I have had weekly massage therapy for a good 10 years and have years (accumulated) of physical therapy. I have been seeing Zoe for about 2 months now and I say with experienced perspective that she is absolutely exceptional in her knowledge and skills to provide pain relief. I also see what is the best physical therapist I have been to in Sparks, twice a week. Zoe and my PT do many of the same processes, each validating the other. Zoe has extensive (and impressive) knowledge of how the body's structures work together for function and health, and she knows what to do to mitigate pain and discomfort that result from use, misuse, and injury. I cannot imagine a better, more knowledgeable, or more relief producing massage therapist. Dana does Ashiatsu massage, which means foot pressure if i remember correctly. She has a couple poles attached parallel to the table from the ceiling with another silk rope for balance. Very cool set up. So the initial 30 minutes (or so), she spent breaking up all of the driving and sitting at work knots i had with her feet. I initially thought she was in with her elbows, but it was softer. Either way... I'm not sure what really occurred in my body, but i was literally weeping at times over the next two days (and i don't weep). A friend asked me whats wrong at one point in the weekend, and I'm like... nothing. Guess i just released something. So amazing... no major pain, just broke it all up, and left me extremely peaceful. She shares space with the Bikram studio... very clean space. Can be a little hard to locate her, but she can guide you in. Thanks again Dana!

After thousands of treatments (acupuncture,rolfing,massage...) You name it ,I have already tried it,good friend of mine mentioned Dr Barry to me. I've been told I'm suffering from herniated disc,and been living in pain for the past 4 years.I aggravated it again seven months ago and ever since then I've been living in pain 24/7.So I have decided there's nothing else to lose so let's go and see Dr. Barry. I think it took him 7 1/2 minutes to figure out what's wrong with my body. He gave me exercises and the reference to do an MRI just in case. He was so sweet to send me messages during week to see how my progress is going and how am I dealing with my pain. For someone who's that busy and still manages to find time to check on his patients is amazing. It's been week and a half since I've started doing those exercises and already feeling much better. It is just so nice being able to wake up in the morning and looking forward to pain-free day. Don't know how to say thank you enough.If you already tried everything and you think there's no way out I would absolutely recommend Dr. Barry!!! read more

For 48 years I have been in pain daily from falling 30 feet and landing sitting. Dr. Barry is the best healer, he and his ART keep me out of pain better than anything else I have tried. After 3 sets of PT for my shoulder and my knee with no pain relief in three years I tried ART. After only 2 months of seeing Dr. Barry both issues were pain free as long as I continue regular appointments and the 5 minutes of exercise he gave me a few times a week. I worked with my hands all my life and Dr. Barry also has the best hand work, I no longer need to sleep with hand/ wrist braces. I have been Rolfed had 30 years of Feldenkrais tried Aston Patterning, Somatics, Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Quantum Energetics, conventional Chiropractic, Atlas Orthogonal, Magnets, Far Infrared, Steam Saunas, Yoga, Weight Lifting, Swimming, Organic Beds, and a Physiatrist, MD with narchotics medications. I saw Dr. Barry Triestman for Active Release Therapy. He really helped me with a long lasting ankle injury, and also some regular aches and pains caused by high mileage running and other regular exercise. Within 24 hours after every one of my appointments with him, the discomfort disappeared. Dr. Barry was also great at helping me schedule appointments in appropriate time intervals so as to best help with upkeep for the milder but more regular discomforts associated with endurance sports. He is very knowledgeable in his field and also showed me exercises to do at home to better help myself which I did incorporate into a daily routine. Dr. Triestman is exceptional. He listens. He takes the time to determine what you need, and does not just apply a formula. I have low back problems which are made worse by my work environment and air travel. Dr. Triestman uses a blend of ART (active release therapy) and chiropractic treatment which have enabled the healing process even while I keep working. He also provides some very good guidance on exercises which help strengthen the core muscles necessary for good back support. If you need help for pain or an injury in Truckee California. Dr. Triestman, an expert in chiropractic, active release technique, physical therapy and rehab is your man. He helped to alleviate my elbow pain very quickly. Dr, Barry also helped my wife's Carpal tunnel syndrome which allowed her to return to training to be able to compete in the Ironman.. Great care, the combination of active release technique ( a soft tissue technique that works on muscles, ligaments and tendons), chiropractic adjustments and Pilates based rehabilitation are a powerful combination to get you better! I couldn't recommend a health care provider more. I've been suffering from worsening low back pain for several years. I've seen many doctors including other chiropractors, a sports med Dr., a pain mgmt. Dr., an orthopedic surgeon, several massage therapists, etc.. Nothing was working and as time passed, the activities I could perform was dwindling and I figured that I was just going to have to live with the pain forever and that skiing, running, jumping etc. were forever off the table. Then I met Dr. Colpitts. The first visit he performed a thorough review of my history, looked at MRIs and did a physical exam. I had been told by other doctors that my pain was caused by degenerative disc disease, and the MRIs backed up that theory. Michael saw things differently and told me he thought my pain was the result of problems with my sacrum and treatment proceeded. After just 2 or 3 visits, using the S.O.T. technique, I started to get real pain relief and after 5 weeks or so, I am moving better each day and back to doing CrossFit primarily pain free. The treatments I am receiving from Dr. Colpitts have changed my life and I am very grateful to have met him.

Then he did a variety of stretches and worked in the deeper spaces between muscles and skeleton, explaining each step of the way what he was doing. He then showed me some exercises I could do on my own and me video record them on my phone so I could practice after I left his office. Thanks to Dr. Walsh, I felt like a new woman the very next day. I wish I lived there so I could have regular tune-ups with him! It's good to know that he's a "homeboy" with a special gift of art and science, because I go to North Tahoe twice a year and will call him if I ever injure myself again. I live in San Francisco, but spent the summer in Truckee and I had been experiencing a severe amount of pain in my neck and shoulder. I had had a trip to urgent care and was prescribed some prednisone which one it wore off the pain came back. The amount of pain that I was in was worse than anything that I had experienced in my life and the only way to manage it was heavy pain medication. I had a pinched nerve and a bulging disc at C5 and C4. Also I became unable to lift my shoulder more than 90°. My first visit Jared did a very thorough evaluation with different kinds of muscle testing and recommended some traction exercises to help me create some space in my vertebrae. These exercises only take me three minutes a day and I do believe are helping create more space between my vertebrae and free up the pressure on my nerves. We got the pain under control pretty much immediately through the acupuncture. Today I've been pain free for about 3.5 weeks. Can't tell you how amazing it is to be out of pain after being in so much pain for nearly 6 months. My life had become seriously altered due to chronic pain. I was unable to sleep on my side, my sleep was seriously disturbed and reading books or snuggling with my children became nearly impossible. Even after returning to San Francisco I actually made the 3.5 hour drive (one way) a couple of times to Truckee just to see Jared. I really believed in what he was doing. Every healthcare professional that I have seen, another acupuncturist, physical therapist recommended by my doctor, a chiropractor, and bodyworker told me that it was probably going to take a very, very long time before I would regain movement in my shoulder. On my last visit up to Truckee I saw Jared another two times in a row, this would've been my fourth and fifth visit. The morning after my fifth visit I was able to move my arm all the way up 180°. I was completely and utterly shocked. After various treatments, with multiple healthcare providers, sometimes I would think that I was seeing a degree or two of improvement but I never expected to see something like this. I can tell it's not yet perfect but I'm going to make another day trip, if you can believe it, just to see Jared to see if we can get it there all the way.
