I love this place!!! The negative reviews seem to be from people who don't want to receive consistent care. An adjustment here and there will feel good but won't make significant long term change, it's unreasonable to expect otherwise. I have been to numerous chiropractors throughout my life but never any I felt good enough about to go back to consistently... I have been seeing Dr Gina weekly for over a year and feel AMAZING! Yes, it is a commitment but I have zero back or hip pain like I used to on a regular basis. The weekly adjustments feel great but just as importantly my overall health has improved from seeing Dr. Gina. There are other chiropractors to see if you're just looking for a get in, get out- quick pop. Dr. Gina takes her time and really cares about improving the quality of life of her patients. After getting my back adjusted for the third time I went to my doctor due to extreme discomfort. Not only did these sessions do nothing to help with my autism (like they promised) despite doing my essential oil regime religiously, but they also dislocated my rib last week and when I called to make an appointment for them to put my rib back into place they told me that they would no longer see me as a client as my bones are to dense for them to work on effectively due to me being black. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Gina for almost two years now. I was walking through a lot of grief, not sleeping well, and not in control of my emotions. Desk jobs kill you slowly. No kidding. After several years of desk jobbery seated in a cheap office chair, my back had become increasingly irksome. Like frequent fatigue, roughly once-a-month jags of angry back, and occasional stress-induced periods of near-crippling tightness. After a particularly bad stretch that both required and demonstrated the problems inherent with medicinal treatment, I decided to try the a more long-term preventative route by going with chiro. For the record, I was fairly skeptical about the idea at first. Fortunately, my friend knew one she trusted, and so I began seeing Dr. Caserma last year. I was quickly on-board with her overall approach toward health, encouraging diet, exercise, and education as parts of treatment. Warning: you will learn something. She and her staff are knowledgeable and absolutely beyond nice; this is small-business customer service at its best. I never viewed chiro a quick fix, and knew it could take awhile to see tangible results. For me, that was about two to three months of regular visits. But now, looking back on the time, I haven't had any serious pain or muscle problems in well over a year. I can't guarantee it will work for you, but it certainly did for me. read more

Top notch, amazing care and phenomenal results. We took my 4 wk old son in as he had a bit of a rough entrance to this world, sunny side up and had since been increasingly cranky, gassy, in pain, etc. He was difficult to calm and not sleeping great. He slept 5 hours after his first adjustment! Since then he has gotten better and better by day. He's only had 3 visits so far and is like a totally different baby. Family members have asked what we are doing that he's so different! Dr Caserma took the time to explain everything to me and has even given my son some explanation and good communication about what she is doing with him. This place is looking to take your money first before caring for your wellness. I am 33 weeks pregnant and I came to DR Gina to get a few adjustments before I give birth. I went for two appointments and in both she adjusted me just a little bit that I will need to come back that same week. She uses a very aggressive sale method to make sure she is getting you money and you don't slip away. At the second session she came up with a plan that I will need to get 24 treatments if I want to be well to give birth natural. Not only that, she wanted me to sign a contract that I will be committed to this amount of sessions. This has caused me more stress than wellness which is what her services about. I don't feel that I have got the services I paid for and wanted to share this that before you go you will be aware of what you are getting into. I am sad and disappointed that in this field of wellness this is how people are being scammed. read more

I was referred there my a midwife when I was 5 months pregnant because they allegedly specialize in pregnancy. Well, I don't know about pregnancy, but they certainly specialize in sucking money out of you! I was feeling pretty uncomfortable, so I drove all the way to El Cajon. Instead of pain relief, I had to sit and fill out paperwork, sit through a video explaining the benefits of chiropractic care, and then go through some tests before I even met the doctor. Then, I had to sit and listen to a high-pitched girl sell me their treatment - something like 40 or 60 sessions (I forgot the exact number, but it was absolutely ridiculous), for $2500. Oh, and I should bring my baby in for treatment once she's born too... ??? I had to pay for the evaluation that included X-rays even though I couldn't get the X-rays because I was pregnant. But according to them, I could get the X-rays after I gave birth... That would have been useful! Oh, and there were two separate price lists depending if you were paying out of pocket or using insurance (total insurance fraud). So that wasn't all. That first visit I didn't even receive a treatment! I had to go back a few days later to discuss the results of the exams with the doctor and see what type of treatment I needed. At that time, I again had to sit through another stupid video. I declined their "treatment plan," which entailed me having to drive to El Cajon 4 times a week (right, because I don't have to work, and sitting in the car for 25 minutes each way was very healthy for my back). Anyway, I left there feeling totally stupid for having spent money on a dumb evaluation, only to hear a business pitch. In my experience, anyone who tries to convince you that you MUST get their services and has payment plans to help you afford them... business tactics. Not that there is something inherently wrong with that, but its just not what I was looking for. So no, I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I was referred to Dr. Caserma when I was pregnant. I had gotten regular treatments from my former chiropractor, but he was very reticent to do manual adjustments (just used the activator) while I was pregnant, and my back and hip issues had steadily increased. By my 8th month, I was having difficulty walking, sitting, standing, and sleeping. When I came in the first time, after the requisite paperwork and video, Dr. Caserma had no hesitations about manually adjusting me. It was like a Biblical miracle. I paraded up and down the halls of her office exclaiming, "I can walk again!!" Dr. Caserma is a healer by nature; she can often tell my symptoms without me even mentioning anything. Her staff is friendly and professional, and the facilities are open and inviting. The practice offers regular workshops for those interested in natural remedies and healthy parenting. While I highly recommend Dr. Caserma for pregnancy, I would see Dr. Chelf of Ocean Wellness instead if you are seeking CST for your infant, especially if there are posterior tongue-tie related breastfeeding difficulties. I did not see progress with either of my infants after repeated (but short) CST treatments at World of Wellness. read more

