Thw food is okay BUT the upset waitress takes the appetite away. She needs to know customer service in a restaurant.

Best Restaurant in the valley by far. Super friendly staff and really great consistent food. Tried their pulled pork and it was delicious! The kickin' carnitas was a bit too spicy for me but overall solid flavor. Food is not too pricey for the ambiance that one seldom gets down here in the valley. From out of town and first time here. Never going back. Service in the middle of dinner on a week day, was non-existent. There was only one other table when we went in the place. We had to get our own silverware and menus. When a waitress finally saw us, she knew very little about the menu or where the food came from, what was made in house, or what came in a package. Either way I heard the beef here was good so I ordered the brisket sandwich. Hardly any brisket on the sandwich, meat full of large fat pieces and was metallic and shiny, and barely tasted smoked at all. It was basically a bread sandwich. My fries that came on the side were all about the length of my finger nail and burnt to a crisp! talk about bottom of the basket. Wtf!? I was really shocked a $14 sandwich should really be loaded with meat. Then, to give the place a chance, I thought maybe the desert donuts can redeem them. NOPE. Do not get the "donuts." It was basically oversized chunks of over fried and hard funnel cake covered in caramel. We couldn't even get our forks in them they were so hard. After our food was delivered we never saw a server again and had to find them for refills and to get our checks. Wtf!? Then to top it all off, I think the meat was bad because this meal was all I ate all evening and I was sick all night with food poisoning. Avoid this place if at all possible. read more

Great interior decor, so much potential but the food lacks flavor. Had the Cattle Call burger with "bourbon infused" bacon... Usually bacon adds tons of flavor but this burger was overcooked and flavorless. Husband had the fish and chips ...smelled like fish but tasted like over heated oil. Second time here but not any better than the first. First time we had pizza, charcuterie and pasta (overcooked pasta). They do have decent service BUT wont make up for the mediocre food. read more

Definately the Best Pizza in the Imperial Valley...we ordered the Inferno Pizza and it was delicious.!!!Service was good as well as the prices, they also have a good selection of Beers...I will definately come back. read more

Came across the restaurant on our way across town, immediately caught our attention. Stopped for dinner ordered the pu porked sandwich, and the fish tacos AAAANNNDDD a Hawaiian and margheritta pizza. The meal was delicious, great service!! Worth the price! read more

Menu selection seemed appealing and I had heard good things about this place, but was disappointed in the service (I had to wait an over an hour for a margherita pizza). So the place is really well designed. it's So Hick-Chic They used pallets for tables.. but it's so cool.. it's artisanal food and thus it's a little expensive. . the only one single reason why they didn't get that 5th star is the time u wait to get your food. other than that.. big fan. Just had the WORST experience at the Inferno tonight. Walked in at about 6:45 pm with a group of 4 people, 5 total including myself. The room was quite full however there were still a few available tables, an almost vacant bar area, and only one party sitting at the outside patio. We waited by the door at the front hosting area to be seated. We were completely ignored by several members of the staff despite having made eye contact with a couple. After waiting around a bit we decided that maybe the hostess was unavailable so we walked up to the bar area only to again be ignored by staff members. After a bit of waiting we finally got the attention of one of the servers. He asked if we'd been helped when we said we hadn't he asked if we had reservations. I told we hadn't however I explained that I'd called earlier and asked for the business hours and also asked if walking in was okay; I was told yes that walk-ins were just fine. He proceeded to tell me that today was reservation only. After reiterating that I called only a couple hours prior and was told walkins were welcome he insists that if I was told that, "that it was our bad" but you do need one. At this point the entire restaurant is staring at is being turned down for a table, it was humiliating especially because there were at the very least three available tables. As we're walking out he says in an almost mocking tone to us "next time you want to come in make sure you have a reservation". Never in my life have I been treated so poorly at any restaurant let alone a locally owned establishment. This visit was a complete disappointment and a huge embarrassment. I typically love to support local business but unfortunately with such a horrid experience this will definitely be the exception. I'm sure my business will be welcome elsewhere afterall my money is green. read more

Worst experience at a restaurant!! We had a party of 4, ordered appetizers and pizza at the same time but it came out at different times, raw even. Their soda was even flat. A group of people came in about 10 min after my party, they seemed to know the manager, and got served before we did. Our waiter looked to have let the manager know we had been waiting awhile for our food, the manager only looked back at us from his seat at the bar 3 different times, he never got up to address the issue. After an hour of waiting for a simple pepperoni pizza, I confronted the manager, he insisted we eat the raw oval pizza and he'd make it right by making us another one. He wanted us to eat the raw pizza??? At that point, we asked for the check for what we ate and left. The manager did only charge us for our beers, which at least he did one thing right. Our waiter was apologetic and we made sure he knew we didn't blame him & tipped him. From what I hear this a common occurrence at this restaurant. Either we need to become friends with the manager or never visit Inferno again... Never visiting again seems like the better option. read more

