In addition to being one of the brightest and sharpest professionals I've had the honor of knowing, without question Dr. Yun is a living phenomenon within the Optometry Science. Her vast expertise, experience, knowledge and unwaivering commitment to her patients and local community, is not only top-notch, but literally inspiring! My most recent visit was a 'walk-in emergency.' There was no time to schedule an appointment. Nevertheless, I was emphatically overwhelmed by Dr. Yun's and her staff's quick and impressively skilled response to my 'urgent concern.' Dr. Yun and her highly-trained staff, which includes Len, Esther and Julianna, never fail to display a level of tireless dedication and enthusiasm, above-and-beyond attentiveness-to-detail, added with people and communication skills, that is nothing short of exemplary. Based upon my twenty-nine years as a supervisor for the Los Angeles Police Department and my personal observation as an extremely satisfied patient of Dr. Yun's, I am genuinely convinced the "Rowland Optometry" in Rowland Heights, is the best in the nation!

5/5 Stars -- Worth Every Mile from Irvine!…read more I've been coming to Diamond Bar Optometric Center for over six years, and I now drive all the way from Irvine just to see them, they are worth every mile. Unlike typical Irvine offices where customer service stops at the door and simple frame adjustments get itemized, this team delivers genuine, long-term personal care. You are never treated like just a number. Dr. Hoshi is a phenomenal dry eye expert and clinician. She explains complex eye health in plain English, covering everything from current options to future advancements. Unlike other places where your prescription is set and done, she took the time to explain how an inflamed cornea was causing my daily vision fluctuations and carefully calculated my astigmatism prescription to find the true midpoint rather than relying solely on a single day's measurement. That level of thoroughness, experience, and patient education sets her far apart. Angelina has an incredible eye for frame selection and knows exactly what flatters your face and personal style. Hali is a "gifted frame adjuster"--a true master of her craft! Her work goes far beyond a quick heat and bend; she custom molds frames to the contours of your head for a flawless fit. She is also fantastic at navigating complex insurance questions to maximize your benefits. Leah at the front desk is endlessly patient and accommodating with my scheduling changes and email inquiries. They also use the premier prescription lab and carry an outstanding selection of high-end lenses. I've gone to other places, and nothing compares - they provide the absolute best care and quality for your vision. This team sets the absolute gold standard for eye care and ongoing service. Am I invisible? Because that's how I felt ordering glasses from this Costco optical center…read more After getting my annual eye exam at the optometrist, I thought it would be convenient to just order glasses at Costco, right after my exam (I went to the optometrist who had an office inside the Costco). I started looking at glasses. The selection was ok, but not amazing. I wasn't too particular so I just picked a pair. When I turned to the kiosk for help, NONE of the workers seemed to be make any acknowledgement of me in any way. Finally I see that there was a ticket dispenser (like at a deli) and grab a ticket. Why couldn't ANY of the 4 workers in the kiosk just point to it and let me know? I stood around for about ten minutes being invisible until a number was called. Not my number, so I waited again. More time passed before they thought to call the next number as the previous number called never responded. When I finally got around to being helped, the staff member was fine. Polite, efficient. But by this time I was already annoyed. Waiting to be helped took longer than my actual eye exam. I paid and was told I would get a text when my glasses were ready and to just walk around to stand at the register with the sign so I didn't have to wait next time. Was she acknowledging that I was waiting around for an excruciatingly long time this time? No idea I get a text that my glasses are ready, which is nice. I go to the register with a sign and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. Omg did I put on my invisible outfit again? There were 2-3 people working on the kiosk. Only 1 was with a customer, the other 2, I have no idea what they were doing. I stood at the register waiting for more than ten minutes, before ANYONE even acknowledged me. What is UP with this lack of customer service?! I'm ok with waiting, as long as I'm being TOLD that they're busy and I need to wait. I don't appreciate or enjoy being IGNORED. There's a very specific system at the optical department, which is fine but be mindful of people just standing and staring. Say SOMETHING. Again, I was SO ANNOYED and irritated about the customer service that by the time I was being helped fit my glasses, I just wanted to leave. I think I was incredibly rude and dismissive of the tech, but I was so heated. I'm not expecting white glove service with staff fawning over me and helping me every step of the way. But also, DON'T ignore people. If a customer is standing and STARING, it won't hurt to say, we'll be right with you, or asking, do you need help? Even writing this review is getting me so mad and upset. I will NEVER go back to Costco optical. I'd rather buy expensive retail than deal with feeling this ignored and invisible.
