This was a great stop to end the night. Friendly staff and many choices to fill that craving of your sweet tooth calling out. We were told the chocolate chip cookies had about 20 minutes, so we went with double chocolate chip. Amazing taste! Worth checking out if you near. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE service from the worker. She was extremely dismissive and rude. I personally would love to see another place at this location because it was so horrible. The cookies are mid and overpriced. Would definitely recommend other dessert places around such as I scream gelato, UDF, or Dairy Queen. This one is a skip. read more

I ordered cookies for my grandkids for going back to school. Unfortunately they were delivered in the middle of the night and the ants had quite a party. Apparently redelivery was not an option. Got my money back but grandkids got no cookies. Insomnia will get no more business from me. read more

Got the "M3gan's killer creation" ice cream sandwich here. Cookies are always baked fresh right when you order them and are super soft. Be careful with the ice cream sandwiches though. They'll melt quickly from the warm cookies pretty quickly. read more

I'm sorry I forgot to take a picture but god late night cookies slap so hard I'm crying I love warm chocolate chip cookies with milk. I wish I had a microwave in my room so I could just keep microwaving cookies. I used to think cookies were not a big deal but after failing to bake them well I have a newfound respect for cookies like I followed this fancy recipe and like the cookies were fancy or whatever but I think sometimes you just need the most basic ass cookie. Like you know those pillsbury cookie logs you cut up and then throw in the oven like that's the level we need to aspire to I think. But in terms of insomnia cookies like the vegan chocolate chip cookie was really really good, maybe even better than the regular chocolate chip. Also my neighbor (fuck them) tried to steal my cookies bc the delivery driver left them on the wrong doorstep. At least that's my head canon bc in reality it was a fairly civil exchange in which my neighbor claimed to have tried to take the box into their place to ask if someone had ordered cookies. YEA NICE TRY. Good always prevails read more

The cookies were warm and gooey. My favorite was the chocolate chip and my least favorite was the chocolate mint. I did order one vegan cookie, but it was extremely sweet! I would probably order the dippers next to try something different. These are good if you want a warm cookie and have dietary issues and need more options. read more

Ok so I have lived down in the Short North for 7 years and I went to grad school at OSU for 3.5 of those years. And I am ashamed to admit that I just now recently tried Insomnia Cookies for the first time! I feel like I had heard of Insomnia Cookies a long time ago. My sister was in undergrad at OSU and I had heard her talk about it. I got the impression it was just a place that had subpar cookies catering to the late night snack cravings of drunk college students. I never seemed interested in trying them out. Fast forward well into adulthood and my boss told me that she ordered me a treat to celebrate my work anniversary-- I had been at my company for 5 years. Which happened to time up extremely well with Fat Tuesday this year. I figured if she ordered me a treat I was open to whatever it was! Soon enough, Insomnia Cookies came aknockin' and I was enamored with that fresh baked cookie smell. I opened the box and instantly contemplated skipping dinner just to eat cookies. Luckily, I managed to eat dinner and then dug in! The cookies were fantastic! She ordered me all 6 of their "deluxe" cookies: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Confetti, Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut, S'mores, Salted Caramel and Triple Chocolate. They were all amazing, but I feel like Confetti was my favorite, followed by Salted Caramel. I ate half of each cookie that night and chose to freeze the remainder. The good news is that these cookies freeze really well. I ate them a few weeks later. Just took them out of the freezer overnight and ate them at room temp. They were still super soft and tasted fresh baked. All told, I'm officially a fan and think this is such a great treat to send to someone. I was very surprised and grateful for the sweet gift. I'll need to pay it forward sometime when it's someone else's special day! read more

To be honest I'm really surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. They literally were the best cookies I've ever had in my life. Like I'm not joking you! I was in heaven! I had the confetti cookie as well as he salted caramel cookie before I had to stop for the night. They were so big and so plentiful and just so freaking delicious! There was a line going out the door but once we got in as they are only accepting two people at a time, they were very friendly and helped us out. The cookies were so warm and overall it was great! I had a bit of a sugar headache that evening but I would go back in a heartbeat for dessert. I want to try some of their ice cream cookies as well. Bravo! read more

Ordered Insomnia Cookies for the first time, when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Each individual cookie arrived warm! I ordered a dozen classic cookies plus a chocolate peanut butter cup cookie. Every cookie tasted phenomenal. The cookies were gooey in the center with a nice surrounding crunch. My favorite was the classic with M&M's. I would definitely recommended trying these cookies! read more

