While accidents can and do happen, at a minimum I would have expected a waiver for the fees for the visit, some kind of healing or ant-scarring ointment, and a follow-up call a few days later to see how/if it is healing. So, if you don't mind getting billed every month for 6 months after you've been lead to believe that your bill for a simple shot of b-12 was paid in full by their own billing staff, then by all means go and take this journey w/ them. You won't be glad you did in the end (bill is $450 and growing). BUYER BEWARE is the best advice that I can give ... at least for now b/c I'm still dealing w/ these knuckleheads. I had an appointment today to get a simple cortisone shot in my shoulder. The staff informed me…read morethat the procedure would cost over $1,000. I've had cortisone shots in the last several years that were between $100-$200. Of course, the staff did not bother to tell me of the increase prior to my arrival and I had to wait for 45 minutes for Rezac to appear to try and explain this ridiculous increase in price. She had no viable answer whatsoever. So within 6 months the new guard at Tahoe Forest Sports Medicine has quadrupled the price of a simple one minute shot in the arm. Not the same shop as when Nina Winans was there. Nina actually knew what she was doing and did not cheat people out of their money. After I left, I called the Reno Orthopedic Center. They charge $130 for a cortisone shot!! Do NOT trust the staff, Including Rezac, at TF Sports Medicine. Now that Nina is gone, I will never go back. These clowns should be ashamed of themselves for destroying Nina's practice.

Reno DR's are telling me these two diseases are dangerous Dodd said they aren't. My husband has to have now pain injections due to Dodd causing the loss of my business. My husband now has to work two jobs and he's now having major back problems? No answer from Jeffery Dodd. His last answer was to contact Shelly Smith at CAP his insurance I did she avoided me this is their pattern. He has lawsuits against him and he's now trying to bully another doctor out of Truckee who has a sterling reputation. Claims he wasn't on Tahoe Forest Hospital's board, but Janet Van Geldar claimed he was at the time he said he wasn't. This man is a liar, a coward and a danger to patients and society shouldn't have a license. He gave me a complete failed surgery and two diseases with no cure and avoids all responsibility as well as his staff. Left me in a hospital and his partner on call told Saint Mary's to deal with it. Yes, he's a doctor still injuring patients. TFH is compliant and his excuse maker is Janet Van Geldar(cares about money not patients, gets sarcastic when proved wrong) she's head of quality control. Harry Wies head of TFH is the figure head and makes $523,000.00 a year, charged $50,000.00 to my insurance. Giving me a failed surgery within two days and two incurable bacteria for life then reversing the charges after I confronted what he and Dodd did. Using Van Geldar when he makes massive mistakes. The only reason they did was to discount their culpability for what they've done.He can't take time to contact the patient's lives he's ruining in every way, but he can give plenty of interviews when it suits him and brag about himself. Some of his own employees who found me say directly he not only does this to patients he does this to the hospital staff he's unaccountable and checked out. Weis needs to wake up, protect patients or resign and stop taking the money.

Their surgeons (I worked with Dr. Ringnes but Dr. Dodd was also very helpful) are conservative and didn't try to race down the path to surgery like some doctors. They quickly got me the information I needed through a CT scan on my knee and into an effective splint. All told, this is a great office. They work hard to get you on the road to recovery quickly.
