These review say it all, Indy Hound is a god send. I usually take my dog Scarlett for half days, which for being a broke student is very (very) reasonably priced. These angels helped me not get evicted from my apartment when my Ridgeback puppy was screaming in my absence and make it through law school with a tired and happy dog. I never worry about her there, everyone who works there is SO kind and sweet and know me and my dog. Morning drop offs are genuinely the happiest place on earth, these dogs cannot wait to get in the door. The daily Instagram updates brighten my day so much seeing my dog have an absolute blast. I can't ever even put my car in drive before Scarlett is passed out in the back seat. We are moving soon, and I am absolutely dreading having to find a new daycare. So far we've only done one day of daycare, but this place was wonderful! I definitely felt good about leaving my dog here not only because of how nice the staff was, but because of the fact that before you can leave your dog here, they have to do a preliminary doggie interview to make sure that everyone there is friendly and non-aggressive. Which is important when you have a dog like mine who doesn't understand that not everyone wants to play and run 24/7. They do offer other services other than just daycare and boarding. They have bathing options as well as nail trims for cheap! Being downtown with not a lot of options for dog parks and whatnot, this place is perfect to make sure your pup is running out all of their energy and also getting enough social interaction while you're at work! read more

Love taking our dog to Indy hound. We've used them for daycare and bath/nail trim services. They do a great job with our energetic pit and you can tell they really care about the dogs. I discovered Indy Hound through Yelp and began taking my lab mix puppy here in late May to help ensure my puppy gets some socialization with other dogs, and because she's so full of juvenile puppy energy, to help wear her out a bit. I've really loved how flexible Indy Hound has been. The owner has been very responsive, easy to work with over dates and times, and recently, has been offering some really great packages. My dog had a little separation anxiety for about the first week, but once that passed, she's been excited when she realizes she gets to have a morning car ride; she knows she's getting to see the other dogs and the owner of Indy Hound. She gets to lounge in a doggy pool on the hotter days; the staff has been great about wiping off the doggy slobber before she comes home, so that she is cleaner than when I dropped her off; and she is delightfully worn out in the evening from all the play she gets after I've taken her here. It's also been easy to arrange a doggy bath for her when I haven't had time to bathe her. I'm a huge fan of this place and plan on being a long-term customer! read more

I love Indy Hound. We lived in downtown and took our dog there for 18 months. He always came back exhausted! He loved his daycare days and would get excited at any mention of going. When we moved out of downtown, we were sad to leave the Indy Hound family and tried other day cares near our new house. None of them made me feel comfortable and welcome. My dog didn't seem to adjust to these new places and I was told that he didn't play with the other dogs (which is the complete opposite of his personality). We decided that it was worth the extra drive to bring him to Indy Hound where we knew Alex and all the staff there will treat him as one of their own! I have been a dog owner for most of my long life. It was always a sad time when I had to leave for school, then work, and then had kids who went to school but my resident pup would be left behind and anxiously await our return. The pup never complained, but it still weighed heavy on our hearts knowing he was alone all day. Fast-forward a couple of decades... Doggy daycares were born! I wish there was a business like Indy Hound around back then! What a fantastic option for us busy dog-lovers! A fun-loving, caring place for our 4-legged friends to gleefully pass time until we reunite at the end of the day. I started using Indy Hound for Hank, a boxer mix, about 6 years ago who absolutely loved his play dates here! Hank recently passed at age 15 but was always well taken care of here, especially in his geriatric state. When I think of him being able to happily see his buddies at Indy Hound this last tough year, I know we were blessed to luck into such a great place with caring staff and the best dog-pals ever! I love Indy.Hound! My rescue lab, Marley, sometimes gets anxious when home alone so daycare is a lifesaver. The staff is absolutely amazing; we walk in the door and they know Marley by name (as well as totally getting his personality). Indy Hound is great! We've been bringing our husky/lab mix, Bowser, here for daycare for the past 3 years. The prices are very reasonable, especially their half day prices, and they offer 10 day packages that come with extra perks. Bowser gets a little anxious around pick-up time but they're very familiar with him and good at dealing with it. We love Indy Hound - we have a VERY exuberant, energetic weim puppy and he has so much fun there. (Apparently not all Weimaraners like that kind of thing!) We have been taking our newfoundland Lola to indy.hound for the last 6 months. She's an energetic, water loving, play monster and this place is a lifesaver! When she comes home, she is soooo tired that she usually lays down and doesn't move. (Last time she was snoring all night :)) The people there are a joy at intake and pickup, always with a smile on their face. Last but not least, the facility is always spotless!! My girlfriend and I travel to different cities for our jobs and often stay in town for a few months at a time. With each arrival to a new location we seek out good daycares for our dog to stay when possible. In looking for a place to bring our dog here in Indianapolis the reviews for this place seemed the best and the location perfect for us since we stay in the downtown area. We dropped our dog off in the morning around 8 o'clock and picked him up later that afternoon and was told that he had a good day for a first day. When we got in the car to leave we noticed the strong smell of bleach on his fur and his eyes were weepy and stained. He also was 'reverse sneezing' and normal sneezing repeatedly. I called Indy Hound to ask them if they thought our dog had been exposed to bleach or something else and the person I talked to told me that this was a normal reaction to the bleach that they use to clean their facility. They indicated that it takes some getting used to for the dogs and that I shouldn't be concerned unless the reaction continues longer than 30 minutes or so and to call them back in that case. Well, we returned home and gave him a bath and the sneezing etc. continued a short time more but eventually stopped. No perceivable harm done though I have never had to encounter this situation at any other facility before. I understand that cleaning agents such as bleach etc. are going to be used to maintain a disinfected/clean environment for our dogs. But I expect them to be used with adequate ventilation and/or drying time for the chemicals to evaporate so they don't cause respiratory or other irritation to the animals when used. I think this business was honest and genuine in their care and in responding to our concerns but I am not going to take my dog there again because I do not want my dog to have to 'get used to' any irritants in order to play with other dogs. read more
