Came in during the lunch rush to grab a sandwich. Bit of a line but I didn't mind. After a minute or so in line, I needed to use the restroom so I asked a staff member for the code to the bathroom. Instead of giving me the code they said I needed to wait until I had a receipt. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I get the whole "bathrooms are for customer only" bit. But I've clearly been waiting in line. I'm dressed professionally (polo shirt and khakis) so I'm obviously not a random homeless person. I'm not going to piss myself waiting in line because you won't exercise a modicum of common sense. OK, I am finishing up my Dallas reviews. I have a few more to go. Chain joint in DT Dallas. There are a lot of options on the menu, but I didn't want a "skinny" or "lettuce" sandwich. Then I spotted the "Gargantuan" at $7.75 - it had everything! But, I was still a little skeptical when I received my sandwich... It looked the same size as the regular sandwiches inside the wrapper. Then I opened up the wrapper and lo and behold: FINALLY, A SANDWICH WORTH THE HYPE! It had a ton of meat, the veggies were fresh and it was good sized. The only downside was the bread - Although it was fresh it did not have any pop to it. I was starving by the time we had lunch - 2 pm - so I downed that sucker quickly. I didn't even need chips to fill me up. If I worked in DT Dallas this place would be on my weekly lunch rotation. I didn't give more stars because chain joints just don't deserve them. We have ordered from this location three times during our trip to Dallas. Twice the order was incorrect and the third time after receiving an order confirmation and having my card charged they sent an email (not even the courtesy of a phone call) saying the order had been cancelled. When I called they refused to answer the phone even though they are supposed to be open for three more hours. So I'm out $50 and have no food! Very poorly ran business! Not up to JJ standards, Perhaps JJ corporate needs to know how they treat their customers here...If I could give negative stars I would! This location has issues with its customer service. It does not have enough drivers as I was told by the person that answers the phone. So my lunch order was 27 minutes late. when I called back it seemed like no big deal that I was not going get to eat my lunch because my food was too late getting here. He was only willing to issue a credit for the delivery fee ($3) not worried about the 20% tip ($5+) I paid to get my food here on time. I'm a newer fan of Jimmy John's after having tried it a couple of weeks ago in Tempe, AZ. This shop is conveniently located in the West End's Business District, near enough to tourist sites and the DART train. I went here on for Sunday lunch, walking down a pretty deserted Elm St. After a short line, I placed my order and then took a seat. I noticed that others were getting their orders with lightning efficiency, including a few that came in after me. I decided after a few minutes to go to the counter to inquire, since this place is known for their speed. Apparently, they gave my sandwich to someone else. They were extremely apologetic and made the sandwich and sliced the giant pickle that I ordered on the side in about a minute's time. It was sensational, just as it had been in AZ. For 29 cents, I added hot peppers (with pep) and it amplified the experience even further. The portions are massively generous and the bread is insanely fresh. I'd give 5 stars, since the quality is top-notch, but I've gotta take one away for the screw-up. Some other notes: I was surprised that I couldn't select the pickle as a side, which I was able to do in AZ; instead, I paid a little more since I didn't want the chips + drink combo. We went to this Jimmy Johns looking for something to eat on a Sunday after finding out everything else was closing, so we try to get in, and two of the main doors were locked. The two teenagers who were working there looked like they didn't want to be there, and it looked like they were trying to pre-close even though they were supposed to close only at 9PM. Ordered curbside last Thursday at the Greenville Ave location. After waiting for 10 minutes, I call and was hung up on twice. I finally went into the store where the clerk lazily pointed to my order. I explained that I had been waiting for curbside delivery and she said that her manager told them not to service curbside. Why is it on your app? Traditional JJs - nothing too exciting. The seating area isn't the greatest if you're eating in - it's very long and narrow. Was a little chilly inside, but no big deal. They make a pretty decent sandwich here at Jimmy John's. Nothing mind blowing, just a good, decent sandwich. The ordering/pickup process was just to hectic to not annoy the crap out of me. Place your order at the counter, walk around to the other side of the counter to pick it up. Simple, right? Nope. You don't have an order number. They don't ask your name. You just have to trust that YOUR sandwich is given to you and not the dude behind you that ordered the same thing. Minus three stars, Jimmy John. The two things that save Jimmy John's from being a "meh" is 1) the ham is SUPER tasty. I could dress in a giant Jimmy John's ham bikini and eat it off myself. 2) The house brand Jalapeno chips are all that AND a bag of chips. So it would THEN be a bag of chips, all that, and then another bag of chips, and then some more of that, and then another bag of chips, and so ad infinitum. Plus two stars. We ordered from here last week at work and it was pretty decent. We decided to order again today since we were swamped. Sadly, I was disappointed. I am a picky eater, and thus I ordered my #8 with no lettuce, tomato, or mayo. God I hate mayo. I excited unwrap my sandwich and...there's mayo all over it. I get a knife to scrape off as much as I possibly can and in doing so discover stuck-on lettuce pieces and tomato seeds. So basically they made my sandwich wrong and instead of correcting their mistake the right way by getting a new piece of bread, they just dumped off what they could and left the rest. I was a little frustrated, but I was hungry so I dove in anyway. Well, at least until I saw the dead fly smushed into the bottom of my bread. I've been delaying my trip to Jimmy John's because my workmates never want to go. The sandwich lover of the group contests the originality and tastiness of Jimmy Johns, and the rest of the group has a short attention span when it comes to sandwiches. Today, I had a solo lunch, so I seized the opportunity and went to Jimmy John's. I get the most basic sandwich- Slim #1. It's ham, cheese, and bread. I dig it. Yeah, it's slim, cause there's not a whole ton of shit on it. But it's classic and good. These guys working here are friendly and fun. They got me my food fast, a free drink upsize, and did it with a smile. The last guy of the sandwich line did some fancy throwing the sandwich in the air as he called it out, before handing it off. I don't love many sub sandwiches, but I love Jimmy Johns. Love their good, fresh, basic ingredients. Huge fan of the Pepe #1, awesome ham and provolone cheese with just lettuce, tomato and mayo, it's perfect. I'm also a big fan of their whole grain bread, which is very good with the Beach Club, turkey, avocado spread, sprouts, etc. This location was clean, not a huge dining area, but fine enough. Most of the staff seemed very nice, I didn't love the overly obnoxious guy that was shouting to me about what he could start for me before I was up to the counter. Gimme a minute man. Ordered online 2 sandwiches to our hotel and both were incorrectly made witch wasn't a huge issue. I called the location requesting replacement subs and Jennifer answered with a sour attitude right out of the gate. Then once I informed her they were incorrectly made she immediately dismissed my claim stating she made them herself. And when I politely requested they still be re-made she said "sure I'll remake them and send them" and promptly hung up on me as I was thanking her for her help. Visiting from Connecticut where we have a wonderful selection of sandwich shops. We walked there from our hotel in Dallas after a long and delayed flight. Staff was pleasant and our food was ready quickly. I had the Italian Night Club (italian combo) and my friend had the Bootlegger (roast beef and turkey combo). It was clear that this establishment uses quality deli meat and great bread. We noted on the drink cups that they had "exceptional delivery". A few days later we ordered delivery between a tight schedule of meetings. It arrived so quickly that I was astonished! Again, we repeated our order from our first visit (creatures of habbit).
