Best coffee in Cedar Park hands down. Excellent beans. I love all their signature drinks, especially the current holiday menu which is chefs kiss so good. Most drinks have custom house made syrups. The Salty Bear is and Buttery Cinnamon Roll are two faves on the main menu to try. They also have food... from different toasts, to baked goods, snacks, and Sammie's. Bright lit shop with a fun looking interior, it's definitely crowded in the mornings. They got a few tables outside too, but they get the drinks out in a timely manner. One of the places in the new strip mall - I've been to their old trailer before and they're now able to expand their offerings with the physical space. Cedar Park area needs more coffee shops in general, so I'm glad Instill is here. Their claim to fame is a lot of organic and interesting additions to their coffee (ghee, mushrooms, etc). That said, if you want a regular cup of joe, its got you covered. I tried the Over My Dad Body, which is a nitro cold brew with caramel and chocolate and while that sounds really sweet, it really wasn't that sweet. The coffee is strong but I do wish it had more nitro fizz - it really came across more as just a cold brew than as nitro. Also, they don't tend to top off their cups, which is interesting, but oh well. read more

Very cute on the inside love the boho rattan vibes. Also adore the festive seasonal drinks (candy cane latte?! cookie butter latte!) Their cortado isn't that amazing. I've had better but it is a fun vibe and lattes are decent. workers are nice. I had the seasonal winter toast with cream cheese, plums, pomegranate and honey! It was so good. They have a kimchi avocado toast that's a regular item on their menu. I haven't had a chance to try that one yet though There are some regulars, i like people watching here. My friend and I stopped in here after grabbing bagels at nervous Charlie's and we both enjoyed our coffee. They have an interesting menu here where they do some of their drinks with "healthy" add ins like ghee and some sort of coconut oil that is supposedly going to speed up your metabolism. As a biochem major I don't really believe in the validity of this but regardless, my coffee tasted pretty good and that's all that really matters. The staff and location were also nice. read more

The hidden gem of coffee in Cedar Park. Owners must be health advocates because their menu represents that....not to mention their selection of beans to brew amazing coffee. The baristas are amazing although some newbies have some learning but they will catch on. My husband and I came here for the first time to get some work done and we immediately loved the atmosphere and friendly greetings. The employees are so nice! Once they found out it was our first time coming here, they explained the menu in detail and what made their shop different from others. Went on a weekday afternoon to Instill Coffee. Their brand new brick and mortar shop within a new shopping center in Cedar Park. Plenty of parking at the time, but I can see as other shops open parking may become tight. They also have a food truck location in Leander that will remain open. Your typical coffee menu with additional milk and added alternatives. When I went, the owner did give a spiel on organic ingredients and such but I honestly can't remember enough to write about it. They had different types of toast options that I definitely will go back to try. Plenty of seating options within the shop and the cutest aesthetic. The service was quick, and the cashier was friendly upon taking my order. read more

This cafe is wonderful, and I've been a patron for a couple of years now, frequenting the truck they used to park by Bagdad and Crystal Falls. The owner and all of the baristas are always welcoming, and never too busy to ask how things are going. My favorite drink is the Lion, and I am truly grateful for them turning me on to coffee with adaptogenic mushrooms for a boost of mental clarity . The various toasts and breakfast tacos are delicious, and don't miss the blueberry muffins. I hope they can get the truck back out, but am happy to make the extra drive to their storefront. read more

Instill coffee offers a variety of fun and delicious lattes, matcha, and baked goods. I have yet to be disappointed as every drink I have ordered has been amazing. I love that the syrups are made in house as it truly makes a difference in the taste and quality of a drink. I love that there are GF options as well! The prices are a little higher than some coffee shops around town, but the quality is worth it. They are supportive of educators and are offering free coffee for the whole first week of school! Score for me. I've never walked in and not see this place full. It's a good space to work and/or have a coffee date. The first couple times I have gone, the baristas weren't as friendly, but have gotten better with time. Kindness and genuine service goes a long way. The coffee here is SO good and love the different options. We even went a few times when it was still a coffee truck. I was so excited to try them out but haven't been back in almost a year due to rude customer service. No one greeted us when we walked in or even smiled back. While we were deciding what to order the girl treated us as an inconvenience even with no one else in line. My husband and I both wanted to add collagen and the girl was so rude about it thinking it was weird that he wanted collagen too? Off putting vibe. I needed a place to work for an hour between appointments, and found Instill. I decided against another shop in the area because it's a bit dark for me to work from, but Instill has lots of the light, bright energy I enjoy when I need to focus. Everything is organic, with delicious combinations like ghee, vanilla and cinnamon in the Buttery Cinnamon Roll latte, and others with mushroomy additives. Delicious and makes me calmly focused, rather than jittery. The coffee cake is light and moist too. But the baristas! I've now been here a few times and they've been really friendly, with helpful recommendations based on my preferences. I can tell they enjoy working here, which always impacts the vibe of a shop. Cherry on top, I witnessed a customer (who was having a bad day?) get pretty intense and condescending with a couple of the baristas, but they all stayed polite and helpful, attempting to de-escalate the situation. After the customer left, they didn't say bad-mouth her (though it would have been understandable, as the customer had caused a few of our jaws to drop, the way she was talking). Everything we tried here was bad. 1. Breakfast Taco was soggy. It's not freshly made and is just lying in a foil wrapped warmer for many hours. 2. Brewed coffee - it was burnt and bitter. The coffee was served in a cup which has drippings and stains on all the sides. 3. Cappuccino - Very badly made. 4. Collagen Matcha Latte - the drink is priced at $5.75 which is ok if it's a good quality matcha. Now they add a 1$ if you want it with oat milk. We asked for lite ice as we don't want it super cold. The lady asked for $50c extra to reduce ice which and to add milk to compensate that. We paid. Isn't it ridiculous? The ambiance is good. Everything else including coffee is bad. read more

