Wow! Such very tasty flavors here! I had the Sudado de pescado (specially-seasoned fish fillet). The seasoning was very flavorful along with onion and tomatoes. This dish had a unique and slightly spicy taste that I thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert, I had the fantastic Passion Fruit Mousse. What a great balance of strong tartness with enough sweetness to savor every bite. The service is friendly and the restaurant has an interesting vibe.

Authentic Peruvian cuisine. Lomo saltado is our favorite. Beef or chicken with sautéed onions and peppers with a side of white rice and French fries or another side. Recommend the sweet plantains. Also try the fish ceviche for appetizer. Definitely one of our favorite places downtown.

Still my favorite place in Lynchburg. Everyone gets excited when I say "let's get Peruvian!" Great food, calm atmosphere and good service. Try it!!

Came here from lunch after our hike on our way home! It was Sunday so we were able to find free parking down the street and walk. The inside is a decent size with many seating options. We were seated at a booth. The workers were all very nice and attentive. The menu had lots of good options to choose from. I ordered the aji de gallina. It was very good! It was filling and a good price. The Peruvian sauce was yummy. I didn't love the chicken empanada. It just wasn't my favorite. Overall we had a nice meal and would love to try other entrees!

Excellent spot in the downtown area. Our group of five utilized the street parking and were immediately seated upon entering. The environment was welcoming. It reminds me of a well decorated diner, with a Peruvian flair. Once seated, we were given corn nuts with a spicy cilantro dipping sauce. We ended up getting an extra sauce because we wanted it with our meal. So delicious! We ordered two appetizers! The anticucho was exceptional. Two Peruvian friends both told us to order this. The Choritos à la Chalaca were also excellent! I could've eaten the two of those as my meal. Two people in our group ordered the Linguine Verde Con Bistec and loved it! I tried a noodle and loved the pesto flavor. Another in our group had the Lomo Saltado and loved it! I had the Tacu Tacu con lomo and was so impressed. Every aspect of it was delicious. The rice was excellent, too! We had four different desserts on our table and they definitely didn't disappoint. Our favorite was the donuts (picarones). I highly recommend going to this restaurant. Wonderful experience!

I had to show the before and after photos of my lunch to express how tasty it was. Frijol con seco is the first thing on the Traditional part of the menu. The only previous Peruvian food I had had was roasted chicken at another place so wanted to branch out. The meat and carrots were very tender and the rice topped with marinated onions was fantastic. I was with a party of 5. Our orders were taken promptly and food served quickly. Others ordered ceviche mixto, arroz con mariscos, and aji de gallina. All were well received.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in Lynchburg. Made a reservation and had my table saved with no hassle, dining area has character and is near the kitchen in a different way that gives an interesting perspective, definitely felt more authentic as you could see the care when preparing a dish Two entrees, a drink, and dessert to go, on more expensive than an average restaurant but definitely cheaper and better value than anything on the steak house level. Drink didn't have a price but was still good, definitely had its share of alcohol in it. Would recommend for anyone as the service was quick and good as well, will visit again!

The food was delicious, absolutely amazing. Worth a try even if you don't know what your ordering. The seating is small but there is room for maybe two big parties. Most of the empty tables including mine were dirty with grease stains and crumbs. I would still go back or maybe order takeout.

My wife and I finally got a chance to try inka grill and it was amazing. Food was fresh and taste amazing. The sauces are so darn good I wanted to take a gallon home. The service was excellent too!

Wow, you need to spoil your tastebuds and try this unique and delightful restaurant out. I had multiple food orgsms... order these things: Shrimp Causa, the arroz con mariscos aka seafood paella (yummers!! Strong crunchy red onion, cilantro, creamy deliciousness), frickin pollo Inka (stuffed breaded chicken in creamy mushroom sauce) was the best thing I've tasted in a long time. SAVE ROOM or be a glutton and eat Dessert. We had the chocolutma which was a cold creamy chocolate mousse topped exotic fruit topping.

Pachamama Peru was the fifth stop in my fall food truck hop! This is a food truck serving…read moredelicious authentic Peruvian food from meats directly raised on their farm and locally sourced produce from other farms. The first time I came across them was during the Saturday morning Downtown Charlottesville City Market (pre-covid). I've also encountered them at Charlottesville Festival of Cultures (pre-covid) and most recently at the Autumn Nights Thursday Night Market (which ended in October *SAD*).  We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, lomo saltado and tried a few empanadas (the chicken empanada & the beef, egg & olive empanada. Amidst everything eaten, the pulled pork sandwich truly stole the show! The sandwich included a heap of Wandering River Farm pork shoulder with pickled red onions and jalapenos on a light, fluffy bun. The meat wasn't thinly pulled like I'be seen in many American based pulled pork sandwiches, but more broken into small, juicy tenderized bite size morsels, lathered in an amazing creamy spicy sauce and then piled on top of the buns - overflowing onto the platter with a side of fried sweet potatoes. The fried sweet potatoes were also pretty good - they kept their shape and were actually fried in thin circular slices. Unfortunately, by the time we demolished the pulled pork sandwiches, they had lost some of their fresh crunch and thus were a bit softer than expected, but nonetheless the fried sweet potatoes were a good side dish to the sandwich! The lomo saltado was stir fried beef tenderloin with onions and tomatoes, served with a side of papas fritas (hand cut potato fries) and white rice. This dish was prepared on the spot - cooked over an open stove and thus the flavors were super fresh and worth the wait~ The empanadas had thicker, doughier shells (which I really appreciated) and were filled to the brim with meat. Not super spicy but the sauces that came with them really gave the flavor an extra