This place is ridiculous. Food is good service was horrible. My good went cold waiting for condiments. Tables reserved for 1 hr with people standing waiting and tables empty. People just watched the empty tables while standing. Ridiculous. These people have no clue how to run a restaurant. read more

Went to imperial valley for cattle call week. I'm from San Diego. I really enjoyed wends-day night. The only thing that I noticed was the General Manager/owner was extremely rude. And he was drinking during the event as well. You can't have a manager/owner drinking and trying to manage a event that big. Very bad language and bad attitude to his employees. The other owner mr. Harsening was very nice and made us feel welcome. Good for you don't be like the other owner you have. read more

We experienced Inferno with another couple for the first time this past week. It was a last minute dinner & drinks double date kind of night. As soon as we walked in, we got seated, we didn't have to wait for our server to come by & take our drinks, He was pleasant. He was prompt with our drinks, they all had beers, while I had a glass of wine. He took our food order & that is the only reason why they get 4 stars and not 5. We were a bit hungry & our food took a while to arrive. I had the steak tacos, delicious! The other couple had chicken tenders & fish tacos--they both were a little disappointed with their meals. My husband had carnitas tacos, which he loved. All in all, if you're looking for a place to mingle this would definitely be a good choice! The vibe is cool & the decor is awesome! What a gem! We pass through Brawley several times a year. Usually we have our dog with us. We were able to have her on the patio with us. It was 100, so we were the only ones out there. The staff was very attentive. 2 different people brought water for the dog. We splurged on the Brant rib eye. We like to sample the local fare. It was excellent!! Cooked just as we ordered. My friend and I were in Brawley for a birding adventure and stopped at Inferno for dinner. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and am struggling with eating out. I asked the hostess if they might be able to accommodate my gluten-free diet (along with my preference for vegetarian food). She said the chef would be happy to work with me. After being seated, the co-owner, Florentino, came over to help me with my options. He personally made me an order of caprese with home-grown basil that made an excellent dinner! My friend ate the pulled-pork sandwich and said it was outstanding. He even liked the slaw in it, something he normally does not like. Our dessert, date ice cream, was also delicious. So, service and food were top-notch. I can easily recommend this place to others!!! read more

Really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, slaw and fries! Visiting friends in Brawley, stopped by the farmers market and decided to pop in to Inferno for lunch, glad we did. Perfect amount of sauce and the slaw was a great topper. Service was efficient and friendly. I'll definitely be back to try the pizza and desserts. We are so fortunate to have Inferno here in Brawley. Cool building, great outdoor seating with music, simple but tasty menu. Great burgers (husband likes the Bison Burger). My favorite is the Caesar wedge and the Margarita or a tropical pizza! Great family owned place!! read more

An update of inferno. Service got so much better since my first review. Since last time I reviewed the inferno, service was terrible and slow. This was the only aspect that was holding it back from being a great spot for lunch during the week. It's service has great lay improved and decreased the amount of time it takes to receive food. Fresh quality ingredients that are locally procured is exactly what the valley needed. I have been back multiple times since my initial review. Having pizza and the bison burger. Both are good and fresh. It's rustic charm and its modern ambience makes the inferno stand out from the abundant Mexican food and restaurant chains the Sprinkle the valley. Only thing I would change is the price, but you can't have everything for free. But it's no surprise the the prices are the way they are, because freshness is not cheap and the menu is great so keep doing what your doing and I'll keep coming back for more. read more

It is as good as it gets in Brawley. I am an outta towner that spends a couple nights a month in Brawley and could never really find a place to lite after a day's work until I found the Inferno. Wide enough menu selection if pizza is not your thing. Better than average beer choice both draft and bottle. Not perfect but it has a staff that makes that effort so ignore those negatives and enjoy. Your not going to find anything better in Brawley. read more

Great looking place but Horrible service. Went in with a co-worker to have lunch and after sitting/waiting for over 40 minutes the bust-boy came to take our drink orders. Needless to say we didn't stick around to place our meal Order. I will not recommend dinning here unless you have the time and patience to wait near an hour for your drinks. We've already told my other co-workers about this experience and needless to say it is highly unlikely our company will be giving this local business anymore business. read more
