Visited Denise about a month ago for chakra activation, acupuncture, and cupping, and I'm still buzzing from my treatment with her! I have been living in fight-or-flight mode for quite some time now, but she is so warm and welcoming, it was almost harder to NOT be vulnerable with her. Denise was very thorough in her initial assessment, exploring both physical and mental issues I've been experiencing, and explained everything she was doing to help me overcome some of these blockages. She is extremely intuitive and to my surprise, was even able to identify - just solely of her physical assessment of me - some emotional burdens that I had not disclosed to her at that point. I left feeling lighter, more relaxed, and more hopeful. I whole-heartedly believe Denise is a true healer in this world, and would highly recommend her to anyone. read more

I came in to see Denise hoping she could help with my food sensitivities and digestive concerns. I found her to be intuitive, gentle, and supportive. After a few sessions, I've noticed some major shifts and can tolerate certain foods a little better. Woohoo! If you're needing to recalibrate in any way, she has tools to support you on your wellness journey. read more

I was having extremely severe nerve pain in my neck/shoulder/back and Denise was the only person who really acknowledged and understood my pain and made me feel heard. All the doctors I went to just gave me pain killers and told me to wait it out but she truly listened to me and helped me heal. I went to her three times over a few weeks and after the third time I went from constant level 9-10 pain to a very manageable low pain level. I highly recommend if you are struggling with nerve pain!! She is amazing and so kind read more

Denise is simply magical! She's helped me balance my hormones, heal my gut, relieve my anxiety/stress, and so much more. She will forever be apart of my self care practice to ensure I have optimal health. I can't recommend Denise's services enough. I love when she also incorporates cupping into my service and the healing sounds of her sound bowls during my treatment fully activate my system. The best acupuncturist/healer in Long Beach! read more

This review is long overdue. I've been a migraine sufferer for over 10 years. I would find temporary relief with medications. I was very limited in what I could enjoy outdoors, the sun was my enemy. My friend insisted I to try acupuncture, I hesitated. I started researching places in my area and came across Dr Denise Estrada on a Saturday morning when I was having a bad episode. I was desperate for relief. Dr Estrada was able to see me that afternoon. Dr Estrada has beautiful peaceful energy, I immediately felt comfortable and relaxed as we discussed my medical history and issues. During my first session I fell asleep and my migraine was gone when I woke up. I've been migraine free ever since, going on 90 days. Accupuncture has not only helped me with the migraine issue, it has helped with other side issues I was dealing with that I had no idea were related. My overall mood and sleep has improved. Consistency in visits is key. Also, trust me, take the supplements she recommends. I am forever grateful to have met Dr Estrada and honored to be in her care. Her healing hands, energy and knowledge changed my life. read more

I was very saddened when my excellent holistic doctor, Drew Nystrom relocated out of Advanced Wellness. After he left I had a literal nightmare of 3 horrendous doctors. 2 misdiagnosed my GI condition (after complications from Nora) as SIBO giving me herbs that made the condition worse The 3rd helped but had a nasty 'bed side manner" By divine appoint I found DENISE ESTRADA of Healing Sound Acupuncture and instantly felt at home. Denise is by far one of the very best acupucturists/Chinese herbalists and music therapists I have ever met. (and as a hypnotherapist myself I know most of the practitioners from LA down to San Diego). DENISE radiates health, light and love. She is a caring doctor who listens to her patients and gets to the root of the issue. Her office at GO INWARD is a sacred healing space with stunningly beautiful examining rooms with heated tables, salt lamps, soothing aromatherapy, immaculately clean bathrooms right next door and soothing music therapy. Her office feels like a 5 star spa and not a generic cold medical facility. Denise gave me the best cupping sessions I ever had. I can't tell you the aggravation I had in the past of practitioners who did not know how to cup properly scorching my back hairs or cups that fell off where I was charged a whopping $95 for a treatment that didn't work. IN CONTRAST DENISE IS THE BEST! Wow, I got over 1 hour treatment for $20 less than most practitioners. Truly exceptional. She is good about getting you in for appts, returning calls and ordering herbs quickly. She is an educated healer continuing to study and grow in her practice. I admire this. I'm a a music/singing coach and so I love that includes music therapy in her practice. I'm amazed by the beautiful lobby, having water and tea for patients, quiet low lighting etc. The space Denise and GO INWARD creates feels like a sacred healing space. So important. From all the 5 star reviews I see on Denise.... it is obvious she is loved, admired in the community and that all her patients like myself are thankful for her guidance in our healing journeys. I truly can't say enough good things about Denise. I feel I have the best doctoral care and made what I hope will be a life long friend and colleague. Thanks Denise. Namaste. read more

