Been sitting on the review for a while. Deli blows. Part 1 Always moving at a snail pace (i don't blame them). The entree area is hit or miss but mostly miss and the rice is always stale and old. Part 2 I had an extremely unlucky but super poorly handled by management experience there. These 2 guys with 2 teenager looking kids came in and one of the dudes instantly spit on the floor upon walking in. I was ordering a sandwich from the deli and said dude stood a couple inches behind me to where i could feel his breath on my neck. I proceed to move he then moves behind me and the same thing occurs. I turn around and say can you take a step back you're too close to me. He then balled his fists and got into a tough guy stance. I was outnumbered and slowly backed away. I then asked for management and the guy (bigger guy who i will easily be able to identify) goes "my bouncing days are over". Mind you as i was walking away they took my place in line and i was so close to finishing my order and having a good experience. He said to me "buddy go get your sandwich" which was super unprofessional and also told me to watch my mouth when i said those guys are being a holes. Literally never going to this ingles again which is a shame as you guys are the only grocery store near by. I genuinely despise the store pay your workers more and they won't look so miserable and get better management. read more

Great place to do groceries and have lunch. My husband and I were in the area for 10 days and we had lunch there twice. Salad bar is excellent and you can also buy things from the deli or the hot food bar. With the prices, being what they are having lunch at Ingles is a great value. Comfortable eating area is clean and well-maintained. read more

We were hiking in the area and stopped by for deli lunch. Great choices with meat 2 sides special at $5. We had fried chicken, tatters, and green beans. Good choices! Filling and tasty for grocery store. Also grabbed some bulk trail mix. Clean store. Clean restrooms. Friendly staff. Worth a stop if you are in the area. read more

This store, like most of the Ingle's Markets we've been inside of, is beautiful. Everything is fresh, and store is clean and employees friendly. I'm giving on a 2 star review because this store does nothing to enforce the "wear a mask rule" that is posted on all entry doors. Employees wear them but a significant amount of people DO NOT. Enforcement is easy...either have an employee stationed at door or tell cashiers not to check out the rule breakers. read more

This Ingles continuously disappoints. The salad bar is always old. The wings and meatballs in the salad bar section are always old and dried out. The "fresh" veggies are far from fresh. They're always on their last legs, and wilted, or soft. The prepared food is an embarrassment- the salad bar, wings, Chinese food and the fried chicken areas are always a disaster. Just look at this picture I took of the peas in the fried chicken section I took the other day. The apples in their apple and cheese packages are frequently moldy. I could take similar photos almost every time I go. read more

Ingles is amazing. We live in the actual birthplace of Publix and have enjoyed great groceries and service. But the first time we hit an Ingles we were doing a happy dance. They carry things we cant get anywhere else. We love the Charleston Organics coffee in whole beans, fresh baked biscuits that do not contain malted barley. HOMEMADE guacomole that is better than restaurants. They have a " tomato bar" with luscious little ripe tomatoes you can mix and match. In the summer they carry amazing locally grown fruits and veggies. If you have ever had a home grown tomato from NC you know what I mean. My husband loves Nantahala sausage made in Franklin NC, and let me tell you, it is the real deal. I know, my family used to make sausage. Daddy was a famous for delivering it to local stores. We just discovered a brand of whole wheat pasta, Delallo Organic, that is delicate and delicous, you can't even order it on Amazon. The house brand cereal is a great buy and tasty. Boars Head meats, a walk in beer cooler...gelato in the deli...I could go on and on. My only "I would rather not" a is the chinese bar and veggies at the hot deli. Breakfast is good, as are the meats. All in all we love Ingles! read more

I can't say enough about the people that work at this Ingles. I had an incredible experience here that honestly restored my faith in humanity. Last week, I lost my car keys within the grocery store. The store manager, Glen, spent a long time walking around and helping me look for them. Eventually, I had to leave, and they found the keys the next day. Because I live out of town, they're mailing me the keys. The fact that they'd go out of their way to help me like this speaks volumes. Lots of grocery options too! Huge store. read more

The Store serves chicken salad after three days on the hot bar. They wash mayo off the chicken and Cook chicken into some "Other dish."

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and wide aisles. Great variety. I wish there was a way the deli could call my name when my order is ready. My husband and I have both walked out without going back to get our lunch meats and cheese. That's our fault, not theirs! read more

Ingles prices in Hayesville, NC have risen unfairly during this Covid/19. Prices of all meats have gone up dramatically. Check out the fair prices at Wal Mart in Murphy, NC or Food Lions in Brevard,NC. Corn on the cob at Wal Mart .50 in Ingles $1, Steaks at Wal Mart $8.97, Ingles over $15. It shouldn't matter in these difficult times that they take advantage of the hard working public to make more of a profit. This is unexceptionable shop Wal Mart so Ingles takes noticed that you are making a statement. President of Ingles please comment on this site and come to Hayesville and check it out. Everything I purchased at Wal Mart was much lower than Ingles. Even one of your managers shops for food at Wal Mart. read more

Traveling through the area and stopped in for carrots. Just carrots. Left with $51 worth of groceries. They have such a clean store. Lots of product choices, fresh doughnuts, a Starbucks coffee shop, a huge wine selection, a huge beer selection. Extremely wide aisles too! This is a big grocery store. We loved it! read more

I have worked in the grocery business for many years. I know if a customer comes through and the self checkout is flagging every item as not put in the bag you have a calibration problem with the bagging system! Not only that but we had to wait while they looked up our ingles number, no simple putting in of our phone number like they can do at the regular checkout lanes. Nope, not only that but they put in an invalid number costing us over 10 dollars! My SO was getting very impatient with everything so instead of management we just left. Had half a mind to leave everything but we didn't. It was over $75. Think we will go to Always save in Murphy from now on. Horrible service all the girl was doing was using her cell phone, acted like it was an inconvenience to help us out. read more

This is literally the best Ingles in Western North Carolina. It is consistently clean, well stocked, with helpful employees that wear masks over their mouth AND nose. Managers are never hiding in the office- they're always checking shelves and dusting them, making sure food is in date, and items are organized. Once in a blue moon have we found a food item that is out of date or close to expiring, but that is the exception here unlike area stores. Cannot stress enough how clean this store is kept ( floors, shelves, bathrooms, cashier areas, all of it!) Cashiers are fast, polite, and friendly, no standing around texting or having drama filled inappropriate conversations with each other or baggers in front of customers. Only point of criticism - the fried rice in the deli needs some TLC. We drive an hour once per week to shop here and will continue to do so until the other Ingles locations in WNC can raise their standards! read more
