Bit of a different review from everyone else for Olympus Board Shop: this is for their Onewheel…read morerental and sales! I came across them while looking for a local place to rent a Onewheel, the electric skateboards made by Future Motion. They're an authorized dealer; perfect, I'd rather buy local. I went to their website, and turns out they also rent! $70/day if less than 4 days, $60 for 5+ days. I wanted to try out a Onewheel before dropping $1k, so I texted and set a day to come by. They also require a 30min tutorial if you have no experience: perfect, I have zero experience and it'll be helpful to learn from a human. Tyler helped me do a few laps in the parking lot, let me borrow a helmet, and I went home to practice more. By the end of the rental period, I knew I wanted one of my own. After some back and forth, we got my order figured out and submitted. They applied the money I spent on the rental towards the purchase of a new board, I put down a deposit, and the wait began. Something to note: the owner, Jeremy, let me borrow a shop board until mine arrived. Due to some mix-ups with the delivery address, I ended up holding onto the shop board for weeks. I really appreciated having the extra time with the loaner and all the additional practice hours I got in. By the time my board arrived, I'd gotten a total of 18 miles in. For anyone else in my shoes - zero experience, nervous about spending so much, not sure if Onewheel is for you - this is the place to start. Rent first, learn on a loaner, buy when you're ready.

A bolt had gotten loose and fallen out while I was boarding last weekend. They took a look at the joint, grabbed another binding, took out the matching bolt and captured nut, and spent 10 min rebuilding the joint, and checking all the other fasteners in the binding. They double checked the whole thing by comparing it to my matching binding from the other side and handed them back to me. I said to them "awesome, what do I owe you?", and they smiled and just said "you're good". Can't speak highly enough about Jeremy and the guys at Olympus. They'll always be my shop.

The representatives are unhelpful, provide no meaningful assistance, and repeatedly close support tickets without taking any action. For a company of this size, this level of service is completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend avoiding buying anything from them altogether; the stress of dealing with their customer service simply isn't worth it.

On May 28, 2022, I paid a $300 refundable deposit for patches that BP ordered for us with a 3rd…read moreparty company. After a year of dealing with mess-ups on every single order, & transitioning to another BJJ team, we decided to part ways with this company. I was told by a rep, George, that my $300 was non-refundable & I would have to pay an additional $125 to receive all of the patches they had of mine. According to my calculations, I should have 45 patches in stock, but George is telling me that I have over 75. I was told by our reps, Gomes & Chris, that they order patches in sets of 50. I even have a text from February of me asking Chris to order 50 more sets. When trying to explain this to George, he basically told me I was lying, & I would need to send him proof of these emails. He said he has always ordered 60 patches at a time for his customers & the 15 extra big patches must have been ordered by their mistake. I have multiple pictures, emails, & texts to Gomes and Chris sharing all of the mess-ups on our orders. As a customer that pays $50 a month for a membership, you would think they would get at least one of my orders correct in the year & a half we were with them, but that never happened! I tried canceling with them back in February, but after speaking with our rep, Chris, we decided to give them one last chance. Within a week, they had already messed up on our order & didn't send us 5 patch sets. I can't tell you how many times our customers would say, "If I had this many problems with a company, I would be looking for a new one."... It was absolutely humiliating! I have been going back and forth with their manager, Sam Aschidamini, since 8/2/23 and have been unable to come to a resolution with him & now he will not reply to any of my emails. I just want my $300 or the patches that belong to me. I refuse to pay this company any more money. They received $700 from me just in membership fees alone and all I received in return is problems on all of my orders.
