I am completely happy with the treatment I've received at Body Logic. I recently had a reverse shoulder replacement surgery. The shoulder is a very complex joint! Dr. Haley Anderson has been brilliant in her course of treatment. She can massage the delicate shoulder muscles painlessly! Exercises have been easy to follow, and once used at home, show marked progress. I'm amazed how the flexibility and usefulness are returning. Body Logic has an excellent reputation in our community. I think the key to success is to schedule early (they're busy) and do those exercises at home! read more

I do not recommend Body Logic. I use to love Body Logic but it has switched owners and wow I will never return here. I only went twice and not only was it a waste of time, the PT which I will not name, couldn't figure out what was wrong with my knee but did give me exercises to complete during PT and the same at home which completely aggravated my knee and made the pain much worse. Even after calling the PT after the first visit with my concern of increased pain, I returned the second time without much, if any, change to what was done the first time. Luckily, I found a great PT in Nevada City and was diagnosed correctly on my first visit and given excellent care that has resolved the issue. read more

My sessions started off with a person that had no personality. As sessions went by she became more friendly. Then after a few more sessions she asked me if I wanted to quit coming(?) Supposedly she's the professional. My treatments kept getting shorter and finally lasted 10 minutes plus seven minutes on the bicycle. The last visit was even shorter and was refused the bicycle - I feel she gave up on me. I had a co-pay and was told they did not want to apply to my insurance carrier. I have unfortunately needed physical therapy more than once in the last few years. I have found the best place is Body Logic. They are easy to schedule appointments with, and I like how they text reminders the day before my appointment. Recently I had a complete reverse shoulder replacement. I have been seeing Hannah for my therapy, and she is awesome! Not only does she research and find different exercises for me to do at their facility for my particular need, but she also looks for creative ways for me to do different exercises at home. I have been going to Body Logic for a number of years. I came when I had issues with my Trapezius muscle, then again for a while for Pre- Total Knee Replacement surgery, and after having a knee replacement surgery. I had different PT's each time, and felt they all had been great. The professionals are awesome. However, I have to add my complaint to all the others in regards to the nasty Gatekeeper / Front desk / Office Manager named Danielle Mitchell. After reading all the previous reviews from others explaining how rude & demeaning she is, I finally got it! I came back after having yet another Total Knee Replacement surgery, for post surgical PT. This was part of my 2020 plan to have BOTH knee replacements and the recovery during the COVID year, since I could not travel any way. I came for my first post - surgical PT appointment on December 7, 2020. When I handed her a copy of my ID card, I also handed her a paper with the phone number to get a Authorization from my insurance (Anthem Blue Cross) for additional visits. She all of a sudden turned very rude & told me they "don't do authorizations" and that "the owner made a decision to no longer call for authorizations". I told her that it was just a formality, since I just had Total Knee Replacement Surgery, that they would OK them. It only was because I used up my visits WITH THEM on the previous knee surgery for this year. All they had to do is make ONE phone call, and I would follow up with my insurance. At this point, since I already paid my yearly out of pocket maximum, all services for the rest of the calendar year will be paid by my insurance at 100%, and my copay is ZERO!! She became adamant and when I told her I had been going there a long time, she could care less! I asked her to make sure and tell the owner that a longterm patient was left behind and will NEVER come back there, her reply was, "Yea ok, I'll tell him we are going to lose THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars because you aren't coming back". (Condescending Bi#$H!). When I got home I called back and asked her to please have the owner call me. She was all sweet and nice over the phone, but I'm sure she never told the owner, and I never received a call or email. Maybe a negative review will get the owner's attention? Probably not, as I read over and over again that this Office Manager has a horrible reputation, and she is still working there. BUT, guess what will get his attention....I happen to be a successful health insurance agent, and I filed a complaint with the Blue Shield & Blue Cross association. As an in-network provider of the "Blue Card " program, they are REQUIRED to follow the protocol of obtaining pre-authorization for their patients whose insurance dictates it. If they don't they are in peril of losing their provider contract. They will be looking into this and if the provider continues to ignore their contracted provision, they will cancel their contract. I am guessing if they no longer get to be in-network providers for any of the "Blue" providers (Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross, or the Blue Card program with any Blue Cross or Blue Shield providers of any state), then they will lose a LARGE number of patients who don't want to pay out-of-network copays, because the Blue Shield and Anthem Blue Cross carriers are the largest health insurance network in Nevada County. Maybe a loss of patients and a loss of income will make the difference at some point to the owner to maybe take notice of what is happening behind his back with his own employee sabotaging his business. As of January 1 2021 I have full 24 visits again. I just needed them to place one phone call for December visits. But will I go back in January? Hell to the NO! If they refuse to do the right thing, then they don't get my business. No matter how wonderful their Docs are! Unhappy to have to find a new PT provider, but you can't have this attitude and keep customers (patients) in this small town! read more

