Not sure what was wrong with my husband's leg but he had vein problems and DVT's in the past so he…read morewas referred to Dr. Maldanado, who by the way, is no longer a surgeon. The staff is wonderful, beyond helpful. My husband had an ultrasound done at the office and then a CT was ordered by his primary and his primary referred us back to Maldanado to get results from the CT scan. While the CT scan results did indicate that there were masses, Maldanado didn't go over the results with us, instead he said "You have Cancer there's nothing I can do. God Bless you and Good Luck" and walked out. It was shocking and hurtful. We left baffled and confused. Luckily, my husband's primary was more forthcoming and compassionate. Again, the staff is wonderful. Dr. Maldanado should retire.

I was referred to Dr. Maldonado for the specific problem of swelling, inflammation, and pain in my lower left leg and ankle, which I made very clear to him in my first appointment. After an ultrasound, he told me I needed 5 procedures of foam injections into the veins of my legs. We were standing at the reception desk and I asked him a direct question about cost of the procedures. His response was "we have a special relationship with Medicare" and my cost would be nothing. The receptionist chimed in that office visits cost me nothing. Being on a fixed income I agreed to the treatments. After 5, 40 minute, in office, very painful and traumatic experiences, my legs look worse than they ever have. These injections had zero effect on my original problem of swelling, inflammation, and pain in my lower left leg and ankle. Dr. Maldonado's response to that? "Not everything is a vein problem". Really?! Then why did I just go through 5 apparently unnecessary procedures? And the cost? Medicare was billed $12,000 per 40 minute procedure ($300 per minute) for a total of $60,000 and no cost to me? I was billed and am out of pocket $1,800. Zero stars.

This surgery center and staff are the best "hospital" medical care team I have ever had, and I have had a lot of surgeries. Dr. Thomas was my ENT surgeon, and he is wonderful too.

I was immediately at ease after the nurse brought us back. She was so kind to both of us. I was so impressed with how the whole team handled things, very clearly experienced with children his age. After taking his liquid sedative, they allowed my son to choose a toy which he got to keep. He played with that as thd medicine set in, and we finished paperwork. I got to meet every member of the team working on my son. I was especially happy to know they had an anesthesiologist who regularly works with peduatric patients (something I've feared would be difficult to find in this area). I waited in the lobby during the procedure, and I was notified when the procedure had begun, and how things went to start. The dentist (Dr. Hagele) came out when thd procedure ended to update me and say it went well. Finally, thd nurses came to get me so I'd be there when my son woke up. They wheeled us put on a wheel chair so I could hold him on the way to the car, and even provided a certificate acknowledging his missing teeth from the Tooth Fairy. My son has absolutely ZERO memory of me leaving the room, or even having a procedure. He thinks the medicine the gave him before I left magically made his bad teeth go away and gave him crowns! He even asked if we can go back to this dentist instead of our regular dentist who referred us! I'm so impressed with our experience here. I couldn't recommend it more!
