WOW!!! So, I head in for my exam with the latest and greatest 3D Mammogram from Dr. Melisa Agness of Insight Imaging and what happens, she finds a couple of spots. Immediately, she sent me into another lovely room for an ultrasound to verify what was found all in the same appointment (all within 30 minutes of my arrival). There was NO time for fear to set in...instant results were provided by Dr. Melisa showing that they are just cysts. I'm so THANKFUL FOR DR. MELISA!!! Had this been just a regular experience, I would have been called back to inform me that they found something and I would have had to wait perhaps days before the next appointment and then another day or two (or longer) to get the actual results because the technician isn't allowed to read the ultrasound. It would have so easy (and human) to have been stressed out or fearful in the waiting period. Ladies, Dr. Melisa's office and staff are OUTSTANDING!!! The service is unlike any other Dr.'s office I've ever visited and I strongly encourage you to seek her services! If you have insurance, great. If you don't-she offers FREE Mammograms to any woman needing theirs completed. There are no excuses and obviously, no room for fear! They are also doing FULL X-Rays for any need so have your Dr. prescribe you to go to her for this service as well! Help get the word out! Love you Dr. M! read more

My wife went in for a regular mammogram on one breast, and a diagnostic mammogram on the other, which was showing weird nipple behavior. The mammogram technician was very considerate and manually adjusted the pressure each time, asking her how much compression she could tolerate. The radiologist was supposed come and talk to her about the findings; instead, she was ushered into an ultrasound room. The ultrasound technician told her that the radiologist wanted an ultrasound as well. My wife had noticed a sign in the mammogram room (not in the front office) that since this part was diagnostic, not preventive, insurance might not cover the cost. She asked about the cost and it was pricey. However, since she wanted to rule out the possibility of cancer, she decided to go ahead. After the technician was done, the radiologist came in and did some further ultrasound checking and then discussed the results with her. So the actual treatment was very good, with caring people, but the money end was not as transparent as it could have been, in our opinion. We will certainly check with our insurance in advance of any future unfamiliar medical procedures. read more

Insight Imaging is fantastic. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my mammogram! The entire staff is wonderful, polite, kind and everything moves very quickly. The best part - if there's something wonky, they can do extra images or an ultrasound then and there - no waiting! AND, even better, you get your results on the spot. Unlike most imaging centers, no waiting, you have your results immediately, which, when you've had a cancer diagnosis in the past, means absolutely everything. If necessary, Dr. Agness will refer you out to other medical professionals; everything is handled for you quickly and efficiently. She's just awesome. I first went to Insight Imaging several years ago because they are conveniently located within walking distance from my work. I have continued to go for my annual mammograms because of the friendly staff, gentle technicians, my results are discussed with me before I leave and especially because of Dr. Agnes. Yesterday I had my annual mammogram and met Dr. Anna Wilson for the first time. I was a little taken aback to not see Dr. Agnes, but Dr. Wilson was just as warm and caring as she gave me my results. I am also a huge fan of Insight Imaging because if a woman doesn't have insurance to cover their mammograms, there is no charge. read more

i had a very through and positive experience at Insight imaging. Dawn provided a very thorough mammogram with some welcomed sass and education. It's obvious she has been doing this a long time and takes her job seriously. It was followed by a very thorough and friendly ultrasound. I appreciate their kindness and instant results. With a very strong familial line of breast cancer and one of my family members being diagnosed just last week it was comforting and thorough. I was very nervous about getting a mammogram. When I came to this office, right away I felt comfortable. The office is extraordinary. It is beautiful. They see you promptly. Absolutely no waiting. They explain everything. They make you feel important. It was nothing but a positive experience. I also got the results of my mammogram by the end of the day. Awesome! I have never had long waits at Insight Imaging. I also appreciate that the doctor generally meets with me immediately following imaging. I had two imaging procedures in the last couple weeks and both times I received informative calls with the results. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional. I've been going here since they first opened their doors! I hope they never leave this area because the service, people and doctor are fantastic. Prior to COVID19, you had your results within minutes with the doctor showing you the xrays in a private office. Now, you get a call within the hour with the results but knowing that quickly truly saves you the stress of not knowing for 2 weeks. Love it!! read more

I have gone to Insight Imaging several times for mammograms and bone density exams. They are punctual and efficient. I'm always surprised and pleased by how quickly I'm in and out! The staff are pleasant and kind. In non-Covid times the doctor reviews the exams with you before you leave. I've had my annual mammogram at Insight Imaging for many years. I've since moved from Nevada County to Sacramento and I still make the drive there. The front office people, the people that do the mammograms and DR's are all fantastic at what they do. Very friendly and professional. I'll continue making my annual trek back to Grass Valley.