Get balanced with Denise at Go InWard!!! I'm thankful to have an awesome Soundbath experience with DENisE. I actually felt my chakras being aligned through all her different sound vibrations techniques. She knows what she's doing and she guides you smoothly and peacefully through her practice. She's a kind woman who truly believes in the power of chakra healing. The power is and has always been within us. It's important for us to be mindful of our inner balance and Denise helps bring forth that Chi ‍ thank you so much Denise! I'm looking forward to our next session. Many blessings! read more

I came to Denise for help regulating my painful menstrual cycle. Every month I'd have severe cramping, bloating and sometimes have to take a day off work because I was so uncomfortable. I'd gotten used to popping over-the-counter painkillers all day for at least the first three days of my cycle. I am so thrilled to say that after about three months of working with Denise regularly through acupuncture and cupping, for the first time IN MY LIFE I had a period wherein I didn't take a single painkiller. I didn't even know that was possible. It's incredible to know that monthly suffering is not just "part of being a woman." Denise has taught me so much about how my body works and how to take care of myself and I am so grateful. I plan to continue my sessions and look forward to continued improvement. Thank you, Denise! read more

I found Denise by accident a few months ago. Perhaps it was more just a push of the universe than "accident." She has changed my quality of life immensely. I have several chronic issues. Im dealing with a subluxed rib, neck and shoulder pain, hormonal imbalance and some sleep issues. I can't believe how great her therapy has worked! She always asks me at the beginning of each session how I feel and she treats EVERY issue. It's definitely a holistic approach. She is truly amazing! I have been to SEVERAL doctors, specialists and physical therapists for my rib in the past 5 years, and none of them could stop the pain. After going to her, my pain was relieved and as corny as this sounds it felt like a miracle. It gave me so much motivation to be better. If you're considering acupuncture or need a great acupuncturist, please check out Denise! read more

Denise is amazing! I highly recommend her 90 minute session with sound bath, cupping and acupuncture. I felt transported into another realm. All her sessions are great though. I started seeing her to treat Lyme disease. Every time I see her, I have more energy and vitality afterward. If I have phlegm in my lungs, a session with her really clears it up. read more

Denise is an incredibly deft healer. I came to her for acupuncture and got so much more than I thought I would: she plays sound bowls during the session, which are deeply relaxing. She talks to me about Chinese medicine and why different things are happening in my body, so I get to learn more about how to care for myself. She has also done cupping sessions on my upper back and shoulders, which have become very tight due to my computer work. If you're looking for a holistic approach to wellness and healing, Denise is amazing. I highly recommend her and her work. read more

I never write reviews but I MUST for the incredible service I have received here. I am forever grateful for the relief and relaxation Denise has provided me with. She is kind, gentle and passionate about what she does and shows in her practice. She is very thorough with me during every session and caters to my specific needs and pain points. Always offering advice on how to better my physical and mental health. I cannot recommend Denise at Healing Sound enough for her cupping and acupuncture services! read more

I am so happy that my first acupuncture experience was with Denise. She made me feel at ease with her knowledge and was very gentle with needle insertion. I mean, it's needles sticking out of you! I wanted help eliminating my dampness. Within week after my first treatment, I noticed an increase in my energy level and reduced water retention. I'm looking forward to my next appointment and making acupuncture part of my routine to maintain my health. read more

Denise is such an amazing Acupuncturist. She has a heart of Gold which you can feel through her hands during her Acupuncture / bodywork sessions. I came to see her because of a pain in my right shoulder which had been present for 3 weeks. I believe I injured myself from overuse? She was able to trace the muscle pain to its origin through talk & touch. Once she found out what was going on she proceeded to deliver a true healing experience with her knowledge of the body paired with traction, light massage, cupping & acupuncture. She stayed in the room working on me for most of the 90 min session. I'm so use to acupuncturist putting in needles, leaving the room for 15 mins, coming back in, repeat the process, then sell me some herbs and say come back next week :( Denise was the complete opposite. I felt her intention was to heal me in one session. I felt my session with her was tailored to my injury. I felt SO much better after the session. Less pain, more flexability, and an overall sense of calmness. Also, she showed me some stretching techniques after the session which I much appreciated. I will be going back to see her and I recommend her to everyone who is in need of healing and acupuncture. She is the BEST!!!!!!!! read more

