It pains me to write this review. Mr. coppens is a very nice man…read more I picked Coppens because of the good reviews, only one negative review and he was willing to come to the house for a very reasonable fee. That cinched my decision! As soon as he arrived and tried to pry open the back of my computer, I suggested he take the screws out first. That should have been my first clue. But again, those great reviews.... He took out the power box and we ordered together, a new one. He took my computer home to finish the 'repair' when the new boxe arrived. When he received the new power box, he told me it worked for 5 seconds then the computer again turned off. My original problem was my computer just shut down. So he said it might be the motherboard which he doesn't do repairs on, AND he said 'to tell you the truth, I don't think it'd be worth it to put money into it to fix it." NOTE: My computer is a great computer, above the average home computer. It's 5 years old. I asked him to bring me back my computer with the 2 power boxes, the original one and the new one. He brought it back to me a few days later, no power box installed and only one of the screws to hold the back of the computer was there. :( Long story short, ha, I told him I would be getting a 2nd opinion. The next day I took it to another person and he fixed it within a couple of hours. He said, the place you plug in the power box, the pins were bent and the casing cracked with a small piece broken off. He was able to straighten the pins and get the new power box in and the computer works great! I can assure you, the pins were not bent when Mr. Coppens took my computer.

I later took it to 99 PC repair and got my laptop back it's working great and I didn't need to buy extra parts and when I asked if I had an outdated laptop 99 PC confirmed it was only a year old laptop. I would not recommend this PC guy at all. Just be honest and say you can't fix it before wasting someone's time and money.

Fast forward to about a month ago where I closed my laptop lid and CRACK - something happens where basically the bezel, back over, and hinge gets damaged to the point where it looks like I ripped it apart when I open my laptop back up. Tried to fix it and somehow made it worse by messing up the screen and man, I've done my fair share of taking computers apart before but I wasn't going to mess with my laptop after this series of unfortunate events. I reached out to a couple of repair guys for a quote and Eric gave me the best one AND the hope that my laptop could be saved (I had a couple others tell me it wasn't worth the fix; mind you, my computer itself worked fine still - I just had to plug in an external monitor to get anything productive done). He was timely with messages, and even let me know that some parts were missing for repair and ordered it for me. His quote was reasonable in comparison to the cost of a brand new laptop and now that I've had it back for a couple weeks; I can honestly say it feels brand new.
