I've passed by various Insomnia Cookies locations plenty of times, usually noticing a crowd no matter the hour. I happened to be nearby and decided to finally give it a try. This particular spot was tiny... barely enough space for two customers inside at a time. The line was out the door, which I took as a good sign, but once I got inside, the energy felt pretty dull. The person who helped me didn't say a single word throughout the transaction. No greeting, no smile--just very flat and transactional. Honestly, it felt kind of sad--like he really didn't want to be there. I ordered the s'mores deluxe cookie, which was pretty good! Warm, gooey, and hit the spot. Prices were reasonable for a specialty cookie. One nice perk: their hours are super late--open well into the early morning, basically bar-close time (some nights like 3:00am), which is great if you're craving cookies after a night out. Overall, the cookie itself was solid, but the customer experience definitely left something to be desired. Not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, but I'm glad I tried it. Note, join the rewards program.
Went here on a late night adventure. I've always heard good things about insomnia cookies and that they are open pretty late which is cool but this is my first time actually checking it out. We were out near NE mpls and this dinky town location happen to be the closest. Parking on campus is metered I believe until midnight. We were able to find decent spots as it was late. The storefront is super tiny fits maybe 5-8 customers at a time. We ended up waiting outside until the people before us finished ordering. I got 2 cookies - chocolate chip & a confetti cookie. They were just okay for the price they were. I probably wouldn't go out my way to go back. My friend got a brookie w/ ice cream. They were out of every flavor of ice cream except 2 when we went. I'm glad I got to try it but overall feeling "eh" about it.
I tried insomnia for the first time because I've seen it on tiktok, I got the salted caramel and dreamweaver ice cream and they were good, cookie was warm and gooey, ice cream was fine. Overall I think it was just solid but nothing that special, people were saying this was way better than crumbl cookies but I think they're in the same level. Insomnia definitely taste more homemade though.

Tried the peanut butter deluxe cookie with mint ice cream. I liked that the cookie was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The cookie itself was a little greasy. The ice cream was great and had a lot of mint flavor. Prices are pretty average. It wasn't on the menu, but you can ask for one scoop of ice cream instead of two.

Open late night, major plus! It's located in dinkytown, so not the easiest to find parking for but totally worth the walk. The cookies themselves are delicious, big and not skimpy. I've always gotten my cookies HOT, so this would go great with some cold milk. Only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the cookies are so sweet they've made my head hurt as I can't tolerate things that are too sweet. Definitely have water or milk with you when you decide to eat one. They are delicious.
Redefine your cookie experience! If you're craving a (or many) warm, gooey, delicious cookie, this is 100% the place to go! Even if you're not craving one, you still need to go! I was absolutely and completely pacified after 1 bite. The smell of freshly made cookies puts my mouth on water fountain mode and I can't resist! There's so many options, I ended up ordering the peanut butter cup, s'mores, chocolate chunk, and salted caramel. All of which are winners! Their ice cream is delicious too. The butter pecan is so smooth and creamy! The only reason they get 4 stars is because delivery times could have been communicated better. I ordered for them to be delivered about 45 minutes after ordering but after 30 minutes I get a text saying it's going to be another 45 minutes. I did reach out to inquire and received a coupon for 3 free cookies with a min purchase. I appreciate the prompt response and remedy! Will be ordering from them again tomorrow!!
Popped in here after a show at The Varsity. The late night sweets craving was hitting hard. They were pushing the red velvet cookie and won me over. I decided to grab one of those--and buy a few for later: two chocolate chunk, and a double chocolate. The warm cookies were just the thing to end the night. They weren't overly sweet and were fall apart warm and gooey. I can see why this place is so popular. I don't get to Dinkytown very often, but I would definitely stop by Insomnia again.

I had tasted Double chocolate Chunk cookie along with Vanilla ice cream..!! There is no much space to have and along you need to wait a little while in queue to place your order..!!
I am in town for a medical reasons. After a long few days of testing I decided to reward myself with cookies and ice cream. OH MYLANTA, I am so grateful I tried this spot! I got delivery since I don't have a car. I got warm cookies and freezing cold ice cream! How amazing is that! I have the delivery person another tip for making my evening! The ice cream is melt in your mouth delish! I couldn't stop eating and was a little sad I only got 3 scoops. my doctors are going to kill me These cookies are what YUM is made of! I got 6 so I have some to bring home to my daughter and hubby tomorrow. They are going to LOVE these! Thank you for making my last day here the sweetest.
I've been to several insomnia cookie spots and they are mostly the same. This one stood out because they had a very attentive person working there, which is always nice. Tiny little spot in dinkytown with only 3 chairs to eat inside. The cookies and ice cream never disappoint, the cookies tasted very fresh! read more

