There is never a bad experience at insomnia cookies for me. The cookies are always warm and fresh - literally falling apart - and always so delicious. I'm literally never disappointed and the service is always great and welcoming.

When I tell you they have the perfect recipe for some awesome cookies, I mean they have the perfect recipe for some awesome cookies. Just get your milk or whatever is your favorite beverage is to have with cookies and get ready to be delighted. After your first bite you will feel your eyes roll and lay out a big sigh. The cookies I'm showing you are their vegan options and the have plenty of non-vegan cookies. So go ahead treat yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Cookie sandwich with chocolate chunk cookies, Caramellionaire ice cream and Dreamweaver ice cream

Horrible service at first. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon, no one else was in the shop. The workers were talking amongst themselves and walking back and forth between the kitchen and the counter. They spent more time in the kitchen. They did not greet us. It was like they were making a point to keep us waiting, it was a weird and unwelcoming feeling. However, as I was not in a rush, I wanted to stay and see what happened. When I was finally greeted and given eye contact, the cashier asked what I wanted and explained the selection and prices as this was my first time here. We choose a cookie sandwich. The cookie was decent, not the best I've had but not dry or stale. The ice cream was the star! The purple Dreamweaver was delicious chocolatety goodness but the real winner was the Caramellionaire. Sooo yummy. I would come back for the ice cream but try a different location.

Folks are real nice here; I had family visiting from out of town and they went in to browse. Though there's not much to look at inside, we ordered a few cookies to try. Usually, each cookie is fairly pricey, but the staff gave us our fresh order for free (likely because we looked like tourists). I don't think they'll give every customer on-the-house cookies, but it was real sweet of them to do. Strongly recommend the triple chocolate cookie - soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The S'mores cookie was delicious as well. While free cookies are nice, we definitely would've paid for these.

Stopped by this location to grab some cookies and I was pleasantly surprised when it came to their service ! There were two employees working and they both were friendly and welcoming. They made genuine small talk and let us know which cookies were the most fresh. Snickerdoodle and chocolate chunk forever!

Came here for a late night snack. I love the insomnia cookies in LA, so I was a happy to see that the quality remains the same in Dallas as well. Cookies came out quickly and were delicious.

1/2 of an MnM, sugar and oatmeal raisin. We are the others LoL.

I went in, talked to the employees, asked which pies were shelf stable and could survive a trip to Austin, and after being told which, I promised I'd come back after dinner. When I came back, they were out of the apple, so I bought a pumpkin pie, or as it's known on the menu, Drop Dead Gourdgeous, which, as a person who loves word play, already gives this place a 5/5. The employees were so incredibly helpful and kind, and being able to come here and get something for my friends in Austin made this worth transporting everything from Dallas to Austin worth it. I don't know if they do, but I really hope they deliver frozen pies, because even in California, they would have a customer for life out here because of their hospitality and amazing customer service. The place wasn't too loud since they were in the last 90 minutes or so of business hours, but it was great because I got to ask them all of the questions I needed. If they don't deliver frozen pies, then I will definitely find my way back here one day.

I paid $17.32 for two slices of pie at Emporium Pies, and it was a total rip-off…read more Calling this place an "Emporium" is absurd. The boxes are huge and fancy, but they are mostly full of empty space. When you open them, the actual slice inside is tiny. It is just a thin sliver sitting on a big sheet of paper. Charging almost nine dollars a slice for a few small bites is ridiculous. I almost brought an out-of-town guest here to show off Dallas bakeries, and I am so glad I went alone first. Handing a visitor a micro-slice in a giant box would have been embarrassing. Do not waste your money here. You are paying high prices for tiny portions hidden in pretty cardboard.

It had a nice, warm, and welcoming feel, which made it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a quick treat. The staff was attentive and took my order pretty quickly, which I appreciated. My Americano came out hot and had a really good bold flavor. I love adding cream to my coffee, and once I did, it balanced out that strong kick perfectly. The beignets were made fresh to order and took about 7 minutes to come out. They were hot, soft, and very fluffy, almost more similar to a donut than a traditional beignet. Since most of my beignet experience comes from New Orleans, Louisiana, I definitely had a different texture in mind going in. I personally wish they had been a little crispier, especially around the edges, but they were still decent and enjoyable. Overall, I had a good experience. Between the welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, good coffee, and fresh beignets, I would definitely try Le Bon Temps again without hesitation.

I only remained there because I wanted to taste the hype about the ice cream. As the young boy was being help, two minutes had gone by and finally i was helped by the cashier, I was not greeted, she only said next. I ordered a scoop of strawberries & cream, and it was so GOOD! It was so creamy and soft, just the way I love it. I'll probably go back again and I hope they have different flavors to try.

After riding scooters around Dallas, we stumbled across The…read morePeach Cobbler Factory and, with a name like that, of course we had to come back and try it. First bonus: they have their own little dedicated parking lot, which is definitely appreciated in Deep Ellum. Inside, there's also a cute greenery wall that makes a nice spot for pictures. Now, let's get to the important part-the desserts! They have everything: peach cobblers, banana puddings, ice cream, shakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cheesecake, brownies, churro sticks and more. But we came to a place called The Peach Cobbler Factory, so naturally we were getting peach cobbler. And then we discovered they have DESSERT FLIGHTS. Genius! I love a flight because you get to try several things without committing to just one. We chose four small desserts--three cobblers and a banana pudding--plus vanilla ice cream with what seemed like a little cinnamon sprinkled on top. Let me just say: this flight was diabetes on a plate. Everything was SWEET. My favorite was the mango peach cobbler. It was very sweet, but that mango and peach combination was delicious and easily took the #1 spot for me. My sister's favorites (and basically tied for my second favorite) were between two. The blackberry peach cobbler. The blackberry gave it that rich, almost blackberry-pie flavor mixed with the peaches, and it was SO good. Then there was the sweet potato pecan cobbler. Completely different flavor from the blackberry peach, so it was almost impossible to compare the two. Sweet potato and pecans together with the cobbler, especially paired with the vanilla ice cream, Delicious. Our fourth choice was the red velvet banana pudding, layered with banana pudding and red velvet with vanilla wafers. That was the one we could leave behind. It wasn't terrible, but with this much sugar and this many calories on the table, it simply wasn't worth the calories for us. Overall, the dessert flight was the star of the show and such a fun way to sample several flavors. Three definite winners out of four, and we had a great time trying them and comparing favorites. A great little Deep Ellum find--and if you go, GET THE FLIGHT! One note: something like 'the flight size was perfect to share, but the full portions looked like way too much. It would have been way too rich. It might be great if they offered that smaller size as a standard option.
