This is the second time our pickup has been delayed until the next day. Service is unpredictable and incredibly frustrating.

Previous 1 star review should really be disregarded as it's pretty clear on Lasso the Moon's…read morewebsite that appointments need to be scheduled ahead of time. And they deserve no less than 5 stars for the experience, from my first correspondence with Holly to arrange the tour, to arriving. The directions and the signage were momentarily confusing, but the site indicates to drive towards the right behind the barn on the gravel road. Pulling in you can't help but "awww" over the chickens, ducks, dogs and alpacas dotting the property. Once all of the other guests had arrived, the tour began and it was both fun and informational, about the farm, alpacas, and the artwork made from their fibers. Even my little one was less than her squirmy fidgety self and listened. Feeding the alpacas was really the most fun part as we were told that they don't particularly like being petted on their heads (only a minor bummer as we'd gleefully hoped that we'd get a few gentle pats in.) The tour finished up in the upstairs art studio where hand-made gifts were available, or where one could make a donation, as the tour is free. For how much fun it was, I wouldn't have hesitated to have been required to pay for it anyways. It was a very fun and memorable morning meeting some gentle and fluffy alpacas up close, and I would strongly suggest that anybody making a weekend trip to this area to plan ahead to also visit Lasso the Moon.

Cute little shop that offers chocolates, as well as gelato in a small town. The people working…read morethere are very friendly and attentive. We were waited on quickly. Had a sample of the grapefruit gelato which was tasty. Not overly sweet at all. Very refreshing. They have lots of flavors and they are constantly churning. We ordered 5 truffles and a Turvle (think pecan turtle). The not turtle - Turvle - was dark chocolate and was delicious. It was only $3.99 and rather large. The truffles were - blueberry, orange, lemon, key lime, and tiramisu. They were all tasty. One didn't stick out as the winner. They were $2.50 each. Very very pricey. I guess that's normal for a truffle, however the flavor profiles weren't on that price point in my opinion. Some had a hard time guessing the flavor. Is it fun to come in and grab some truffles and see if you can guess the flavor - yes. Is it an investment - also yes. But, it's a fun little thing to do. They do have other non truffle things that I would try before the truffles. They did have apples out but they weren't dipped yet. Would have loved to try that or some strawberries. The chocolate is good, but not spectacular. Love that they have dark and milk. Fun place.
