically run between $20k and $30k per year. we started using Rob and Austin in Nov 2025 with seriously mixed results, ranging from on-time and fair, to complete failure to return calls and/or show up. most recently they charged us $425 to replace a new valve and a couple 3/4" nipples that feed a water heater. when asked why it was my fault that they did not have a standard 3/4" brass ball value on the truck, rather than a constructive dialog the conversation decivilized, ending with him accusing our on-site contractor of 20 year of lying. truly unbelievable. nobody needs that in their life. there are simply too many options to put up with folks that have a chip on their shoulder, and everything is somebody else's fault... nothing to see here. move on.

I initially called for a leak detection. I was stressing out. I was sure I had a leak in my house. The meter sputtered intermittently when there was no water running in the house and my water bill went up $40 in 1 month. Fearing the worst, I called Ben. He spent 5 hours at my house trying to find the leak. After his inspection he told me fortunately I had no pipe leaks within the house. I truly appreciated his honesty. The following week I had to replace my dishwasher but they couldn't install it because I had a frozen 3/8s valve under my kitchen sink. I promptly called Ben, he answered and he was able to come back 2 days later to do the repair. He fixed it in under an hour. The week after that I noticed my front yard hose bib was dripping at a good rate. Again, I called Ben. 2 days later he showed up on time and completed another plumbing job. I used Ben 3 times in 1 month. At this point I was ready to give him a key to my house. Bottom line, Ben is the man! He will always be my 1st call for any future plumbing needs. I had also contacted other plumbers for estimates, but Mikey, from Socal Plumbing really stood out. He was incredibly patient, answered all of my questions, and continued to be responsive when I had additional questions--even when I was getting another estimate from a reconstruction team there. He never made me feel rushed and took the time to explain everything and answer my questions. That level of patience and customer service really stood out to me. When they first came out in August, they replaced our angle stops because the old ones could not be turned off properly. The work was noticeably better than the angle-stop work for the emergency toilet leak done by the plumbers from my insurance company's emergency response. I attached a picture of the angle stops SoCal and the toilet angle stop installed so you can see the difference. Because the abatement, mitigation, and reconstruction and HOA took some time, there was a delay before we were able to have SoCal return to complete the plumbing for our new vanity and toilets upstairs and downstairs. Our upstairs toilet had been leaking, and since Delta no longer makes the same model, we decided to replace both toilets so we wouldn't have to worry about another leak downstairs. SoCal recommended Toto toilets, and after sitting on them, I completely agree--the flush is definitely powerful and are definitely the most comfortable toilets we've had! The vanity was definitely the more challenging part. We went from an open double-sink vanity to a new vanity with two sinks and two faucets, which required reconfiguring the drain, giving each sink its own P-trap, and relocating the existing hot and cold water lines to connect to the sinks. They also needed to open the drywall to access the plumbing. They completed all of this in one day and were even able to accommodate us by coming one day earlier than scheduled. That's SoCal Plumbing! My plumber was Mikey, and he was excellent. Joseph, the manager at SoCal Plumbing, was also exceptional. From communication and scheduling to accommodations and recommendations, they were there every step of the way--even when our project was delayed because of the reconstruction. They are reasonably priced, but what stands out most is their legendary customer service. They communicated well, worked with our complicated reconstruction timeline, and made sure the plumbing was done properly. I would absolutely recommend SoCal Plumbing to anyone who needs a plumber.
