THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE! The results are life changing. I got my brows done because I had a couple scars from a childhood accident and no matter how many times I grew them out and got them cleaned up they turned out the same (thin). I decided to get my brows done after my stepmom got hers done and I saw the results. Within a day of her service I scheduled my appointment! The service was exactly what I expected but better! Marisa shaped my brows (30/40 minutes) so precisely with the use of multiple tools. It's incredible how even yet natural looking they are! During my touch up we didn't need to add or fill in a thing. The touch up was to apply another coat of color as Marisa expected the color to fade but it didn't! Fading depends on your skin type so don't skip the touch up! Now the pain...... I can tolerate pain so it was a breeze. Numbing is an option but takes time so completely up to you. I would lie if I said you can't feel a thing but not any more than a wax or individual tweez. I numbed for the touch up because I was a bit more sensitive than normal (getting cramps :)). Instead of waiting for the numbing solution to settle I allowed Marisa to start and apply the numbing solution as she stroke. I'm so happy I did it. I couldn't be more satisfied! Marisa is a god send!! I have very pale (and furry) blonde brows on white skin with red hair. My brows have been a point of distress for me since I was 8 and a boy at summer camp told everyone I didn't have eyebrows (they are literally see through). I've done powders, gels, pencils and dyes over the decades and resorted to microblading when I first caught onto it from Instagram. Unfortunately the first microblading artist I went to was not very good-I learned the hard way. Luckily the ink didn't hold up well and she no showed for my touch up. I sought out Marisa about 6 months later and she redrew the brows in a way that made them closer to the ideal shape but allowed for me to not have to put concealer over the old work. The ink didn't hold so well on the first round so she did a darker shade on my touch up and was meticulous re-depositing ink over every stroke. My first appointment with Marisa was at the end of November 2017 and my retouch was early jan. Including a picture from today, April 10 to show how well it holds up. Currently my only maintenance is an occasional wax (I just tell them to follow the micro blades shape) and an at home dye so the blonde hair matches. When it's time to redo the ink I won't go to anyone but Marisa, but I will consider having her do microshading which she recommended since my skin tends to reject the ink. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Marisa. She really takes time to measure your face and listen to what you like and what you don't like. It is helpful if you come to your appointment with screenshots of brows you like from her gallery to point out what you like about them. Marisa's work is truly 3D in that it's difficult to tell what is your real brow hair and what is not. Follow the aftercare instructions to preserve the longevity of your new brows. I have a high pain tolerance and would say the pain level is more of a 3 out of 10. I would describe it as more of a discomfort than pain. Marisa was great. She spent a long time answering all my questions and concerns during the consultation. I have been twice now, for the 1st eyebrow appointment and touch up. It's a night and day difference. My brows are full and perfectly symmetrical which they were not before. This has improved my overall appearance and daily confidence. They look 100 times better considering the thin sparse brows I was working with before. Not gonna lie, not the most pleasant experience; but it's totally worth the pain. However I do have a pretty high pain tolerance and chose to forgo numbing cream for most of the process; during both sessions. She spent a long time meticulously mapping out the shape, with consideration of my brow goals. I'm honestly curious if I can go back for a second touch up, because my brows were so sparse she went over a lot of skin with no hair at all and I might want them a little more dense.