Good cookies but not out of this world for the price. If you're craving some warm cookies this is definitely the local place to go, however if you're looking for some top notch out of this world cookies this place isn't it. The big 'which was okay. I mean what can you say about cookies and ice cream.. DELICIOUS, served warm and fresh. You can order pick up, delivery or eat there. We stopped and ate thre humungous ice cream sandwich there and took a dozen home with us. The shop is small, so we lucked out with room to eat there. Ive ordered these for my son on campus at Ohio University he loves mom's special cookie delivery i always send ice cream to because why not!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Decided to go to Insomnia Cookies because I have heard a lot about how great their cookies are. After seeing for myself, I was highly unimpressed. It's downtown near campus so you have the stress of trying to find a parking spot. You walk in and it is a tiny shop. They offer very cheap quality ice cream, and cookies that taste like they are made from frozen dough. To top it off the prices are expensive. I ordered a cookie Ala mode, it was a single scoop of cheap sugary ice cream with a small warm cookie underneath for $5.30. The restroom toilet was not clean, there was "hair" all over the toilet seat. You definitely did not want to sit down if you are a girl. This is not a place I would be dying to visit again. read more

We stopped here to get cookies for the ICU Nurses at OSU. We have a family member there and were visiting on the late shift. Night time shifts are always rough so we figured they'd enjoy a treat. We also got a couple of the giant Peanut Butter cup cookies for ourselves. That cookie was one of the best cookies I've ever had. It was fresh, warm and ooey gooey in all the right ways. The nurses all came and thanked us and raved about the cookies they had. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because we ordered ahead and still had to wait while they prepped the order. Why have the option to order ahead of you don't get them ready?! read more

5.0 Stars Location Overview: This little cookie shop of awesomeness is located on N High St. between Northwich and Northwood. The inside smells of heaven and that's all you need to be excited about. Customer Service: The guy that served us was pretty great he let us know pricing on getting bundles of cookies and what the ice cream sandwhich price differences were. Quality/Quantity: The quality of the cookies, brownies and ice cream were soooo good. The cookies are ALWAYS WARM!!!!! The quantity of an overall cookie can range from your average size to pretty hefty. The topics that go into the cookies are definitely not shy here. Truly heaven in Columbus. Side Notes: Go!! This isn't the first time we've had Insomnia Cookies, but it is the first time at this location. The gentleman that was working gave off the impression that we were bothering him. All of the cookies were great except for the BigWich. This cookie is supposed to be 2 regular cookies of your choice with a nice layer of frosting in the middle. Well, as you can see ours had a teeny tiny strip of frosting just enough to hold the two cookies together. If there wouldn't have been a line outside I would have just requested that one to be returned. I wouldn't care except for the fact that it is a $6.00 cookie. Extremely disappointed in this location, we will continue to visit other locations though! read more

Ridiculously simple process. 1. Find a parking spot. This might be the hardest step. 2. Walk inside. The first step is kinda high. 3. Look over the menu and drool over the selections. 4. Order a cookie. I suggest the oatmeal raisin but do you. 5. Prepare yourself for warm goodness and delight. 6. Repeat. read more

So the double chocolate chip cookies are the absolute best. However this location is a little shady. They ran a special for 6 free cookies when you buy 12. I witnessed them charge a woman for the extra 6 and then proceed to turn the tv off (the one that was advertising the deal) so that no one would see it? Pretty bad. When we asked for all 18 to be double chocolate they stared at us and said they didn't have enough. I asked if they could make them fresh and they said yes but we'd have to wait (which we were fine with). read more

I have never had a bad experience here! I prefer insomnia cookies over any other cookie place in the Columbus area.

Ooey Gooey Goodness! What's better than a cooking run at 2:45am on a Wednesday morning (Tuesday night?!). Not much! Insomnia Cookies was our step after a long evening and show and we ended up grabbing two cookies! They did not disappoint! This is a franchise that we don't have back in Buffalo, but it ends up serving a late night cookie niche on campus. They also have milk in the fridge but unfortunately no tea or coffee. The chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies we had were delightful and super appreciated. The place is small, but for a quick cookie pickup; it's clutch! Don't miss out! read more

When I need my chocolate chip cookie fix. This is where I go. I have to travel from Gahanna Ohio, to the University district just to get my hands on these delicious morsels. The thing that I love about this place. Is that you can get fresh. Late night snacks. LATE AT NIGHT. We need more places like this. I mean when you going through a tough time in the wee hours. What's better than a warm melty chocolate chip cookie with some milk?! Food: As mentioned above. The cookies are fresh and awesome. Warm to the touch with that pull the cookie apart to see the melty chocolate stretch that you typically see in commercials. They are also very hearty so yo don't really mind the price of them at all. Service: Eh. It's what you expect for counter service type of establishment that has long lines often times depending on when you go. The staff is typically cordial. Place: There is no real ambience in this joint. It's pretty much a dive bar for cookies and those that crave them in the off hours. read more

