We were greeted half heartedly when we walked in. Wasn't sure if the cashier did didn't have a great day or they're just ready to clock out . They weren't rude or anything just I could tell they're ready to go home and halfway to not want to sell us anything which should've took that as a sign . This would be a great late night place if you're not picky and don't mind getting a reheated cookie that's definitely nowhere near fresh. The texture of the cookies we got were very dry. We received them warm, but it was as if they were under a hot lamp all day. Unfortunately, they ran out of the flavor that I wanted. So I got the vegan version of it, which typically doesn't change the flavor of it too much but it just wasn't enjoyable. We also got the extra large sugar cookie with the sprinkles that one was even worse. It just tastes like chalk. There's bar seating by the window , in a decent amount of space if there was ever a line. read more

Super awkward experience. Two guys just sitting on the back freezer talking and on their phones. Stood there for a while until they looked up. When I finally got their attention, and ordered... the guy at the counter reached from under the counter without making eye contact, threw the cookies in there and slid the box towards me. Super bummed cuz they were stale too. I've been a long time customer it's just sad :( read more

Great cookies and open late! This location was out of a few of my initial choices but it was a busy night. There is a paid lot nearby for parking, but I did have multiple people asking for money and following me when I exited so be aware of your surroundings if you are there late. read more

Just happened to be in Atlanta celebrating a birthday so we stopped by Insomnia Cookies! We love their cookies but service was seriously lacking today. I ordered the 4 + 4 but when I got home I only had two cookies instead of 4. These cookies are too expensive to be missing 2. My daughter was missing 1 cookie in her box too! We live too far away to go back! Always count your cookies or brownies before leaving. read more

I've been to this location multiple times but it's been a few years so here I am to finally write my review. Kevin was the guy who took my order & we talked for a lil minute but I could tell we probably could've stood & talked for a while. Very welcoming! I have only walked up to this location; I have never ordered from a delivery app or pre-ordered from the app which is what most folks seem to have the bad reviews for. So after saying that - This place is where it's at. Cookies are always fresh and hot and every single flavor is delicious. Snickerdoodle and the Caramel Delight are my favorites, my friends love the lil dipper which is 12 small cookies and a big ol' tub of a frosting of your choice, and all in all it's all good. There's nothing like pulling up to a place at 11 PM and walking into some great customer service with some amazing cookies that make you want more. Seriously, I love this place. At first I was taken aback by the price of the ice cream cookie, but after getting it, I totally understand. The cookies were larger than my hand and the ice cream cookie itself could've been an entire dinner or dessert for like 4 people! I absolutely love Insomnia Cookies and I don't eat them too often as I know they are wayyyy too high in calories, but I was in the beltline area and I knew I had to get some. I thought the closest location was the Midtown location near GT, but it looks like this location opened up not too long ago, so it was super convenient. Just like any Insomnia location, the store is super small and it's pretty much a pick up n' go kinda place. I got a half dozen cookies -- chocolate chip, double chocolate mint & sugar cookies. There is this weird stereotype about sugar cookies because they're plain but these cookies absolutely SLAP and it goes well with milk. I was the only person at the store so I was able to go in and out fairly quickly and I usually have to wait long amounts of time but this was an exceptional experience! The cookies.. do I need to even say anything? They were absolutely amazing and I enjoyed every single piece. It IS overwhelmingly sweet and you can definitely feel your weight going up as you're eating them but it's definitely worth it when you're indulging and need a nice little treat. I love Insomnia and I cannot wait to return! read more

The service went really well, I was in and out of there really quickly. I went at 9pm on Halloween and the vibes there were pretty calm and quiet. And as for the cookies, every cookie I tried was really good. I unfortunately gobbled them up too fast before even snapping any photos, they were that good. Fun girls day out ended with a sweet tooth. We decided to drive down to Insomnia since we've never had it before. I have to say they were pretty good. And the staff was nice. Fast service. 4.5 stars! I have tried the competition and insomnia wins! Chain or not, they have got it down! Definitely my favorite chocolate chip cookies around and I love how they are always served warm. My kids just loooove the vegan birthday cake cookie and when I can steal a bite I enjoy it too! I wish their red velvet cookie was year round! Their standard cookies are only $2.75 which is a lot cheaper than all the other cookie places around. read more

