I was given a referral from VA Community Care to go to see Dr. Runte regarding a partially torn tendon in my foot. My first appt was at 8:00am Wednesday May 21st. I arrived 10 minutes early even after having an hour drive to this office. No one was there, but it was early. Someone may be running late, so I waited until 8:30am, I signed into their sheet up front and left. I get a call about 45 minutes later on my drive home and the office lady called me and apologized that the doctor had an emergency surgery scheduled the day before (Tuesday) and that they thought they called everyone to reschedule. I was irritated, but I understand things happen. I rescheduled for a day and time that I thought would work(Tuesday the 27th. Once I got home and had a chance to look over my calendar, I called back and rescheduled for Thursday the 29th at 11:45am. I was told when I showed up that they only had me down for Tuesday....she mentions she's going to ask the doctor if they can squeeze me in. Dr. Runte comes out to tell me they're going to try to squeeze me in, I ask about how long he thinks it'll be and with attitude he responds with "I don't know??" I told him not to bother. Should have taken my first sign to not come back. I'll take my chances with the VA. That should tell you something. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Front staff was rude and seemed bothered to have to do her job, which she can't do regardless. read more

As one moves through life, it includes bumps, injuries, sickness's, and all sorts of not so fun things. You look for competent people, businesses or organizations to help you along the way. It's rare enough to actually find a simply competent person like Dr. Runte in any field. It's extraordinary to find someone or a business that truly excels in knowledge of their field. Then if you add the rest of their organization being just as well organized, professional, pleasant and enjoyable to work with, you have Dr. Runte's office called Foothill Podiatry. I have only been using his services since 2021, but I feel so lucky to have found him. I have had to go in 6 times in this timeframe for different issues that have come up. These issues all have been dealt with knowledgeably, compassionately and with a understanding of how to interact with people. Dr. Runte, Nina, Tessa and Leslie are all great! Dr. Runte has another associate in his practice a Dr. Morgan Garcia, while my foot and ankle issues have all be taken care of by Dr. Runte so far, my interpersonal interactions with her have been very pleasant. Wish I could find another practice as knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant as this one. read more

I had an appointment Monday at foothill podiatry, to see Dr. Runte for a partial nail removal. I was very scared as I have a little phobia about my feet. When I arrived the waiting room was quite full and I started having an anxiety attack so I chose to wait outside as they had a little bench. Within a few minutes his nurse came out and talked with me, she cared enough to take the time I needed to stay calm. Dr. Runte was extremely gentle and I didn't feel a thing. If anyone ever needs podiatry care I HIGHLY recommend them. My foot is healing nicely. I'm very happy and great full for Dr. Runte and his staff. read more

As a new Patient, I was given a Bumb's rush at my appointment. I see the Reviews except one are rather old. Similar to the old building that appears to have no upgrades in the Waiting room(that photo must have been in another building) and Treatment room I was in. The Staff was friendly and welcoming...Dr. Runte was far from welcoming...it was lunch time..so I guess he was hungry. I have never been treated that way before...the parking is awful too. Unfortunately my PCP and Neighbor referred me..wait until they hear my story. .So I went for a second opinion and found a very professional doctor..good safe parking and lovely upgraded old building. As I mustered the courage to come back to this office after learning of my Drs wasnt able to see any patients, I was apprehensive. I had built a trusting relationship with my previous Dr.! I am happy to report, that I am grateful for the help, pain relief and guidance from my new Dr, Dr. Payne. He is good at listening, he comes to the table with knowledge and cares about your thoughts on your personalized treatments. I am a minimalist as far as drugs or treatments and we are working together to help my failing area and constant pain. I would recommend this group very much. A side Covid note, I feel that the staff are doing their best to keep their office, rooms and tools sanitized. They really do care. read more

I have been an employee for UPS for 30 yrs. I had to go on workman's comp. for a foot injury. My case was given to Dr. Payne @ the Foothill Podiatry Clinic. From my first visit to my day of surgery. I found a connection with Dr. Payne and his staff. Everyone was professional, helpful and more importantly caring. I sought out Dr. Runte as soon as we moved to this community, and saw him annually for the next 15 years. He took me for a same-day emergency and has been efficient and caring ever since. I have diabetes and he went through all the diabetes checks every time I saw him. There's not much to do with my feet, but he never stopped paying attention to them or me. After his partner went on leave he shouldered all the burden of their patients with great patience and grace. We have since moved away, but I wish he were here to take care of my feet. read more

Not ONLY did they make an availability for me 4 weeks sooner than anyone else could, but from the moment I walked through the front door and was greeted like family, I KNEW I was in the best possible hands I could be! That is not very common anymore unfortunately, and they all made me feel so comfortable and welcome! Dr Nate treated me as if we were old friends, and was so caring and patient! While most doctors have "one foot out the door" he took the time to explain everything to me in detail and validated any concern or question I had! After having a little accident at the gym with a 45lb plate, I was in need of seeing a foot specialist since my toenail was busted from the bed and a couple of my toes were pretty black. First let me start by saying this happened on a Sunday and I did not want to go to the E.R. I work in healthcare and I knew there had to be someone on call. I called Foothill Podiatry and Dr. Cook returned my call, on a Sunday, and advised me to come and see him first thing Monday morning. When I got there I could tell he was squeezing me in, but I never felt rushed, nor did I feel I was making him or his staff behind. They were all so pleasant, and Dr. Cook was amazing, super funny, knowledgeable and truly has been awesome in my recovery... Dr. Latter and his nurse are excellent! Very helpful and knowledgeable! BUT the staff/receptionists in the front are horrific. They sit behind the glass where we can all hear them clearly whining about being at work at 8:30 in the morning, cussing and more whining. Just so rude and catty. And then talking about a patient when she walks away after treating her rudely. They are so unprofessional and abrasive I thought about finding another doctor, but Dr. Latter is worth it! read more

Dr. Runte and his staff at Foothill podiatry have gone above and beyond in patient care. The office staff streamed lined the paperwork and worked tirelessly with my PCP and insurance to get the MRI Imaging report that wasn't in the referral as it was supposed to be. Dr.Runte took the time to go to the hospital and view the MRI himself to make sure that the report was accurate and called me early the next morning, just as he said he would. I am used to Doctors offices not following through with what they say and pushing the cattle effect, but not this office. You will be in good hands at Foothill Podiatry Clinic. read more
