I went to this inspection establishment, to get a state inspection for my vehicle. I was a bit educated in that process, because I already had one vehicle successfully inspected at luxury auto works. The gentleman who was helping me at this business, asked me if he could see my insurance liability page. I had the proof of insurance in my hand, but he said it was not good enough. He wanted to know exactly The details of my insurance coverage. I told him that I had already had a car inspected and that the same insurance proof was adequate, I also told him I do not carry around my insurance policy. He said that the proof of insurance was not adequate at this store. I left. I waited in line for nothing. I'd like to add, I took the inspection from luxury auto Works and the auto insurance proof that this establishment said was not good enough to DMV today. DMV says it's good enough & gave me my registration and new license plate. The person at this establishment feels that he has more power than DMV. This was a total waste of time. Been going to this place yearly but I his year S OME ASShole decided not to give me a 10 min inspection due to not having a lightbulb over my license plate ????? My doesn't have an option SO he told me I needed to find a mechanic to put one on for me Which would probably cause $$ to modify my car!! The Auto zone worker never heard of such thing either I had her to call the express place and he told her same thing about finding a mechanic.I was advise to go somewhere else and I did and I passed and NOONE spoke of a light , told me that if my car doesn't have a place to replace a light it doesn't have to be added????? This place was a lifesaver. I've been attempting to get an inspection this week and with Thanksgiving it really limited the days I could go. I called another place nearby on Wednesday and they were booked up. I went there on Friday morning and was turned away. I called another location and was told their inspector didn't show up to work. Today is 11/30 and my registration expires this month so with today being Saturday I had to get this done. My hairdresser mentioned this spot so I called before I drove over. They were not busy at the time. As soon as I got there, there was a line with four cars ahead of me. The two guys who worked here were very efficient. I was in and out in a decent amount of time and they were courteous. The waiting area has a sign where you can check the waiting times of the vehicle registration renewal office so you can place yourself in line to avoid the crowds. With it being the weekend, I plan on getting this done on Monday. I should have came here first. I will definitely be back. I plan on letting my friends know how efficient this place was if they need a vehicle inspection. read more

Fast and friendly! Though there was a line of cars the wait was not long. Staff is efficient, and replaced my license plate light to pass.

This is supposed to be a 10 minute inspection, but be prepared for it to take much longer than this. Further, you stay in your car for the whole thing and get to test many things yourself (turn signals, wipers, brakes) while they watch. Then you drive through their garage for the emissions, OBC check and gas cap check. There were 3 guys there today and it still took well over 20 minutes to get through. Not going back. read more

Clint, the manager, was present to service my godbrother's car that I brought to inspection for him. Not only was Clint friendly and helpful, he went out of the way to give some priceless advice on how to easily obtain a renewal registration sticker thru HEB so no need to go online and wait for it to come. He also explained that my godbrother's other car would enjoy a huge inspection few discount as it is 25 years old in 2022. The inspection section is well kept and orderly. Tip: Stay in the car in the parking. They will come to guide you on next steps when your turn comes. Felt very safe during my visit during pandemic. I went in for an inspection, they had 1 car in front of me. The guy ask for my insurance I gave it to him , I also ask how long does it take. I was being a little silly asking that question, knowing that I was at a 10 minute inspection place. The guy then says 30 minutes. I thought he was being funny. I laughed and said I will wait. He didn't crack a smile. I thought that was weird. So he came back, few minutes later. Walk towards my 2022 platinum expedition, proceeded to check my windshield wipers. I raised down my window, and he says to Me. You're truck won't pass state inspection do to a tear in my windshield wiper. I said what tear? He pointed out the extra rubber at the end of the windshield wiper. I knew he was full it. I just said okay. At this time the parking lot got full with cars. I think around 4 other cars pulled up from behind me. I told him I will run over there to auto zone right after. He said no, that's the state rule. And he walk off. I was feeling from the energy that he was giving off he didn't want me there or he didn't wanna work. Or maybe he didn't like me for whatever reason. read more

It was quick and easy. It's a very small unit. Kind of looks like a drive thru car wash. There are signs posted on where to park as this location shared a parking lot with many others. There's only one person there who does the computer stuff and the actual inspection. I went in and he told me I didn't park in the right place. He was staring at the cameras surrounding the area. And I told him I followed the signs. But apparently I followed them incorrectly? I told him I just followed the signs. My advice is pay close attention to the signs. There are a lot of cars parked and I think they are for the Christian Brothers right next door. So navigating where exactly to park might be hard for some. All he wants is your insurance if you're from Texas. It's all he'll ask for. All he'll check. And then your keys to drive your car. And that's it. It probably took about 10 minutes. He came in asked for $18.50 and I was out. Quick and easy. read more

Went to this place 03/26/22. The guy there failed my inspection because he said the tint on my window was at a 21 and Texas guidelines say it should be 25. Drove over to there other location had my car inspected and it passed. the guy at the second location never said anything about my tint nor did he even check it with his meter. read more

Do not leave absolutely anything in your vehicle even if it's in the trunk or glove compartment not even sanitizers or disposable gloves and especially anything of value or it will be stolen. I had approximately 50-100 individual packs of sanitizers and other small items in my trunk. I went for an inspection, there was no need to go into my trunk. This place is awesome. I had a dealer tell me there computer wasn't able to communicate with my 2004 pickup after I'd waited more than an hour. I Yelped this place and even w/ two people ahead of me I was in and out in 20 mins. for under $19. The inspector was very friendly, too. One tip, the waiting area is directly attached to the open bay w/ just a space heater or fan so dress for the weather...but its totally worth it. read more

I pulled up today and waited 50 minutes for an inspection. Not super worried about that, as I had been running around all day getting tires replaced etc. I can accept waiting in line. However, it's the service that's an issue. From the moment it was my turn, the gentleman approached my car swearing. "F....!" and waving at me. I was so confused as to what I had done wrong. I followed all his instructions, but he was super perturbed about the heat and and was generally surly. He kept swearing at me the entire time. It was hot, and I actually offered him a bottle of water from the case I keep in the car, in case that was the issue. Thank you for the inspection, but I'm not really sure why I drove out of there feeling so steamrolled. I sure do feel for the guy, because he may have been having a bad day, but the entire experience was confusing and that's not really what I was expecting from a roll thru inspection station. read more

Plus no "hey, I've got some better windshield wipers you can buy from us"...just efficiently took care of my state-required annual business! For me to take time out of my day to write a review for a $18.50 purchase would tell you how horrible it was. These are not working conditions for a human. These poor men are working (really hard, I might add) in the sweltering summer heat with one measly little fan. Just waiting for my car, I felt awful. It had to be more than 100 degrees in the shop. I stayed outside just so I wouldn't pass out. There's no breeze at all. Get these workers more fans and a dang swamp cooler!! This was quite the experience. I have had several of my vehicles inspected here in the past but this was the first time I had my 1995 Chevy pickup inspected here. It was very interesting from the beginning. The one guy didn't want to inspect it at all, using some choice words and telling me it would likely fail anyhow but then passed it off to a younger guy, which did great. But then some other guy comes in and is yelling at this younger guy, dropping some F bombs along the way. The young guy was the only one with any kind of customer service skills. Crazy. The reason for 3 stars is that I got the inspection and they are pretty quick. I suppose I'll be back if not for the theatrics. read more
