The same expo we were attending. Location is great as it's close to downtown Flagstaff. We arrived in Flagstaff and checked in after 7 pm. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. The bed was comfortable and the area was pretty quiet. We slept well and hard that night. We checked out early the next day to head to our expo and didn't have time to explore the hotel, so I can't speak for the amenities. We decided to complete our spontaneous journey by booking a hotel once we arrived in Flagstaff. We decided to book at Hotel Elev8 as it offered great amenities at an acceptable price point. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. Check in was a breeze. When we went to our room, we entered through a side entrance as recommended by the front desk staff. From the main hallway- I was a bit surprised by an abundance of maid carts and extension cords for the vacuums strung out all over the floor. I saw this as a major liability of a guest were to trip over a cord. The hotel does not have an elevator, which could pose an issue for some guests. This did not bother us though. Our room was clean, and updated. I was very impressed by how nice of a room it was considering the low price we paid. I loved that there was a 24 hour gym, sauna, large hot tub and pool on the property. All in all, I feel that this hotel was well worth it for the price. We would definitely book another room here in the future.

The representative put us on hold and then confirmed pool was operational. We showed up at Elev8 shortly before 1pm and Tessa said there would be a $30 early check in fee for the 2 hours. We declined the fee and said we'd wait in parking lot for 2 hours. Next she told us that pool was NOT functioning- more disappointment. She said she'd place us in a room far from the freeway traffic and to come back at 3 pm. My Asian wife went back to office at 3pm and Tessa refused to give her the non refundable room despite telling us to come back at 3pm. Never in our life's have we ever been turned away or had such a miserable experience. Personally, I think Tessa is a racist and I would discourage anyone from staying at this facility. She clearly has ZERO customer service skills and does not belong in the Hospitality industry. Please stay away from this facility- it's overpriced anyway and there are much better deals in the area. Hopefully the Management will fire Tessa for her racist and unprofessional behavior.

There's also a gas station mini mart that's close. And yes, there are a few not so glamorous aspects of staying here. He seems mentally unbalanced and is not a good face for the business. I made a reservation online and arrived with a small camper in tow. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.

The staff when I arrived was nice and welcoming. Lee was working and she's absolutely wonderful. This being said- I switched rooms three times within the first 10 minutes. The second rooms beds were made but the bedding was unusually wrinkled, I pulled both back and there was body fluids and tons of hair all over the sheets. The third room that we actually stayed in under the repeated phrase of "it's just one night and we don't have to shower", the linens were clean but it was gross. We travel (always) with one or both of our meows, so motel 6 is our go-to overnight. The front desk was kind of bizarre: "this is not a problem but for you because you are a good man? He scoped out the problem and quickly found a solution. Yay Jose! The room is a standard motel 6 room. Same slightly sketchy coverlets. Decent desk with wi-fi. Microwave and refrigerator. But this location? It has Jose! Five stars for him. Let me add, as I wake up and get back on the road, that this turned out to be a quiet and comfortable overnight.
