We chose to work with a local company, even though they were not on our insurance's preferred vendor list. We knew that while the project may take longer than if we worked with a large corporate company, we felt would get more individualized attention, they would be working for us instead of for the insurance company, and the quality of work would be better. All this proved to be the case. The communication with the Kapi team was fantastic - keeping us updated every step of the way. Adam advocated for us with our insurance company, worked with us on changes and upgrades we wanted to work into the rebuild, and offered honest advice in decision-making. His team of skilled workers delivered high quality results and were friendly and helpful. The office staff were kind and accommodating and helped make all the paperwork and logistics flow so smoothly, even handling things with our mortgage company - this was such a gift in a stressful season. Our rebuild took about 1 year, but it was worth the wait because our home is now better than it was before the fire. The tech that was sent out refused to repair a leak in my built in whirlpool tub drain stating parts were no longer available and I would need to replace the tub. So I then bought a tool needed to unscrew the tub drain strainer and used some new plumbers putty to reseal the drain, TUB FIXED. Also needed a 3/4 inch copper valve replaced and was given a quote of $341.00. I decided that was way to high and I would do the job myself. The total work time for me was 25 minutes and $14.00 for the valve. In effect I was to be charged over $600 per hour labor by the plumber!

The test showed high levels of Pen/Asp mold group in the master bedroom but the other company was unable to come back for almost two weeks and could not provide an exact quote until they came back. Due to my autoimmune issues and the symptoms I was having, we did not want to wait that long. That is when we contacted weDry. I was very overwhelmed due to the situation and first spoke with Amy, who was very kind and understanding. Even though she was professional, she made me feel comfortable, like I was talking to a friend instead of just a business. She was able to have someone out right away to do an inspection. When Mike came out to do the inspection, not only was he also kind and professional, he was extremely thorough. Pulling back the carpeting and padding in the closet, going up into the attic to look around, and even looking through all of the basement insulation. I was very impressed with the time and effort he put in to finding the source of the mold smell. WeDry was able to get a detailed quote back same day that showed a breakdown of every single expense so you know exactly where your money is going. I was also impressed by how quickly I would receive email responses from Amy or that she would touch base to see how I was doing. The cause of the mold ended up being due to an outside issue and our HOA stepped in to handle the repairs, using their own company. The business owner Tamer (Tim) was quick to respond and quick to schedule. He did a walk through of our home talking through future work planned. Our immediate job of laundry room remodel was quickly quoted and scheduled. Tim talked through the options and was very supportive of giving recommendations. Knowing our subfloor had leveling issues and was creaky we decided best was to go for full tile floors instead of keeping laminate / vinyl. We had subfloor work, new porcelain tile, beadboard accent wall, and new thresholds by R&R 360. We were given the freedom to choose our floor tiles locally.