After attending a volleyball game I was in the mood for something sweet. I knew that insomnia Cookies was open late and I have been wanting to try them. The store front is very small. You open the door and take a side step to get in line but really not a lot of room for more than 2-3 people at a time. Other than that it was a cute location and seemed pretty clean. The service was quick. I got four cookies. Double chocolate, (which was my favorite and worth the trip) snickerdoodle, sugar cookie and a brownie. They were all good but I would probably only go back for the double chocolate cookie. I am interested in trying a different location but if you are near the UofM, and in the mood for a sweet treat, it's worth a stop. read more

I'm torn between Okay and Good. Their cookies are GREAT, first of all. Let's be clear about that. I say torn because they always run out of cookies! LMBO My fat butt be craving cookies and they've run out of my fav flavor (Snickerdoodle btw) and I'm left with nothing. I get they're in Dinkytown, in college-ville, so ALL the college students want cookies too, but it's just hurtful when ... you know ... I want soft, warm, tasty cookies too... with a side of frosting. Yes, they sale frosting on the side! (* Inner greedy side cheers!) Parking is re-dang-diculous... good luck hunting some down. I suggest, the first spot you see, snatch it! It's almost the hardest to grab one on the same block. They're open 24 hrs, so you can always get a cookie... if they have the kind you want open. Also the deliver! Say whaaaaah?! Yep. D.E.L.I.V.E.R. So yeah... soft warm cookies can be delivered to your door thru a food delivery app, if you don't want to fight college students or greedy adults like myself, for parking! read more

I'm a big fan of cookies. Especially after a long day and a boozy night. We spent the day seeing the sights that Minneapolis had to offer and then wanted to end the day sweetly. So, we browsed to see what Uber Eats had to offer. Insomnia Cookies stuck out because of the name and concept of warm cookies being delivered to you. We ordered a variety of cookies and liked them all. I was a bit disappointed in our decision to forego ordering milk with our cookies, since hindsight was 20/20. read more

I had a late night visit to Insomnia soooo how could I not like it?!?! Late at night, the open lights at a cookie shop is the beacon of all that is good in this world! I'm an ice cream sandwich fan and my Cookiewich definitely did not disappoint! It's a sweetness overload but I blame my inability to get through it on my aging taste buds :( This location has also donated to my previous work once before - I love a donating business! Perfect sweet treat in Dinkytown! I was in town for business and after finishing up a wonderful meal at Loring Pasta bar, a friend and I saw Insomnia Cookies just across the street and decided to try it out. Who doesn't love warm cookies with delicious ice cream on your night out on the town? It's for sure going to be SWEETNESS overload but at that time it really hit the spot. I ordered a sandwich (ice cream stuffed between two cookies) and it was a lot, I could only manage to eat half. So if this is an after dinner treat, I'd say go for small even though the it doesn't seem like it would be that big. We picked out our treats, found a nearby bench and spent a little time eating, catching up and people watching. read more

I ordered 6 cookies and dip for my sister in law who is mourning the passing of her grandfather. I had the cookies delivered and one was missing, the others looked like they had been stepped on. Incredibly expensive and disappointing. read more

Insomnia Cookies offers great cookies, great prices, and almost any time you want them! Store: One day me and my wife were looking for a sweet treat and decided cookies sounded the best. We didnt want to go to the store and then have ti go home to back them so my wife told me about Insomnia Cookies. Her and her friends would order them while she was at college and said they were awesome! We were already in the area so we drove down to the store and I was blown away. The store is is a "hole in the wall" style store that has a lot of charm to it. It doesn't fit many people in but there's a small booth for people to sit and a nice little check out area. The staff was really nice and very quick at their job. We ordered and as we were ordering the chef was putting our cookies in a box for us! It was steam line and a pleasure. The store is small though so I think we will order online next time! Food: The food here is amazing. The do some of the best cookies I have ever had from a store. They were baked fresh and tasted very well made. They really hit the spot! They also have a large menu and something on there for everyone. They also offer the cookies in sizes of 6 and up so you can get a dozen or even 36 if them! You will not be disappointed with any of them. I highly recommend Insomnia Cookies for anyone that's looking for a great cookie to eat at anytime day or night. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and was very well made. The staff was great and we had a great experience. read more
I love cookies. I could come here every day and not get tired of them. They are located right off of 4th street and super easy to get to. Sometimes finding parking can be a problem, but that depends on the day and what time you go. When you come here and get a cookie, they are always warm and soft! I always get the regular chocolate chip cookies and their double chocolate chip one, and I have never been disappointed. Their store is small and can only seat a few people, but usually you will stop in and get some cookies on the go. They also deliver! For a delivery fee you don't even have to get up and come here, they will bring them to you! How great is that? Overall this is the best place to get delicious warm cookies around the cities. They are awesome! read more
