I sprained my left ankle in January of 2025. After x-rays, I had an estimate from urgent care that…read moreI'd be "feeling better" in 3-4 weeks. A month later, I still couldn't walk or put pressure on my ankle. I was still in a ton of pain. I was icing and elevating and taking it easy, but hadn't returned to any sense of normalcy. I got an MRI and a referral to PT and chose Radius based on a bunch of word-of-mouth referrals around town. I ended up being paired with Dr. Austin Van Poole. I let him know that I'm a mom of two young kids and a musician who has a super intense performance style of dancing around a ton, typically in wild outfits and tall shoes. The first time we met, Austin used his thumb to dig out a ton of scar tissue in my ankle. I call it "excavating" and it was a bizarre blend of both excruciating and super relieving. Austin jokingly said "this is the part where people want to punch me". The craziest part was the following day I could actually walk with flex-motion in my ankle in a way I hadn't even come close to before. Every time we met, Dr. Austin would continue to do this excavating of scar tissue and it was so helpful and relieving for my injury and helped my healing exponentially. He helped loosen up the tightness in my calf, hamstring, and hip that (maybe was there to start pre-injury?) but definitely got way worse with overcompensation from the injury. Happy to report I'm back to dancing around on stage, working out at the gym, chasing after my children and feeling good. I 100% attribute all my health and healing to Radius. Really grateful for their support, their senses of humor, clear communication and patient-centered care.

Though it will take some time until I am completely healed, I am well on my way because of the exercises they have had me do. It is important to be diligent and do your homework, not just depend on doing your work in the office! In no time hopefully you will feel relief as I have since going there. I passed on the toxic joint destroying cortisone shot at primary care. That is a lazy person solution to a problem that does not properly retrain muscles. So stoked for have them assist my healing and I think of them as the biggest cheerleaders on my road to recovery!

He did not give me good instructions or feedback, provided no paperwork or video to go home with, put me on a machine and told me he would be back in 10 minutes and he never came back! I got passed on to an aide. Very disappointing. I did the two exercises that Jeremy recommended that night and they were way too much for my 7 day surgical hip to handle!! Due to that, my hip was so sore and inflamed that I had to go back to Ibuprofen and all of my previous progress in walking was ruined!!!! I was very angry about that. I requested a call from Jeremy and when he did call, he did not apologize or appear to care much. What a disastrous experience! I would give a more negative rating if one were possible. Don't go to this Physical Therepist office. Find one that is professional and caring.

I recently had a work related injury and am presently going to them. Initially when I finally got…read moreapproved for Physical Therapy (PT), I went to schedule an appt at "Another" PT place in Oroville. They were booked for over a week. With this, I thought if they are that booked, when will they fit Me in their schedule? So I was able to make an appt. here sooner, and so glad I did. In 2 sessions, my injury has been the best since the late May injury! I had done multiple things to try to heal thyself but progress slow. I really feel I have a jump start on healing with the ultrasound they used, manual massage and exercises the PT provided for me to do. I will keep up with my homework and looking forward to the future sessions to literally get me back on my feet to walk, and hike like I had prior to my injury. The PT was thorough with examination, open minded of the work I have done on my own to heal, and super with therapy. I am so happy I found Pillsbury to help heal my injury! They are wonderful! BRAVO!