I have positive things to say about Dr. Caserma personally, however I felt part of a business scam. My husband was deployed and I was super pregnant and uncomfortable. They did not take my insurance but I was referred there by someone and I was desperate. It was REALLY expensive and I didn't feel like she did everything she could at each visit. She would adjust me a tiny bit, took like 5 minutes, then "okay, see you in 2 days!" .... I never did go back as regularly as they "wanted" me to because it was so damn expensive! I took my 2 year old son there once because we had just gotten home from europe and he was constipated for like 3 days. She adjusted him and he pooped like 3 times the next day! BUT, I wouldn't go back. They had a whole payment plan and some other business ploys that I felt I was being cheated. Bottom line, She would never fully adjust me. It was very clear she didn't want to do too much so I would HAVE to come back and spend more $$$ to get adjusted. read more

My wife started going to Dr. Casserma about a year ago during the end of her pregnancy. She was referred to us by our Doula as a way to avoid taking pain medication for pregnancy pain relief. With Dr. Casserma's help my wife was able to avoid taking pain medication and we are very grateful to her for her help. She is an expert in gentle chiropractic for pregnant moms. Chiropractic is a great way to have overall health, but Dr Casserma also gives you advice on how to live a healthy lifestyle in general. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would highly, highly recommend World of Wellness for anyone who is serious about getting healthy. I have been suffering from intermittent back and neck pain for two years, and have tried chiropractic care, personal training, physical therapy and accupunture. I always feel better for awhile, and then the pains come back. We were very frustrated with this chiropractor. We've had a chiropractor for my daughter all of her little life because her neck was messed up when she was born. When we moved here we thought we'd try dr. caserma. However, whenever she did neck adjustments on my daughter she would be in pain, so much that she wouldn't be able to sleep that night. We thought at first that it was coincidence but then it happened two more times and my daughter normally isn't in pain nor does she have trouble sleeping. I've gone to a chiro off and on all my life. You should sleep better and be relieved of pain through chiropractics. It shouldn't cause pain. We were very upset. If anyone is using her to help with a small child please take note of how the child is feeling after. It troubles me that many of her patients are small and cannot tell you exactly what is going on if there is a problem. read more

Had a very bad experience here with my tiny daughter. Please be careful if you are considering this doctor. We are long time patients of chiropractics and you should not leave an appointment in pain. That's not normal but happened to us more than once. The little ones she works on cannot speak so please monitor them closely if you let her work on them. Adjustments should make them feel better not fussy or hurting the rest of the day... or for us for the next 24 hours. No kidding this office is all about sucking out the money. We gave them a shot anyway because of what they specialize in and found that neck adjustments seem to be a problem for myself and my daughter when given by Dr. Caserma. We both ended up with excruciating pain from neck adjustments and had to go back in to have the misalignment caused by her adjustment corrected. This happened 3 times so that's when we gave up. She also did a cranial adjustment to my skulland jaw one day. I've never asked for one, never had headaches, etc. but ever since, and it's been over 6 months, my jaw which was perfect before annoyingly pops daily. As for the money part, they don't take any insurance, won't do anything for you until you pay about $130 for an exam, Kept telling us not to worry about the cost b/c it would go towards our treatement plan and then much later, finally gave us an estimate for the treatment plan which was between $1800 and $3,000! ('cause I've got that in my back pocket!) And all of that just to get "healthier". I have no serious pain. Just went in for pregnancy and a tight back... Aye yi yi.... read more

I saw Dr. Caserma over about a 12 month period 2 years ago and still have really mixed feelings on World of Wellness. When I started seeing her they were way way out in El Cajon, almost Alpine, but the last time I went they were right on the La Mesa/El Cajon border. I agree with some of the other yelpers that they give you the hard sales pitch and can really suck your money, but I also think Dr. Caserma is very good at some things. She seems to have a real niche in the pregnancy and infant chiropractic area, unfortunately that doesn't really apply to me. I was referred to her by a couple people and my whole family went together to see her. At first I did have some relief and feel better after seeing her - I would say over about a 3 month period. But then I felt like she tried to get me to keep coming to increase her bottom line, which is pretty shady. I did get suckered into the year long plan and got pressured to come for adjustments all the time. Even when I was feeling good she wanted me to come in for an adjustment twice a week, which I have since learned is way to often for the average person to be adjusted. And if I was sick or having headaches she wanted me to come in 3-4 times a week. It just didnt sit right with me - I joked with my dad that I thought she popped me out of alignment on Monday so she could pop me back in on Thursday - because this is what it felt like for me sometimes! I don't care for the way they sell their chiro packages - it feels like a hard sale when they are pitching it to you and I also feel like they sucked a ton of money out of me. It also bothers me that I have seen several of Dr. Caserma's staff members writing 5 star reviews here on yelp. The girls are very nice and I do think that Dr. Caserma is a good chiropractor, I just felt she was a little too money hungry and worried more about getting money then maybe offering the best and most efficient chiropractic care. I no longer see her, no one from my family does, I am now seeing a chiropractor who only adjusts me every 6 weeks at the most - totally different end of the spectrum. read more
