(1/2) This is going to be a super long review so bear with me, I just don't want anyone else to have the same terrible experience as I did. On January 19th, I purchased a refurbished iPhone from Instaphix. I was told by the employee Andrew that they only accepted cash as payment because "people had been paying with cards and then disputing the charge," which I thought was weird but the place has good reviews so I just said ok and paid them in cash. The phone worked fine for 3 days and then the screen froze and would not let me access anything. The home/lock buttons worked, but the screen would not work even after trying several soft data resets and turning the phone off and on again. I contacted the store and was told it was probably just the screen and to bring it in so they could replace it. I brought my phone in the next day and they changed my screen. This time my phone only worked for two days before freezing again, so I contacted the store and was told the same thing, to come have the screen changed. I brought my phone in, they changed the screen and told me if it freezes again they would have to order a part for my phone. This time my phone froze again before I even left Melbourne. I called the next day and told them how the screen had already frozen again and was told by Andrew that they would place the order for the part they needed that day, and that it would only take 5 days to get to the shop. They offered me a loaner phone, but thinking it wouldn't take long to have my phone fixed I declined. After 1 week, I still hadn't heard anything from the store so I called them asking if the part had come in and they said not yet, but it should be there within the next day or two. 2 weeks passed since they had told me it would be 5 days and I finally got a call saying the part had come in, so I drove there and dropped my phone off. I never heard from them, so the next day I called and was told that the owner (who I thought was Andrew the whole time) wanted to take the phone completely apart because the part did not work when they put it in my phone. Skip ahead to several days later, I still am never called with any updates and I'm really frustrated at this point because every time I call they have no new answers for me. Finally I get a call from Andrew saying he ordered me a completely new iPhone of the same type because they couldn't get the one I bought to work. After two weeks of me having to call them to find out what was going on and when my phone would be there, they never had any answers and when they did they weren't accurate. I was told several times "it says your phone will be here on this day" and every time I would drive there or call on said day there was always another excuse of why it wasn't there. Finally after over a month of dealing with this crap, I just buy a new phone at AT&T because I needed a phone to find a job and being without a phone for over a month and an unforseeable time after that is just outrageous. I bought myself a phone and informed the employees that I would be coming in for a refund sometime because I was done waiting for a phone that never seemed to arrive. After this, Andrew texted me from the work phone telling me what day to come in for my refund. He changed the day/time for me to come get my refund SIX DIFFERENT TIMES within 2 weeks, every time either changing the day again or I would drive all the way there just for the store to be closed at a weird hour. At this point I just stopped texting/calling anyone at the store because it was obvious I was being avoided when all I was asking for was my refund, and I had to resort to dropping in at different times of the day to try and catch Andrew when he was actually there (like I said I thought he was the owner). I kept being told by Scott that "the owner" had to be in the store to do my refund, and when my boyfriend went in and spoke with Scott he was told "Oh, I thought she paid with card, that's why I said the owner had to be here" but apparently there wasn't enough cash in store to refund me at that time (even though I was explicitly told they did not accept card as payment). (2/2) A few days later I come to the shop and Andrew is there. He writes a check for my refund, so I am instantly skeptical about it. It was a little after 5, so I rushed to the Chase bank in Cocoa Village so I could cash the check that night because I had a feeling it wasn't going to go through if I waited too long. I tried to have the check cashed and was told by the teller that they couldn't cash the check and she stamped the back of it. I asked her if their was a specific reason why they couldn't and all she could tell me was "you will have to talk to the person who wrote the check to resolve the issue." At this point I am absolutely fed up. I'm a very laid back person and I hate confrontation, but all of these hoops and hassles I had been going through for two months now were just absolutely ridiculous. The next day shortly after they opened, my uncle and I go to the shop and Andrew is there conversing with another man. As soon as he sees us we tell him that his check bounced and we need an explanation. He starts moving the laptop, paperwork, etc of the man he was talking to previously into the back room and is trying to get him to go in the back while he talks to us. He then goes to the back to look on the computer and when he comes back to the counter he tells us that the check is "pending" and that if we come back later that day his other employee Scott will write us a new check or give us cash, to which my uncle basically says we aren't coming back later, and if he forces us to we will just call the police because we have family in law enforcement and obviously being reasonable for two months is getting us nowhere. At the mention of police, the man in the back pokes his head out and asks us if there's a problem and we tell him yes, I'm just trying to get my refund for a phone that worked maybe 5 days total in the time I had it. The man introduces himself as the owner (I can't remember his name though), and asks us what the situation is. My uncle and I walk the owner through the entire ordeal I had to go through for everything and after explaining the whole story, the owner literally just reaches into his wallet and counts out how much my refund is in cash and gives it to me. The owner shook our hands and told us he didn't want us to leave on a bad note, he was a reasonable man and I'm glad we got to deal with him in the end instead of Andrew. All in all, my experience which should have taken about 2 weeks at the most, took 2 entire months from start to finish and I have never had such a terrible experience at any business in my life. The customer service was next to none as I was only called TWO TIMES in 2 months with any updates for what was going on, all other calls and trips to the store were made by me. It was the biggest waste of gas and time I have ever had to deal with and I sincerely hope nobody ever has the same experience I did. read more

