Our planner suggested At a Glance as an affordable videographer with plenty of skill, and we signed a contract. They delivered on every level. Stephanie and Hector were lovely to work with. I corresponded with Stephanie over email and met both of them on the morning of my wedding. They were friendly and ubiquitous but never got in the way. We got our DVD in the mail last week and were pretty impressed with the twenty-minute video. It was gorgeous and fun to watch, with an editorial quality we weren't necessarily expecting. I was worried for a minute that we'd gotten a professional edit in lieu of raw footage, but both raw footage and a short highlight video were present in the DVD's special features. There was almost an hour and a half of raw footage, covering all the important moments. The only small issue was that the audio was quiet during one part of the ceremony - we asked our friend to sing a song, and his voice didn't come across as well as we'd hoped in the video. That said, the mistake was on our end. We never told Stephanie that our friend would be singing, so they couldn't set up the audio. I wouldn't even mention this issue except to note that if you want anything out of the ordinary recorded in great audio, you should talk to your videographer. We were lazy about this, but thankfully, Stephanie and Hector captured all the other moments with remarkable clarity. We've watched our video a couple times now and are very happy with how it turned out. We will treasure this DVD for the rest our lives. I'd recommend At a Glance for your wedding without the smallest hesitation.

I really appreciated all the extra work they put in. 3. They also included an engagement session. The package was a very reasonable rate for the quality of the product and service. 4. They were professional throughout all the instances we met up, adjusting anything they had to, without being in our way or making us uncomfortable. A very nice, professional, and skilled team. As soon as my fiancé and I got engaged we established we wanted to prioritize paying for a full planning package with a wedding planner given our busy schedules. It was the absolute best decision we made going into a year of wedding planning. From our first meeting with Chabeli, she was super in tune with our desire to properly scale our wedding for a smaller event, somewhere around 50 guests, and to stay as close to our budget as possible. Her diverse vendor list helped us stick to one of our other priorities, to hire as many minority-owned small businesses as possible. When a dire family medical emergency came up just six months before our wedding date, when we expected to go in deep on wedding planning, Chabeli was super encouraging that she wouldn't bother us until we absolutely needed to make decisions, which allowed us to continue tending to our family needs full time. Come the final weeks before our wedding, Chabeli and her team kept on top of things we definitely didn't even realize we needed to take care of. Our wedding day ended up being an absolute dream. So many people told us they wanted to duplicate so many big and small details for their own nuptials!

"We wanted to say another enormous THANK YOU for making our wedding weekend the most perfect, seamless, and beautiful celebration. Going into the weekend, we already had such high expectations just having seen the amount of effort and attention that you all had put in for the planning portion- everything from florals to Taco Bell. And despite being advised by so many to stay present and ignore the things that don't go perfectly, and having Chabeli reiterate to us that come Thursday we shouldn't worry about a thing, I don't think either of us really expected to spend the entire weekend so focused on each other, on our family and friends, and on the absolute magic that you all orchestrated so flawlessly. It's safe to say our expectations were blown out the water of Lake Alisal, through the garland-covered Atrium, and launched into the starry Santa Ynez skies. We knew we were in safe hands with Chabeli from the very beginning, and then when we finally got to meet the rest of you in front of Jackson house, we were reassured that everything was going to be great. Brianna, Jeannine, Juliana, Sheena- you are all so warm and professional and clearly love what you do. We're sure there were countless moments of stress for all of you throughout the weekend, but we can honestly say that we did not notice a single one of them, and every time that we looked over at one of you, there was a smile. Chabeli, our fearless leader! Thank you for putting up with all of our incessant questions over the last year. If we had a dollar for every time we asked you "well what do you think, Chabeli?" we could probably pay for the entire wedding. We trusted you throughout the whole process, and given the way that Atrium turned out, we are so glad that we did (can't believe we were even considering saying no to that). But seriously, you're truly the best in the biz and we couldn't have done it without you. We'll be singing your praises to friends, family, and random strangers on the street for the rest of time! Can't thank you all enough - we are so grateful Best, Dean & Em PS (plans)- we are not missing a single thing from the weekend. You all even packed up Emily's bouquet and it's still looking radiant, soaking up some well-earned water in our dining room. Thank you for everything"

The event that I imagined came to fruition, without any drama, delays or problems. All matters were addressed by Kristine and handled immediately at every point. All this and a rushed 3 month timeframe to get a very special event in order. No shortcuts. Lastly, I loved the fact that I was as involved as as I wanted. I would never hire anybody else besides Kristine for my future parties and special occasions. Thank you Kristine, to you and your team, for making our special night absolutely dreamy for all of us.

