I really wanted to like this place, it was a cute little shop, with higher than normal prices for frames, but you get where you can right? I wouldn't. There were a few problems: 1. The doctor talked about her staff horribly off and on during our visits. 2. Constant turn over for staff which made consecutive visits to pick up frames confusing. 3. Billing was egregious. First time paid the bill, was called a few days later due to a mistake to pay more. Then, I needed a specific exam, which I specifically asked if it was covered, I was advised yes, and then she tells us after the exam it was not covered. She has changed our bill 3 times, each time to ask for more money. 4. Terrible customer service, it almost seems fraudulent the processes they have. 5. Spoke in detail about other clients. I had a great first visit back in October with no issues, paid my bill in-clinic at the end of the appointment, no problems! Well, except that I never received a prescription or information from my visit so I could order new glasses. Then I got another bill from them for a similar amount, no biggie, paid that too. A few months later, I got my first email from them with a 60-day late fee! Weird...I paid them TWICE...they also don't have a patient portal or anything for me to check my statements, previously paid bills, and view unpaid balances, etc...extremely inconvenient but whatever. Honestly, I forgot about the late fee...my mistake; I take full accountability for it. Then in June, I received a notice (to an address I hadn't lived at for 6 months, yes I submitted a Change of Address and mail forwarding to USPS) about an unpaid balance and that they're sending me to collections?!?! Convenient that they don't have a patient portal for me to check right? I check my bank statements and yup, the payments went through, so I call their office 11 TIMES and can't get ahold of anyone! I drive to the office and sit outside for 15 minutes until I finally see Dr. Cooke, in between patients. Before I can even explain the situation, she quickly tells me to leave them another voicemail and then closes and locks the door on me! I would've happily waited until she had a free moment to speak with me or allowed me to speak with another employee (which she doesn't have as it turns out, hm, I wonder why), but she didn't give me the time of day. When she finally emailed me back, she was very rude and accused me of things which were not true (which she would've known had I gotten the chance to explain). Will NOT be returning. read more

Dr. Cooke was wonderful and a great help. She was able to quickly squeeze me in for an eye appointment for a job when no one would. She was extremely professional and very kind. I would gladly come back here again! read more

I don't think these two negative reviewers are talking about the same Dr. Cooke I've been to many times! She's very professional, and I am 100% confident in her. In addition, she lifts my spirits when I see her. Recommended without reservation. read more

I was just going to tuck this away and find a new provider, but I think people need to be aware of how unprofessional and inconsiderate this practice is. I called and made an appointment for an eye exam ONLY for both my son and myself. I was told I would be emailed a link and needed to fill out the paperwork 48 hours prior to the appointment. I filled out my sons paperwork long before our appointment but couldn't get the link to work for mine. I did NOT call to see why I couldn't get the link to work for my own paperwork, that is MY bad. The day before our appointments I get a call from the office saying I failed to complete the paperwork, therefore, my appointment was being rescheduled. I explained the issue of the link not working and the lady said, this often happens and is an error on their end, but due to policy my appointments would still need to be rescheduled. Fine, okay cool, I understand, no big deal. At this point I use the opportunity of being on the phone with the office to ask about their rescheduling policy, (I signed no policy for cancelation) we were expecting a huge snow storm and I specifically asked the lady if I was needing to reschedule again due to the store, would I be penalized and need to pay a fee to reschedule, and she said there was no policy for rescheduling as long as I communicated the need to reschedule prior to the appointment, she said she was documenting that I may need to reschedule due to the storm. I completed the paperwork sent after they reset their system. They don't accept my insurance, I didn't have my insurance number but I was paying out of pocket so I figured it shouldn't matter anyway, right? I had saved the money, I EXPRESSED NO FINANCIAL CONCERN. I also did not call to cancel a second time, the day before my appointment, I receive a call from the office saying I'd rescheduled too many times, my documentation was not complete, and I would need to pay a fee in order to reschedule another appointment with them. I explained the situation and everything I'd been told and was pretty much told I was a liar. At that point, I said I wanted to go ahead and reschedule the appointment and that I would pay the fee. I would call back when I was able to pay the fee, had my insurance information, and knew I could make and keep an appointment. THEN I receive this email from the doctor. How is this acceptable? It is incredibly inconsiderate considering how hard it is for mothers to take care of themselves. It's been 10+ years since I've been able to go to the eye doctors, I have headaches, can't drive at night, and I was willing to take responsibility for my mess up of not asking the right questions, and just pay the fees. But this email.... My mind was blown, I would not recommend this place to anyone ( Inland Eyecare Moscow). DO BETTER! "Good morning , I am writing to you to inform you that I will be canceling your upcoming appointment at my clinic that was scheduled for this Thursday at 10:30 AM. My team has requested several times that you provide your insurance information and we have been continually met with noncompliance. I understand that the weather has been poor, thus I waived the rescheduling fee for your son's first canceled appointment, but calling at the last minute to cancel his second appointment despite signing our no show agreement means that I will need to charge the small deposit to create some accountability. We have a waiting list of patients to serve and given that we have reduced our volume due to the pandemic, every appointment slot is precious. My team also informed me that you had financial concerns regarding your visit. While I can understand financial hardship, it is not unreasonable for a service business to expect payment on the same day that services are rendered. There is no way of knowing prior to examining you whether the issues that you are having are more routine in nature or may be covered under your medical plan. Contact lens professional services are never covered under your insurance plan. If you and your son should choose to reschedule with us when you are a) able to provide proof of insurance and b) feel comfortable with your finances, we would be more than happy to serve your needs. My experience was good. My new glasses fit well, look good on me (not an easy task to accomplish), the staff were really nice, and now I can see better. Other places put me on a 5-month waiting list for an appointment. Inland Eye Care fit me in right away. I'm pleased. read more
