Came to Keith Teele, the hearing aid dispenser, because my mother-in-law's hearing aid was making a loud howling noise. He fixed it by inserting a plug in the hearing aid's vent hole. About 10 days later, the plug fell out and the howling started up again. And, now the other hearing aid was howling too. Came back to Keith, who fixed both devices by inserting plugs really deeply into the vent holes. After the second fix, it is highly unlikely that the plugs will just pop out like they did before, and so the howling is gone for good. I suggested to Keith that he should not charge for the second visit, since all he did was apply a fix that should have happened during the first visit. He became very offended and lectured me about how I would not have tried to get a free follow up visit at a doctor's office. I suggested that this was more like a car repair- where the mechanic would apologize for not fixing it right the first time and certainly would not charge for the second visit. It's called customer good will, Keith! Maybe you should try cultivating some? read more