Peruvian Cuisine is one of the best in the world and right here in Southwest Roanoke, on Brambleton…read moreAve, we are fortunate to have a restaurant that represents it very well: Inka Grill. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And Inka Grill Peruvian Cuisine in Roanoke, Virginia, is the perfect example. I've been eating at this restaurant since they were in another location and then through Door Dash delivery, as a matter of fact the main photograph on their Yelp website is a close-up of their Lomo Saltado I took from the container delivered through Door Dash. So today I decided to go visit for the first time their Cave Spring location on Brambleton Ave in Roanoke, Virginia. Located inside a small, clean building, but nothing fancy, the success of this restaurant has been the fresh ingredients they use to make their wonderful recipes. My two favorite dishes are the Lomo Saltado and their Bistec a lo Pobre. And the main reason why I like them is the top quality meat they use. It is so tender and tasty and at reasonable prices, that can compete with many of the most expensive restaurants in the area, and come on top. When I arrived at the restaurant there was a group of three Hispanic ladies having dinner there. Later an American older couple with a college age daughter also came in and sat at the table text to mine. They all seemed to have something in common: steady customers very familiar with the menu and their favorite items. My server Lizbeth greeted and welcomed me to the restaurant, took me to my table, and handed me the menu. Not too extensive but each of the few items were much to be desired. To drink I had a glass of Chicha Morada, a very popular non-alcoholic drink from Peru. As an appetizer I had a House Salad. For my main entrée I had a Bistec a lo Pobre cooked medium rare. It is rice and beans together forming a roll, a tender thick steak, fried ripe plantains, a fried egg, and a criolla sauce. Everything was so tasty and delicious. And for dessert I had the Tres Leche. It is said that a picture is work a thousand words. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review and see for yourself, the amazing food. I highly recommend this restaurant to all. Once you try their amazingly delicious food, you will want to come back for more.

One of…read morethe ones I picked was Aji Fusion, a Peruvian food restaurant which reasantly opened its doors in one of the store fronts of the historic Patrick Henry Building in Roanoke, Virginia. Conveniently located in a very central location in front of the Roanoke Social Security office and next to the Rookie's Ice Cream Shop, it has on street parking spaces where you can park to get there When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly hostetest who also served as my waitress. She spoke good English but was extremely happy when she found out I spoke perfect Spanish, the language we both used to communicate from then on. She took me to my table and handed me the menu. I was already familiar with some of the items on the menu through their nice website with beautiful pictures of their food dishes. To drink, I asked her to give me a special fruit juice from Peru. She brought me a Chicha Morada drink, and it tasted deliciously refreshing. I ordered a house salad to start with and a Bistec a lo Pobre as my main course. She took the order and quickly walked to the kitchen without asking me how I wanted my steak cooked. This is a detail that should never happen in a restaurant when ordering a steak dish. As I waited for my food, I looked around and observed a very clean restaurant with open space and beautiful hardwood floors. The walls were nicely painted in a lightly pink-creamy color with a few framed pictures all around the walls. This gave the restaurant a relaxed yet distinguished decor that gave one a comfortable feeling alone as well as with family and friends. The first item that arrived at my table was the house salad. The waitress also had forgotten to ask me what dressing I wanted, so I asked her if she could change the one she brought me to a balsamic vinegarette. Besides being one I liked, I find that salads photograph very well with this one. The salad had carrots, tomatoes, avocado, onions, and lettuce, of course. I found everything in it very good except the lettuce was the cheapest kind and that is something I would rather not eat. Then as I was still eating my salad, my waitress brings me the main course. This odd timing broke the tempo of being able to enjoy a relaxing dining experience. The Bisteck a lo Pobre, the main course tasted well, even though the steak was well done and I like my steaks more medium rare. But it was juicy and well seasoned, and the entire dish was very flavorful. Overall, I feel that if management acts on my positive feedback given here and trains the waitresses better, this restaurant would be very successful, and therefore recommend it as a relaxed place to eat for family and friends.