GREAT SERVICE! I have been a fan of Insomnia Cookies since my college years. It was really exciting to see them in this new location, near the beltline. After going this evening, I know this is going to become my favorite treat after a walk! I got the s'mores, birthday cake and classic chocolate chip. They were flavorful and cooked to perfection. 0/10 do not recommend. We went in on a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted when I first arrived. I then informed the young lady that I was having issues with the app as well as the website stating that certain products wasn't available but wouldn't tell me which. So she informed the manager maybe then left for break I'm guessing. The manager comes out and I explain to him that on the app it isn't allowing me to choose a pickup time and on the website it states that a certain product is not available but does not show which one. I stood in the store for approximately 15 minutes informing the manager of the errors I kept receiving as he's asking me to try things that I've already tried! He finally states that he's going to check and see if he's received any news from corporate to which he did. By this time I'm irritated because instead of attending to my issue there's other customers coming in and he's taking their order. I was understanding of the issue as it seems he was the only one until the young lady came back. So he then tells me that he'll be able to put it in another way by this time I'm dizzy so I inform him that I'm dizzy and will send my husband in to complete the order. He tells me to tell him the cookies I want to which I again respond I'll send in my husband! My husband goes in and he's given the run around too but on a lesser time than I spent in the store. We should have just left but we'd already spent so much time there and my son was asking for his chocolate chip cookie. So the manager comes out looking for my husband and advise him that he can make our order for us. I was confused as to why he couldn't when he'd just told me he could. We get our order and finally head home after being there for 35+ mins. Here's the cherry on top: the next day my son who wanted that chocolate cookie is vomiting his insides out; while my husband and I have diarrhea. We have another son that we were waiting for symptoms to appear but luckily when I gave him the cookie he didn't want it (I suppose we should have known then not to eat the cookie)! I took my son to urgent care and it was determined that he had food poisoning and was prescribed medication. Here we are the next day Tuesday monitoring him & ourselves to make sure all is well. We threw the cookies out and will not be returning to any insomnia after that incident. I hope that all those that came before me while I waited didn't get sick like my family and if they did there needs to be an investigation as to what's happening. read more

I recently visited this location and I was so excited to order gluten free cookies! I explicitly requested gluten free cookies and I was given vegan cookies. I quickly realized they were not correct and another employee provided me with the correct order. As someone with celiac (can not consume gluten) this experience was extremely disheartening. I guess I must've written it off due to the parking situation, and I honestly would've never visited, but a friend suggested coming here, so here I am. It's very, very limited parking. I'm not sure if we're *allowed* to park in the nearby parking lots, and I didn't have to, but if there's only like 6 spaces with barely enough space for cars to pass through entering and exiting... idk, it's not for me, esp when Doraville can get v traffick-y and the turn lanes are just waiting. Interior wise, it's cute. It tries to invoke a sense of Japanese aesthetic with the shoji panels, all the wood and light, the fake flowers, and I don't hate it. It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.

In this visit, my group shared a banana pudding and strawberry tangulu and they were both pretty solid. The pudding was not too sweet, creamy, and caky. The banana slices were also not mushy which I liked. I'm not a huge fan of tanghulu in general, but I liked the strawberries which were sweet, juicy, and fresh. The sugar coating was crunchy and not too sticky which I liked as well. The interior is big, but busy and packed when we went close to midnight on a Friday night. They also have a ramyun station, photo booth, and a cellphone case maker which is fun! I also saw people with laptops hooked up to the outlets, so this may be study spot option as well? They also have a lot of free, ample parking in front. I can see a lot of college kids making this a regular hangout spot.