We planned an out-of-town wedding which is already stressful but Candice was our main point of contact for all the vendors and handled everything so smoothly. I'm not gonna lie, we were totally procrastinating on certain things but she is so incredibly organized and communicative that she kept us on top of it all without making us feel overwhelmed. She knows her stuff inside and out. She constantly went so far out of her way for us. When we flew into town to meet with vendors, our schedule was packed. The cake place was way too far away for us to make it so Candice literally drove out of her way to go pick up the cake samplers and bring them to us to take home just so we wouldn't miss out. Two days before the wedding, I was spiraling bc I thought our seating chart signage and menus weren't going to arrive in time. Candice immediately jumped in with a backup plan to fix it. Thank goodness they did arrive but we had a back up plan just in case. And the actual wedding day? She was a total rockstar!! Everything felt completely seamless. Even our guests and wedding party were pulling us aside to say how impressed they were by how professional and amazing her and her team were. Hiring Candice was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we genuinely cannot imagine having gone through this experience without her. We booked the Whole Milk package and started working with Candice about ten months before our wedding. From the very beginning, she made the entire planning process feel incredibly smooth, organized, and easy. Wedding planning can involve an overwhelming number of decisions and moving pieces, but with Candice, we always felt like everything was under control. One of the biggest advantages of working with Candice is her incredible network and relationships with vendors throughout the LA area. She works with truly top-notch, high-quality people, and it is so clear how much her vendors respect and enjoy working with her. She stays in constant communication with everyone throughout the planning process and, as the wedding approaches, coordinates all of the details between vendors. Candice is also unbelievably organized and detail-oriented. The wedding-day timeline she created for us was incredibly comprehensive. She thought through things we never would have even considered and had every little detail accounted for. She also has an amazing eye for design and helped us create a wedding that was more beautiful than we could have imagined, while always making sure that our own tastes and preferences were at the center of every decision. She gives great advice and guidance without ever making you feel like there is a "right" way you have to do something. We received SO many compliments on how beautiful our wedding was and design of everything and that so many details were thought of to make the guest experience wonderful. As amazing as she was throughout the planning process, the wedding day itself is where Candice truly shined. She took care of absolutely everything. She has such a calm, easygoing presence that somehow makes you feel like there is genuinely nothing you need to worry about. We were able to be completely present and enjoy our wedding because we knew Candice was behind the scenes making sure every detail was handled. Our families absolutely adored her as well. By the end of the night, everyone could see how invested she was in our wedding and just how much work she had put into making the day perfect for us. She went above and beyond in so many ways, especially at the end of the night, taking care of countless little things for us that we hadn't even thought about. After working together for almost a year, we felt so much trust in Candice, and by our wedding day, she felt like such an important part of the experience. Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be, and so much of that is because of Candice. We would hire her again in a heartbeat and recommend Candice and Milk Events without hesitation. Truly the best.

And Katherine if you see this sorry for glitter bombing you with our wedding invitations. On the wedding day itself everything was hectic, as you'd expect. But Candace and her team handled everything and kept the day running smoothly. One small gesture that really stood out was when her team brought my wife and me snacks during cocktail hour since we hadn't had a chance to eat all day. That level of care meant a lot to us. The coordinators' involvement was largely limited to basic setup and following the timeline we created together. When issues arose during the wedding, there was a significant lack of communication and problem solving. For example, there were problems with the gate crash games, and the top layer of our wedding cake went missing. As newlyweds, we were not aware that the top layer of the cake is traditionally saved for the first anniversary. Since the coordinators presented themselves as professionals with experience in wedding traditions, we expected them to provide guidance on important customs like this and ensure meaningful details were not overlooked. Instead, no one informed us that the cake layer was missing or explained its significance, and we only found out afterward. Additionally, the coordinators presented themselves as knowledgeable and experienced in Chinese wedding traditions, which was one of the reasons we trusted them. I specifically wanted my family to be present and able to watch the gate crash games. However, everyone was ushered out, leaving me completely alone in the room when my husband arrived to pick me up. This was extremely disappointing, as sharing this tradition with my family was an important part of the experience. The gate crash games also did not go as intended. While my bridesmaids were responsible for carrying out the games, the coordinators should have stepped in when they noticed things were not following the intended format. Given their claimed expertise in Chinese wedding traditions, they should have been able to recognize when the games were not being conducted properly and provide guidance or correction. During the traditional tea ceremony, the positioning was also handled incredibly poorly. We were placed by the photographer in a way that left our backs completely facing the groom's side of the family, meaning his relatives couldn't see a single thing. This is exactly the kind of situation where the coordinator should have spoken up and adjusted the layout, but instead, they stood by and let a deeply meaningful moment be ruined for half of our guests. During speeches, I made it clear everyone was to stand at their seats when giving speeches. Jeannie told one person to stay at her seat but allowed the other two to come onto the stage. Totally not consistent at all! Made that one person look bad for staying at her seat whereas the others went on stage to give their speech. That person at the seat was more important to me than the other two giving speeches! Yet they were not told to stay at their seats and allowed on stage! We also received multiple complaints from our guests regarding the entertainment: * DJ: The music was poorly managed. Every time I left the room for an outfit change, the music stopped completely, which disrupted the flow and atmosphere of the reception. * MC: While the MC was friendly, they did not help create energy or engagement among our guests. We had specifically requested that important announcements and activities be translated into Chinese for our elderly guests. Instead, the reception games were conducted entirely in English. As a result, many of our older guests did not understand what was happening and were unable to participate, leaving only the younger guests involved. Overall, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of communication, oversight, coordination, and cultural consideration. We expected a much higher level of attention to detail, guidance, and support throughout the event.
