Very good pizza, very pretty restaurant (2.5/5 Green Stars)
Inside Out is a busy place, but we got a table without a reservation, in the upstairs mezzanine area on sofas. The décor is very pretty, with good use of bamboo, paper blossoms, lights and candles. Service was slow but friendly. I got my namesake pizza - with Boyne Valley blue goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, pesto and black olives. Good crust and very nice flavors - a tad salty tasting but that's not too surprising with a blue cheese. Would definitely come back to try the falafel.
I'm giving Inside Out 2.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons:
* The main downside is that the menu is dominated by meat options - we need to drastically reduce meat intake if we have any chance of saving this planet!
* I will give them props for making an aquafaba tzatziki (a what?!) to go with the falafel. The chef/cooks are talented, so it would be great to see more innovative plant-based food like this. A vegan pizza would be good to see, too, of course.
* Also, the restaurant supports local businesses, like Newgrange Gold oil, Boyne Valley blue goat cheese, Slane Whiskey, and local root vegetables. read more
