Prior to my visit to IPM, I had never been to a chiropractor and I was skeptical that stretching, getting adjusted, and laying down on a massage table would address some of my issues. I couldn't have been more wrong. I imagine that this could vary on a case-by-case basis - I noticed improvements after my third visit (I was visiting twice a week for 4 weeks). On top of the weekly visits, Dr. Woelfel gave me some exercises to do at home to address some of my concerns. Woelfel is professional, easy to talk to, and it's apparent he knows what he is doing. Updated as of 11/7/17 I've continued to see Dr. Woelfel for the past several years. They've since moved offices, but what I love is the personal care that I receive each time I visit and his continued education to provide any new advancement in new technology that could help with pain management. I had a wonderful pregnancy and I attribute it in part to my continued maintenance that I receive from Dr. Woelfel. Additionally, my now mother in law who is in chronic pain for the i past 2 years, is finally seeing Dr. Woelfel. After his review of her medical history, he's proposed a plan to determine to the root cause and how to treat it. Part of it might include new stem cell injections. My mother in law's previous team of doctors could only recommend steroid injection (which don't last) and surgery (much to invasive for an old lady). Previous chiropractors did not offer this new treatment either. Even on the first visit, both my mother in law and her caregiver were impressed with the level of expertise, professionalism and mostly how he showed them how to do the home exercises WITH an explanation of why and what it affected. We will see how the stem cell therapy works on her. The important thing is that Dr. Woelfel keeps up with new technology and is able to offer these new options. His clinic is truely a pain management clinic that will seek out the root cause and determine best way to manage. read more

I'd give them 3.5 if I could. Somewhere between OK and a FAN. Great treatement - Dr Woelfel is very good at what he does. Just his administration is too mercenary with rates/prices. I walked in for a $49 consultation and walked out with a $105 bill. It was worth it, but I'd appreciate the heads up first. I was being upgraded without my concent - not cool. I prefer not to be blind sided. I called a few days later to re-schedule an appointment, and they told me it's $35 fee. I was shocked. When I explained I genuinely couldn't make the appt due to work, the office admin informed me it's in the written policy in the office. Kinda harsh I thought. I haven't gone back since. I am looking for another Chiro whose people skills will match their treatement skills. read more

I came here for B12 shots. if you keep coming here it is likely that they will offer you deals to continue what you are doing or to get something else. it gets pretty busy especially on mondays. call ahead to schedule your appointments. The staff here are amazing, so welcoming and amiable. the physician is also very helpful and nice. they have many services that someone can benefit from. there have been a couple of times where i had made an appointment and they are so busy that still have to wait but that rarely happens. overall good experience. read more

I really thought this was going to be my go to spot for physical therapy. My appointment was at 10:00 AM and I walked in about 10:02. Three other patients walked in after me. One man, John, came in after I did for a B 12 shot. He was asked to sign in after about five minutes. The ladies in the front told him it was 1007. Veronica called me in about 10:30 and informed me that I was in at 10:10 and she gave my appt to someone else probably Allison who walked in after John and was called into a room before me. I am truly very disappointed in this facility. I will not be coming back regardless to the package I had paid for. Thank you for nothing IPM South Bay. 4/4/2016 I received a message inviting me and family to an Open House on a Saturday later on this month. Unfortunately, this invitation will not make up for the inconsideration and disrespect I feel I was treated with. 4/6/2016 I emailed the head administrator explaining my experience and observations about the same time as my first review. Dr Woelfel replied yesterday, letting me know that additional training has been added to their schedule so what happened to me doesn't happen to anyone else. He is still trying to find out the "truth" as to what happened. ORIGINAL REVIEW 1/16/12: I found Dr. Woelfel after I was read ended in a car accident and needed treatment. I have seen two other chiropractors in my life, and Dr. Woelfel is by far the best. He is the only chiro who took x-rays and found that I have an inverted neck, which has been the cause of many back problems and much pain for me. He uses a holistic approach to treatment, instead of the other chiro I had who just wanted to put me on pain medication. It seems that by using weights, I will be able to change the inversion in my neck. UPDATED 3/19/13 After my initial review, I had to stop seeing Dr. Woelfel for a few months due to issues with my health insurance. I picked up again in August 2012 and am completely satisfied with the treatment and progress I have made since meeting Dr. Woelfel. As I mentioned, I began seeing Dr. Woelfel because I was rear ended, resulting in me having so much neck pain that I could barely look left. I am happy to report that "I CAN NOW LOOK LEFT!" And none of my progress ever required medication! It is extremely important to me actually fix the root problem and not use pain medication as a band-aid. Through regular adjustments, sarapin injections, and at home physical therapy kits (head weights, molding blocks, posture pump), I have significantly decreased the pain in my neck. Through sarapin injections, adjustments, using the foam roller at home on my glutes and lower back, and through regular massage at the office, I have been able to significantly reduce the sciatic pain that I have felt for over a decade. I have also visited the dietician at Woelfel Superior Healthcare, and through the ALCAT test and her help, I was able to identify foods that had been aggravating my stomach. My overall health has significantly improved since finding Dr. Woelfel. I will continue seeing him for "maintenance" because I feel that he has helped me so significantly. read more

Me and girlfriend used groupon and got back massages. It was my first time getting a real back massage so I can't say much more, but I would go back if they have another good deal. Almost three years ago I came to Dr. Woelfel with shoulder & back pain I've been suffering with off & on all my life. Dr. Woelfel took X-rays, conducted screening, and examination and quickly determined what my problems were. We started an aggressive program to correct my anomalies and in less than two months, my pain was relieved. I continue on a monthly maintenance schedule of both chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy with the in-house massage therapist. Both Dr. Woelfel and massage therapist Lynn Maeyama work with me to maintain my physical wellness even as I push the limits through my favorite sport (outrigger canoeing). I learn how to recognize how my body reacts to physical exertion, how to prevent injury, and how to lessen the affects of physical activity post work-out. Now, with the understanding of how important spinal wellness affects your whole body, I will always make chiropractic maintenance a priority in my life. The first thing the receptionist asked me was this a Groupon? I answered yes, immediately she said no we are full that day. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Two weeks ago I woke up with mild pain on the right side of my tailbone. Apparently, I'm a violent sleeper. Throughout the day that pain went from a minor nuisance to full blown agony. Every step was a struggle. If I had to pick something up off the ground, stand or sit, it took all my effort to do so. I got squeezed in at the end of their day. I know they told me it was no inconvenience but I work in dentistry and I know what a pain it can be to squeeze someone in at the end of the day. I felt terrible about it but everyone reassured me that they did not mind doing so. Dr. K is a miracle worker. His chief concern was my comfort level. He took his time with me and listened to all of my complaints. After my initial exam and a very gentle adjustment I was put on muscle stimulation and given an ice pack to ease the pain. Everyone was so kind and I never once felt rushed. After my second appointment and adjustment I could walk without a limp. I was actually able to keep up with my Gramps while grocery shopping that afternoon (seriously, no one wants to be out paced by a 96 year old). One week after my first appointment I was completely back to normal. I cannot praise this place enough.