Probably one of the most unwelcoming coffee spots I've been to. Stopped in because we had heard great things about the coffee. Four people behind the counter, literally just stared at us, didn't say a word. The only thing the cashier said to us the entire time was what size, name on the order, and our total. After making the order they called the name out, and we left without a single other word. Just very odd for any place that serves the public or is in any way in the hospitality business. Coffee was ok, not bad, not great. Lots of seating, but cushions on the chairs looked dirty so we didn't sit. Baristas seemed more interested in making drinks for themselves and talking to eat other than waiting on customers. Felt like we interrupted their morning. I'm always up for trying out a new coffee joint in CP, so it was with jubilation that Instill finally opened up. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly barista asking me if this was my first time here. She gave me the rundown of their coffees and how they prefer to make as many ingredients as possible in-house, including sweeteners. Impress! The coffee is fresh and a good medium roast that is easy to drink straight black. But it was one of those days where I needed extra caffeine so I ordered the Mexican Mocha. Dayum! One sip had me thinking I was south of the border in a colonial village sitting outside sipping on fresh ingredients. The mocha was chocolately, but it was the cinnamon, nutmeg, and a dash of cayenne pepper that really gives this drink a kick. They are offering winter style drinks this month. There are plenty of tables as well as sitting areas with chairs, a couch, and an elevated sitting area with cushions for comfort. My time here saw quite a few folks working remotely and it's not a bad place to get some coffee but take care of some work. read more

Instill Coffee - The coffee is not good. We got cappucino and brewed, both failed. The cappuccino has foam but there was no flavor. The brewed coffee of the day (medium to dark) is bitter and not good at all. The croissant is burnt from heating bc it is frozen. I ordered one of the fancy drinks just to make sure I'm giving the right review. They charge for 1) using oat milk instead of whole milk and 2) top up to fill up the cup when you order with less ice. read more

Came to see the new coffee place in town and heard there are unique drinks here. The place is very inviting albeit the time I went it was so crowded with people congregating in the middle so it was hard to go up and down to get your order (especially cause they are brought out one by one). I believe they were having their ribbon cutting so that is why it was super crowded. I love matcha so I tried the blue steel matcha. At $6 I'd want good matcha flavor and it was very watery and tasted diluted. Highly recommend letting the customer know that it is watery since the gentleman did say that order is watery himself after I asked about it. He did help me out and put more matcha in my drink. I probably won't get this drink again and would stick to the transitional ones. The berry ricotta toast is delicious. Ambiance is beautiful and inviting. This is hands down the best looking coffee shop in Cedar Park. The coffee was great, both the standard brew and the more specialty items like the Sugar Bear Latte. The muffin was surprisingly light while the popular avocado toast was very well flavored. Decor was hip and fresh too. The only reason I docked a star is that this place is pricey AF especially for food. The avocado toast was ~$10 for a portion that's too small even by the standards of fancy brunch places downtown. I would probably go for coffee here but not for food, unless they redo their pricing. read more

I used to be a barista at an artisanal coffee shop for years, so I know how coffee is supposed to be made. They made me a cappuccino with foam, not froth, and they made it so hot that it wasn't drinkable (not how you make the drink). On top of that, the shot wasn't dialed in properly - it pulled way too bitter. All this is fine, not every drink is going to be perfect every time, but it had to be one of the worst cappuccinos I've ever had. I rarely do this, but I had to ask for a new drink. They refused to make it because they're a "small business" and their "manager won't let them remake drinks." I feel like better training is needed for that, it's wrong to just make a bad drink and not fix it. I guess that's one way to make sure we never come back?? At least they gave me vanilla syrup to mask the awful shot... not worth your time or money. Update: went to Red Horn down the street and they made the PERFECT cappuccino!