I brought my 71 yes old mom to see Denise for an acupuncture treatment for Mom's sciatica and a case of arthuritis in her shoulder. Mom was soon to be traveling overseas and I was worried that it was going to worsen before her journey. Denise saw mom over a couple of sessions for acupuncture and cupping and my mom said she felt immediate relief in the pain. Mom's been going for acupuncture for her arthuritis for thirty years and swears by it and she was impressed by Denise's attentiveness, professionalism and most of all the effectiveness of her treatment. Thanks Denise for fixing my mama!! read more

I've been seeing Denise for a year in April, for the sole purpose of relaxing my mind as I went through an IVF cycle. From my first meeting with Denise, I felt safe and welcomed. After a couple acupuncture sessions, I knew I couldn't live life without it! Our weekly sessions have been more healing than anything I've experienced before. She creates a warm environment and knows exactly what I need. Sometimes she adds a cupping session or massage if she feels I need it. Not only are her hands healing, but her soul is beautiful and she shares it with you. She has taught me to visualize and meditate in order to unlock my own healing power. In January, I found out I was pregnant and it happened naturally! I truly believe Denise played a major part in my healing process. I am grateful the Universe set her on my path! Call her, you will not be disappointed! read more

Denise Thank you for being an integral part of my "Surgery Recovery - Superwoman-Style" Program. My plan worked! When it became apparent that I needed surgery to remove the almost 6 lbs. of tumors growing in my belly, I knew I needed help to recover in time to enjoy my vacation scheduled for less than three weeks after surgery. We devised a plan where my first appointment for acupuncture was scheduled 48 hours after surgery (while still in the hospital) and we continued three times a week for three weeks. With you contribution, my Superwoman recovery has been even better than I "planned". Off all pain medications with 10 days. Back to work 1/2 day on day 11 post-surgery. Back to work full-time starting day 12 post-surgery. I can feel my body getting stronger every day and I really feel great. I rest when I need and I'm now craving to red meat to get my full strength back. Day 19 post-surgery, I'll start my vacation confident that I will be able to enjoy every moment of the sand, surf and sun in Fiji. Thank you so much for your wonderful care and support which allowed my body to heal itself so quickly. Anita D. read more

Over the years I have seen quite a few acupuncturists for various reasons (fertility, digestion, back pain, etc.) Once I experienced Denise's highly skilled, compassionate and educated healing, I knew I would never need to try a new practitioner again. She's the real deal; her combination of sound healing with her intuitive needling elevates my healing experience and raises my vibrations. Denise's understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the body along with her training in yoga and her own life experiences makes her an outstanding acupuncturist. Oh and if you've never tried cupping, it's a must!! read more

I have been receiving treatments from Denise for approximately 3 months now and I cannot emphasize enough the benefits I've received thus far from her services. I came to Denise looking for help with chronic lower back pain, fatigue, and anxiety. I was referred by members of the Long Beach community involved in holistic health. Our initial appointment involved a lengthy assessment of personal questions regarding health, both physically and emotionally. Denise was very gentle with her inquiry, leaving me feeling well taken care of and important. Prior to every treatment, she provides a check-in and produces a treatment plan that meets my needs. Over the last 3 months, my symptoms have improved so much! I no longer feel inflammation in my joints, my back pain has improved immensely, and I feel happier. I am so grateful! If you are looking for an opportunity to implement more self-care in your life, then you are already on the right Yelp review. I highly recommend Healing Sound Acupuncture and Holistic Medicine to anyone who is looking for more peace and wellness in their lives. read more

I walked into Healing Sound Acupuncture for a rotator cuff injury in my shoulder as well as a sore lower back. The owner, Denise Estrada was exceptionally warm and inquisitive about my shoulder. She gave a lot of attention to it by offering cupping as well as acupuncture. She also attached some pads with a mild current running through it in order to stimulate the muscles. This may sound uncomfortable, but it wasn't because I would let her know which level was tolerable. Furthermore, she gave me a lower back massage, along with cupping to relieve some lower back soreness. I felt completely relaxed on her table with soothing music playing in the background. I was able to move my arm around relatively easily afterwards, and the pain in my shoulder was completely gone the next day. My back felt better too! read more
