I found Marisa on Yelp! and decided to make an appointment since I loved her photos. Each customer had a different brow which frames their face. Other artists have the same eyebrows on everywhere which isn't right because we all have different face shapes. She responded quickly after my initial inquiry via email and please note that a deposit is required to make an initial appointment. The process did not hurt which was a surprise. She did a fabulous job with my brows. She was very detailed and intricate which I enjoyed. It's been almost 3 months since my touch up (my initial appointment was in December) and I've noticed that the brows did fade a lot. I can't recommend Marisa enough. She is a true brow artist. I was very nervous seeing as this is legitimately getting a tattoo on your face, and there are very real nightmare stories out there. She made me comfortable and talked me through everything. She took her time drawing everything out and took my specific face shape into consideration. When I came back for my second pass a few weeks later I asked for a few tweaks and she made adjustments. I get compliments on my eyebrows all the time now, and I NEVER got compliments before. I have naturally blonde hair and my eyebrows were so blonde you couldn't see them and very sparse. I have been getting my brows tinted for a while and generally like them tinted brown. THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE! The results are life changing. I got my brows done because I had a couple scars from a childhood accident and no matter how many times I grew them out and got them cleaned up they turned out the same (thin). I decided to get my brows done after my stepmom got hers done and I saw the results. Within a day of her service I scheduled my appointment! The service was exactly what I expected but better! Marisa shaped my brows (30/40 minutes) so precisely with the use of multiple tools. It's incredible how even yet natural looking they are! During my touch up we didn't need to add or fill in a thing. The touch up was to apply another coat of color as Marisa expected the color to fade but it didn't! Fading depends on your skin type so don't skip the touch up! Now the pain...... I can tolerate pain so it was a breeze. Numbing is an option but takes time so completely up to you. I would lie if I said you can't feel a thing but not any more than a wax or individual tweez. I numbed for the touch up because I was a bit more sensitive than normal (getting cramps :)). Instead of waiting for the numbing solution to settle I allowed Marisa to start and apply the numbing solution as she stroke. I'm so happy I did it. I couldn't be more satisfied! I plan to do get the lip blush next. read more