My friend brought her iPhone here to have fixed. The phone simply had a cracked screen. Upon getting it back, her phone was completely unresponsive and even more broken than it was before. She took it to a local Sprint repair shop and the tech there opened the phone and immediately saw that the phone was missing parts on the inside as InstaPhix took them out and didn't replace them. She then tried multiple times to contact the owner and was told over and over that the owner was out of town, but the owner is in the back every day. Upon doing some digging, we both found out that the business was recently sold and that the new owner is Tom Biddix and Cody Pearson. Tom is the same one who frauded the government for millions of dollars and is also the one who had a car lot in MElbourne selling cars without titles and is also the one who owned Austin's Chophouse. He has been on the news and in the national media multiple times for fraud. Stay very clear. She finally got a refund after posting on facebook who the real owner was. read more

This company Instaphix (Boost Mobile Franchisee) hires Store Managers at a $400.00 weekly salary and then works them six days a week @ 56 hours! When there is no coverage the Store Manager is then told by Owner Thomas Biddix and / or District Manager Scott Goldberg "to suck it up" and is forced to work the 7th day (Sunday, 12pm to 5pm) of which equals a 61 hour work week! The Store Managers end up working far below the minimum wage of $8.05.... Note: 56 hours divided by $400.00 equals $7.14 61 hours divided by $400.00 equals $6.55 Instaphix (Boost Mobile) also terminates Store Managers when they complain just before they have enough time to file for unemployment! All of the above and yet Instaphix (Boost Mobile) hires part time help at $10.00 per hour for 25 to 30 hours per week! I have contacted an attorney for assistance in back wages and have also contacted Boost Mobile Inc. read more

My first time at InstaPhix today was absolutely perfect. The owner, Andrew, keeps a very clean and professional work space. He was very informative and straight forward with pricing and options. He fixed my phone in about 15 minutes after completely shattering my screen this morning. The customer service is perfect and he even has a sweet chihuahua (that was featured in the paper with him) that is very friendly to hang out with while you wait! I am definitely coming back to this location if I have any electronic issues with any device and I advise everyone to check it out! You won't be disappointed! read more

InstaPhix is amazing! I brought in my damaged phone not sure it could be repaired. Not only was Andrew able to fix it, he did it so quickly I couldn't even enjoy the store's lounge with tvs and complimentary beverages! They also have a great selection of accessories for your devices and Andrew was extremely knowledgable and directed me right to the best screen protector for my phone. I have been to several other repair places in the past, but none of them have compared to the level of service that InstaPhix offers! I was referred to Andrew at Instaphix by a representative of my cell phone carrier. Andrew said he would address the problem and twenty minutes later, he came and got me from next door where I had a libation while Andrew worked the problem! Painless to say the least! I left but returned an hour later due to continued issues and Andrew addressed it immediately by trying several fixes. He identified the problem, explained it to me and everything works fine now. Went in yesterday to get my phone fixed. Andrew (manager) was so welcoming and nice taking my phone and giving me a loaner phone while He had to wait a few hours until UPS delivered the screens. Great business and even told me what the other IPhone repair people had done wrong with my phone. Even gave me a free tempered glass screen protector. Definitely will go back if needed. read more

Screen fixed in just 15 minutes and a beautiful new case for super reasonable prices! Great price, great service, and I would've gladly hung out longer to play with the adorable store mascot, little chihuahua Abby. Brought in three iPhones this morning with cracked screens. Within an hour all three were back to normal with new screens and the owner even gave me three free glass protectors as well. Will be bringing in all of our business and personal devices here from now on. Oh and ask to see the owner's puppy...if she doesn't melt your heart I don't know what will. read more

Andrew at Instaphix is a miracle worker! I'd broken the screen on my iPad mini and he replaced it so quickly! Then I left it in the hot car and thought I'd ruined it!