I would give the therapists a five, but not the business. Reprehensible Customer Relations. The office Manager Danielle Mitchell, does not stand behind her promises to customers. This is an abbreviated version: After a total hip replacement in 2015 I needed physical therapy, and was told by Body Logic that they had a contract with Aetna, my health insurance. They copied my card and at no time during the months that I was there did they say that they did not accept it. After receiving an invoice for the full amount of $1400, Danielle assured me that they accepted Aetna, that it was a glitch and she would resubmit the claim. After getting more full amount invoices - and no return calls from Danielle - the staff then told me that they had never accepted Aetna and Danielle denied telling me they did. I had written copious notes, including the times, of my contact with her and other staff, so I knew that this was a lie. Even though I hired an attorney, I ended up paying half of what was owed, or $700 (email dated 27 January 2016), instead of the $280 that I would have had to pay under my insurance plan. The owner, John Sievert, stood behind Danielle, even though I did have those notes, and even though there had been previous complaints. I agreed not to post to social media, however I just found out that on 9 September 2014, Jerry Brown signed Bill 2365 which precludes any such "non-disparagement" agreement, so I am now writing this complaint. read more

My physical therapist, Nate was excellent, knowledgeable, great listener, and gave me exercises that built hip strength, reduced the pain to the point of less visits needed. Casey and Andrew are amazing assistants for pilates. One receptionist was rude, incompetent, rarely answered the phone, didn't receive multiple faxes sent by my orthopedic surgeon, and put unnecessary stress on myself and others I have spoken with and totally acted without any compassion for my situation. Hard to understand where the weak reviews are coming from. I had nothing but the BEST experience with Body Logic. After breaking my femur, surgery with Rod/Pin, I was recommended by the head PT at Mammoth Lakes Hospital to seek out this group. Chelsea was my therapist (PHD) and she was super sharp and knew exactly what had to be done to get me back to my VERY active lifestyle. Roger was my other therapist and he is very knowledgeable and an all around nice guy. All of the assistants were very good, too. I am a 75 year old woman with spinal stenosis. I have been very happy with my physical therapist. She has helped me a lot. However, the office manager, Danielle has put a stop to my sessions. I am in my second session with my therapist and she claims there isn't a doctor's approval from the 1st session (there is). So instead of correcting the problem she gives me a yelling and frantic phone call saying I can't come back until I straighten the problem. I can't believe that an office manager wouldn't quietly contact the doctor's office. She really gives the place a black eye and leaves me without therapy. I am a huge believer in physical therapy. After receiving PT in West Sacramento, chronic pain in my shoulder and wrists was relieved. So when I was referred to Body Logic by my doctor for help with my knee pain, I anticipated good results. Although I still have knee pain, I don't blame Body Logic, because my pain may be due to a problem that can not be helped through PT. I saw three different therapists during my short time there. They ranged from fair to excellent, so the two star rating isn't due to my PT, despite feeling deferred to support staff more often than not. Most of the staff was fine, but since the office staff and the therapist support staff seems to change on a regular basis, it's hard to say. One person didn't change, and she is almost the sole reason that I can not recommend this place. Her name is Danielle, and she is the office manager. Danielle is one of those people who shouldn't be providing customer support. When I was going in as a patient, she never failed to make me feel un-welcomed and an inconvenience. She exudes attitude. She doesn't listen. She has a "can't do" attitude. She does not know how to diffuse a situation. From a customer service perspective, there isn't one good thing I can say about her. In my case, I had a billing dispute. I was sure that I was paid up when I left, but I've been receiving past due notices from their billing department (in Georgia, of course). I tried calling the billing department first but didn't have any success fixing the problem, so I called Body Logic. They told me to call the billing department. After looking up my Visa statements and comparing them to the past due notices, I finally determined part of the problem (a payment applied to a date in the future). I left messages with the billing department, but they weren't returning my call, so I stopped by Body Logic. I was told there was no one there who could help. They said they would give Danielle a message, and she would get back to me. Never happened. Meanwhile, the dates on the past due statements were changing, and I was having a hard time making heads or tails of what was going on. Finally, I went into Body Logic again today to try to get my bill straightened out once and for all. I don't recognize any of the office staff except Danielle. Honestly, the rest of the staff could not have been more friendly. I get the feeling they have trouble retaining friendly faces behind the counter. Maybe they pay crap wages and Danielle is the only one stupid enough to stay? Maybe they can't stand working with such an asshole? Just theory and conjecture, but I'd wager it's a combination of those things. I presented my case to the first non-Danielle staffer. She directed me to Danielle. Danielle didn't listen long before dishing out the attitude. So, from the get go, I was pissed. Then she told me I was wrong. Then she started complaining about my children and how she had to take a call outside because they were so disruptive. Then lots of what she couldn't do. She couldn't print the Visa Statements that I emailed because their internet was down. She couldn't contact her boss, because he wasn't available. She COULD NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME AT ALL. I finally paid the money they claimed I owed just to make it go away. I feel disrespected and ripped off by Body Logic. If I felt like they had their act together, I would feel more inclined to believe the mistake was on my part. But they clearly don't know what they are doing. For the lousy choice of office manager and lousy choice of billing support, they would get 0 stars. Balanced out by the half-hearted effort of the rest of the staff, brings them up to a reluctant 1 stars. read more