I don't know why this place has only 3 stars. I order from them every once in awhile as well as stop by when I am in need and it is always great. They even donated a ton of cookies for an event I had when I was raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They deliver, which is amazing. because when you've had the worst year of your life (like i have) and you don't want to leave your house or couch you can simply get on your phone or computer and order up some comfort cookies. Just the other day i ordered a cookie and a scoop of ice cream and to be extra, I got a chocolate chip cookie with chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, topped with chocolate chip cookie dough bites and it was everything I had hoped it would be. My guy ordered a Deluxe Bigwich (i think... whichever one has the icing filling) I really wanted to order that but i thought it was even over the top for me. When our food arrived i did swipe a taste of icing and immediately regretted my decision. But when I started eating mine I was completely content. read more

I wish I liked this place more, considering I live a 3 minute walk away, but insomnia's cookies are really just not that good. The few aspects they do have going for them are that these cookies are served warm, and even with ice cream, and that they are open late. But in terms of quality of the cookie, it's your typical Otis spunkmeyer cookie, but with a bigger variety of flavors. I would go to Panera to get a warm chocolate chip cookie or even bake my own before going to insomnia. read more

Let's get real. When you have a hard core cookie hankering at 9pm it's never followed by, "Oh and I can't wait to make them from scratch!"--said no one that I know ever. So enter Insomnia Cookies near OSU campus. It's the hot cookie delivery service for anyone living nearby. Good for ya'll. I'm not in their delivery zone. Which means when I want my late night cookie snack I have to hoof it there myself. That alone itself is a strike against Insomnia Cookies in my book. Second, parking is horrible. It now becomes a 2 person job: one to drive and brave stopping in the middle of High Street (flashers on) in front of the shop front long enough for the passenger to hop out of the car. The passenger goes in to get hot cookies while the driver (me if you hadn't guessed) gets lost in the maze that is OSU campus because well, it's a campus. By the time the driver gets back to the cookie place, the passenger has happily eaten her cookie in the store so it didn't get cold since she was waiting forever. Who could blame her. So at this point this cookie better be THE most delicious, amazing, scrumptious milk chocolate little thing that has ever been created because it took forever and a day to get it. Here's the problem: well, it's just not. I honestly like warming up Sam's Club milk chocolate cookies in the microwave for 11 seconds better than the cookie I got from here. (And Sam's cookies are FAR less work.) I like a very gooey, soft, melt in your mouth cookie. Like when you pick it up it breaks apart soft. Not the biggest fan of warm crunchy cookies, not at all, actually. Insomnia Cookies are small for starters, and my cookie experience was a warm crunchy cookie. The milk chocolate morsels were melted and quite lovely. The best bite was the last bite--the very center of the cookie. But beyond that there was so little that would compel me to go through the whole big rigmarole to experience that teeny tiny center bite of loveliness. Did the cookie taste good? Uhhhh--it's a warm cookie. Yeah. Was it my favorite? Not by a long shot. Would I get it again? If they came warm to my front door, absolutely. Here's hoping for a second location closer to home. read more

Wow... one flavor better than the other. Delicious chocolate chunk and they were warm off the hot oven at 11:00 pm. They are opened until 3:00 am. The best part is they deliver too! Right to your door at midnight and still warm. Chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, macadamia nut. All tasty. If you like cookies- this is the place. read more

After a depressing dinner last night, I had to find a quick pick me up. I conveniently parked close to Insomnia Cookies knowing I'd give into the temptation. I had been debating ordering these all day but never did. I got one of their deluxe cookie sandwiches, and it was pretty amazing, albeit a bit pricey at $7. The triple chocolate chip cookies were so tasty with some chocolate ice cream in the middle. So healthy. One issue I have though is that they put the ice cream between two of these really warm cookies, so unless you're eating it immediately, you literally end up with cookies 'n cream. It actually started melting as soon as it hit the cookies. I ended up salvaging what I could and using a spoon for the rest. Despite my little first world problem here (it actually made it a real pain to eat), the cookies and ice cream were awesome, so I'll definitely be back. read more

Offering cookies and brownies warm out of the oven, late at night, delivered to your door- it really makes you wonder what took them so god damned long. For those of us who don't constantly fill up on beer every night, Insomnia Cookies is the perfect thing for a late-night sweets craving. I'm really, really upset that they closed for the summer. It's not their fault- campus is probably all of their business (sometimes I feel like our apartment is their only business), so closing during the off-term is, I'm certain, a great move for them. But I miss them. Even me, sweets-a-phobe me, even I love Insomnia Cookies. I like the cookies more than the brownies but I love the brownies- so there you go! They have a good selection of both, although I think the plain brownies are better than any of the more candy-ish brownies. When those cookies show up, warm (sometimes even hot) and at my door- that's quite the thing. Amazing. They'd get five stars if they still delivered milk. (Bonus secret: if you promise a big tip, sometimes the driver will pick up milk for you on his way over- well worth the extra delivery time if you're out of milk yourself, or if you want whole and your house stocks 2%.) read more
