If you're here then you are just like me, wondering if this review is a "bot" or purchased or…read morerepeated under several names. It's none of those and just like you I wanted to fix up my house with an improvement to my kitchen with some random picture I found on IG. I contacted several people; one company from Angie gave me some ridiculous $8k-$10k estimate based on a picture I sent (no measuring or on-site job walk). The other was Falcone who gave me an appointment time and never showed up. It got frustrating but I kept at it and saw all these reviews for Jayrock Tile. Jason from Jayrock Tile showed up early and I showed him my IG photo telling him, "I really want this". He helped me so much with educating me on what I now call "Tile 101". I learned a great deal, and I made a few changes with the new knowledge he helped me with. His crew arrived early and I already knew it was the beginning of what turned out to be the best decision I've made for my home improvement. The Jayrock Tile crew walked in, they set up outside and just began what looked like a focused nonstop task of knocking out my kitchen. I walked by to peak each time, and the two-man crew were just moving! In the few seconds I saw them go from left to right then inside & out. I know nothing of tile work, but I can tell you that they didn't skip a beat and were making progress each time I looked in to see how it was looking. I was rather impressed at their progress and speed. I heard the saw constantly cutting away at the tile and never realized how much was required to make each piece fit. I knew the picture I had showed a much larger backsplash and kept thinking "did I make a mistake", "will it even look the same"... After they finished, I walked in and saw my kitchen. It was beyond what I expected, and I couldn't stop thanking his crew. It's wild that I saw a picture, asked if it could be done and now, I have that same design in my house too! Sadly, I see other reviews here about "horrible customer service" and I wasn't there so I don't know why that encounter ended up that way? What I can tell you about my experience is that Jason is a super cool dude that's down to earth. He helped me with what I wanted and gave me so much information to make what I wanted look amazing. His crew which sadly I never got their names because they were just "Hi" and straight to work!! Those two guys were awesome!!! I am beyond happy with how everything turned out! I've heard of some companies where not everything turns out as great. I can tell you that the quotation was perfect and within my budget. The crew was amazing, they didn't break anything, they were professional (I have toddlers), and they did the most amazing level of work in my home. I hope that you find this review helpful and please know that its real, not paid for (I wish they paid me) or from some AI robot nonsense.

- Absolutely Incredible Experience!…read more Wow, wow, wow! If anyone is planning a kitchen renovation or remodeling, please read my review. I purchased my house 15 years ago and have done many projects, but I have never, I mean never, come across such a professional and excellent team. Cyrus, the owner, was amazing from the very first day. He walked through my kitchen, discussed the remodeling possibilities, and carefully explained all my options. He was extremely patient with me -- and believe me, I am very picky and a perfectionist. He asked for my wish list and promised that anything within city codes would be delivered -- and boy, did he deliver! Throughout the entire project, he kept every promise he made, never overpromised, and was honest and transparent. His pricing was much better than the 5 other companies I talked to. The entire crew was phenomenal. From the cabinet and design team to the plumber and painting crews, everyone was professional, punctual, and meticulous. They always cleaned up after themselves and left everything neat. Every part of the process, from start to finish, was handled with care and excellence. I am absolutely in love with my remodeled kitchen. I cannot thank Cyrus and his team enough. I will definitely refer this company to all my friends, neighbors, and family -- you will not be disappointed!

Engaging his service was so easy - based on our communications via Yelp, I just sent him my granite slab receipt, he picked it up, cut it to size, came on time, did a precise demo (minimal mess, no dust clouds in my kitchen), then custom fit and installed my new countertop. He even cleaned up the other countertops in my kitchen and sealed them all up so everything matched and looked great! It was beautiful, better than I was expecting! And he cleaned up the floors of any dust from the work. Once everything was complete, only then did he take payment for the job. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with So Cal Woodwork, especially because I had…read moresuch a positive experience with them in the past. I originally hired James about 8 years ago when we first purchased our builder-grade home. He extended our kitchen cabinets, added crown molding, and completed additional wood trim and detail work. They did an amazing job, and James was wonderful to work with. Because of that experience, when we recently had a horrible leak that required us to replace our entire kitchen island, pantry, and flooring, along with a few upgrades I had been wanting to do, James was one of the first people I reached out to. His wife was incredibly nice, accommodating, and understanding of our situation. James came out the following Saturday, took measurements, and spent time discussing the repairs and upgrades I wanted done. Then--nothing. I was completely ghosted. If he was too busy to take on the project, I would have completely understood. If the project was too small or simply wasn't something he wanted to take on, that's okay too. But after being a returning customer and taking the time to have him come out, measure everything, and discuss the project, I feel like I at least deserved the courtesy of a response. I called James directly and left a voicemail with no response. His wife had also confirmed my email address before he came out, so there were multiple ways to simply let me know they weren't interested or available. It's really unfortunate because I reached back out specifically because of the great experience we had with James 8 years ago. I would have happily continued recommending So Cal Woodwork to family and friends. Unfortunately, after being treated this way as a returning customer, I can no longer recommend them. Such a disappointing ending to what had previously been a very positive experience.

My appointment was rescheduled four separate times, often last minute. As a mom of 10-month-old twins, my schedule is very structured, so the repeated changes were especially disruptive. I understand things come up, but the lack of reliability was disappointing. I ultimately had to move forward with another company. **Update: After the owner's response, I went back and reviewed our messages and he's correct that there were two reschedules, not four. I appreciate the clarification and understand that one of the cancellations was due to a family emergency. Hope all is well with your mother. That said... scheduling delays, limited availability and multiple reschedules still impacted my timeline and planning, which ultimately led me to move forward with another company. I understand that unexpected situations come up, but reliability and consistency are important factors when choosing a service. Sharing this for transparency so others can make an informed decision.
