But we're a couple years into the Crumbl experience and it is my preferred cookie shop. Insomnia has the edge if you like consistency of flavors, rather than the weekly rotations à la Crumbl. Insomnia Cookies are flatter and to my mind serving size manageable. One cookie (I hope) is a serving. Whereas at the other place, one cookie is multiple servings and you gain weight and take in too much sugar real fast! Insomnia Cookies is the originator of late night cookies in Madison and worth it especially near campus and downtown. Delivery beyond the local area is available so you can even gift your friend! I stopped through insomnia cookies to fulfill my late night munchie cravings after catching a comedy show on state. The servers were not particularly helpful in guiding me to cookie heaven, but I found my own way there none the less. It was the confetti cookie, peanut butter cookie, and Carmel cookie that took me to cookie heaven. These cookies aren't as good as Levain and some of the other cookie spots that we have in Chicago, but they sure did cost the same. The cookies tasted fine, but were served to us cold. We tried the original cookie, white macadamia, and m&m cookie. They didn't have that "ooey gooey" feel that the signs promote. They were good cookies, but nothing you couldn't get from baking at home. On top of subpar cookies, the service was horrible. The man who took our order was rude and made us feel rushed to order despite us being the only customers in the place. He tossed our cookies across the counter to us and did not make our experience as tourists pleasurable at all. After rushing us for no reason, he directed his attention to his phone. So either eat them in the first 30 minutes of purchasing or save your money and go get some from the store. I am developing a love/hate relationship with Insomnia delivery. LOVE: Cookies are still warm when they arrive, ice cream is still frozen when it arrives! The website and app are super easy to use! My thoughts on Insomnia Cookies is that they serve a need. Everybody needs a warm, gooey cookie now and then - especially on a college campus. I went to school in Philadelphia, and we had one or two of these there, as well. Good for a chain, and the cookies never fail to disappoint. The cookies themselves are pretty well perfect. They are buttery, gooey, chewy hockey pucks filled with chocolate, peanut butter, and nuts. They are a little bite of heaven, if you are a cookie fan. There are normal sized and deluxe sized cookie variants available, as well as warm brownies. If you are going to go here, though, I recommend that you stick to the cookies; the brownies don't really compare. There are also ice cream sandwiches available, which are made to order and comprised of your choice of ice cream between your choice of normal sized cookies. The ice cream sandwiches are good, but again, I'd recommend sticking to the warm, gooey cookies. You can still get better ice cream next door at the Chocolate Ice Cream Shop. Oh, and did I mention that they deliver? Great option for late night study sessions, for those college students out there. read more

Can't complete a birthday delivery without making customer jump through hoops. After placing an order, with delivery instructions included, the company's policy of calling instead of knocking on a door of a small business (open to the public) was ridiculous. With no voicemail and a "delivery complete" on its online tracking, I was horrified when I found that it had not been delivered. No notification of delivery failure, instead I had delivery confirmation. (After calling "customer service" there was still no 're-delivery' after an hour, to a location less than a mile away, when their site boasts delivery times of 30-45mins. What was supposed to be a planned and completed treat for my mother at her work on her birthday turned into a frustrating and time/money waste from this so-called "business."