Went here for Physical Therapy, therapists are nice But the Front Office Manager and secretary with hair down to the rear do not abide by the CDC rules therefore do Not wear a mask, Manager Danielle is rude and was inconsiderate of me as a patient. I can't afford to get the Virus or my husband won't make it with kidney disease and I have a damaged lung. She did not care by not wearing her mask and offered to just cancel all appts. I know that those in the medical field have to wear a mask to protect the patients. My Doctor got me out of there right away when she found out. They do not enforce others to that go there for therapy to wear a mask. We now know that the mask protects us 50% and when the other wears it you have 100% at least with the nose and mouth. This is no joke, this is a matter of life and death for many. I am surprised the Manager still has a job there. read more

This has been my second time going to Body Logic for physical therapy. Most recently it was for a "tennis elbow" issue. Marcella Scholl was my therapist and I could not have been happier with the results. I love all of the support staff as well. They were very professional, courteous and friendly. Nate Tanney helped me strengthen my shoulder pre-surgery and my post-op range of motion is almost at 100 percent due to Marcella Brown's expertise. Magic... Well that is what it feels like when you can see mobility improvement after one session. Thank you Jack I feel confident my care is in excellent hands. John treated me several years back for a different horse riding accident that caused pain in my lower back. I had tried chiropractic, acupuncture and yoga none of which made the pain go away. The exercises that John prescribed did the trick. It felt like a miracle as I was in pain for more than a year before A friend recommended Body Logic. I had total knee replacement and the PT that I received here was very caring and professional. I had the sense that all I had contact with had a deep knowledge of how to treat my condition. Have been a client at Body Logic for 4 years. The physical therapists are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, fantastic in diagnosing and treating you. They are all trained in palates as well as being having a Masters or PHD in physical therapy so they work with you in strengthening to prevent further injury. The aids are also great in assisting you. I have chronic back problems and Lori Sams and Back class keeps me moving, drug free with minimal discomfort. The office is well run and efficient at scheduling and billing ... everyone with a smile a good humor. My husband and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for treatment. read more
