I had a really positive experience this morning with Gary, who offers on-site full auto detailing. I wasn't actually looking for detailing services at the time, but I had just noticed some tree sap stuck on the hood of my car and was worried about potential damage to the paint. Gary kindly took the time to explain what was happening with the paint, how sap should be safely removed, and what to avoid. He didn't just offer advice -- he generously did a spot treatment right then and there. He even lightly buffed out a scrape I've been driving around with for a couple of years. The whole interaction was professional, informative, and genuinely helpful. Gary comes across as a humble, knowledgeable gentleman who clearly takes pride in his work and in helping people. Didn't take care of the vents, didn't clean out the cup holder or anything I honestly could've gotten this kind of job at local car wash tbh didn't steam the seats or anything like it wasn't really any professional detailing involved very disappointed I feel finessed. read more

Found this guy from a flyer my sister had, the prices ranged from $35-$70+. I requested work that required possible steam cleaning but Gary the detailer assured me that he was able to get it done without those tools. I was charged $125. My car which is a used 2013 Kia soul had some problematic areas that I'm well aware of , but I looked for a detailer that could get into those small problematic areas regular car wash employees usually miss. Unfortunately there were tons of areas & dust spots in plain view! The vent was dusty and completely not wiped down. Doors barely wiped down, smudges in windows & interior. I was genuinely better off going to a regular car wash. Paid way too much for way too little work. He was a gentleman and was nice when I voiced my concerns and did come back to fix some issues.. unfortunately the price for what I paid still was not worth it. His regular prices would have made more sense and would have been more understandable. I will chuck this as a loss on my end read more

Gary did a FANTASTIC job on our Prius! We had gotten it detailed twice before... Once when we first bought it used 5 years ago. Then again a couple years later. I thought my previous detail jobs were good... But they were barely mediocre compared to what Gary did for our car! We have never been too concerned with how clean our car was as long as it was liveable. Unfortunately after my mom's puppy and my son's eraser shavings, coupled with the sopping umbrellas during the past storms, the condition became deplorable!!! The smell of the combination of those factors was as if something crawled under a seat and died! Thankfully Gary arrived early, spent around 2 1/2 hours, and left us with a car that was like we just drove it off the lot!! Don't fear Gary's location. He's mobile! My car lives in Walnut Creek. I happen to see him after he was coming from a job in Dublin. It was a spontaneous call, (he answered right away) as I noticed the sign on his car. I had been struggling finding someone local to book an appointment, drop it off etc It was proving too much for my busy schedule. Best decision to call Gary!! Pretty much everything I read on these other reviews are dead on my experience. Getting in touch with Gary and agreeing on a day good for BOTH of us is kinda a chore, but man when he gets there and does his thing its amazing and worth the wait. My dog exploded diarrhea in my car on the floor mats and on the seats getting all in the cracks and crevices, nooks and nannies, orifices and openings, it was terrible man. Gary got in there and in 1.5 hours it looked like a new car and the smell was completely gone in 2 days. He's good.......real good. read more

The good: Gary did a great job on the interior cleaning, which included scrubbing my front seats. It was raining that day, so he offered to return to complete the exterior wash. He lowered his original asking price (from $125 to $75; I tipped him $25), to accommodate my budget. The bad: He opened compartments and a bag that was inside my glove compartment (it had money in it and he placed other items inside)--a huge invasion of privacy and super unprofessional. The quality of work in vacuuming, cleaning, washing, waxing and detailing was awesome! I had requested the detailing of 2 cars at my home home and I was very pleased and satisfied with the outcome. Well he finally showed up. Claimed he had no memory of selling the gift certificate. Did a so-so job; she could have gotten a better job at the local carwash for $25 and I paid $200!!! Then he tried to sell her additional services (really, the $200 should have covered EVERYTHING). I knew my car needed to be washed and inside needed to be vacuumed, and I had been putting it off for months... so I decided to pay someone to do it!! I just searched for an auto detailing place on yelp and Inside and Out was the first one that popped up. I gave Gary a call and asked if he was available. He came to my place and got all his gears started and ready to go!! I just had a regular wash on my car. I was doing my own things inside the house while he was working on my car. 45 minutes later, the exterior is spotless and the interior is cleaned and vacuumed!! Gary has been cleaning all of my vehicles for over 5 years now. You can't beat the price AND he comes to your home. How great is that? I have gone to car cleaners and paid 25.00 for the "full service" and had to sit and wait for a half hour and they have done a quick job and thrown the mats back in and left streaks on the windows and done a marginal job. For a few dollars more Gary comes to my home so I am not inconvenienced, takes the time to vacuum the trunk, clean windows inside and out, put the floor mats back where they belong, clean the seats, take trash out, put air freshener in the car, he just does a great job and he works around your schedule. I saw one negative review about how he finally showed up. With anything in life you have to be flexible because he is with me. As he finishes a job he comes to my home. Sometimes a job runs long so he gives me a window of when he will be here..again I am at home and not sitting at a car wash waiting. It doesn't get more convenient than Gary. He is friendly, outgoing, and consistent. I haven't been to a car wash in years and I won't go back. Gary rocks so give him a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

I never do reviews, but I don't think this guy deserves an overall rating of five stars. In fact, if I could give less than one star I would since nothing was even done to my car. I called Gary this week on Sunday and scheduled an inside and out detail for today, Wednesday, at 8am. He actually sounded excited to do it and was very nice on the phone which was great. He told me to text him my address which I did, but I didn't get a reply or a confirmation of receipt. Wednesday morning arrives and I text him at 7:41am and tell him where my unit is. He proceeds to call me back sounding like he just woke up (speculation). He asks me who I am, when my appointment was, what car I had, where I was located and what kind of service I was getting. He then gave me his excuse which was something along the lines of having issues with his schedule because he totalled two vehicles and he has been in a fog. He asked when I was available another time to which I responded, "I'm not sure, I'd have to check my schedule". He then asked if he could come by later today, but I declined because I had to go to school. There is a reason I even have a mobile detailer come to my home. I work full time and go to school full time and am very busy. I gave up on this particular detailer at that moment and told him I would check my schedule and call him back when I find time again. I hopped in the shower. I get out of the shower about 20 minutes after 8. I see that I have missed calls and text messages. After telling Gary I would call him back, he proceeded to call me back two times in a row. Then there are two text messages asking if I was in Vallejo and then one saying he is outside of my house. I get dressed to go and look. It's raining outside and there is no one there. My question is: if, when I spoke to him before 8, he could have been to my house in a matter of minutes, why ask me to reschedule? Why not tell me I'll be right there? Seems a little shady to me. I try to get my car detailed every 6 months and am still looking for a detailer who is both good at what they do and who can at least show up when they are supposed to without me having to follow up like a manager. When I find that detailer, they will have one loyal customer and a good yelp review. read more
