Full English Breakfast with back bacon
    Chandra D.

We are staying at the hotel where Indigo is located and came here for breakfast. My husband ordered the full English breakfast, and I got waffles, crispy streaky bacon, sausage, eggs, and hash browns to share with my two-year-old toddler. The staff was accommodating and kind. My son is going through his terribly twos and I tend to avoid eating out because I HATE when he acts out in public. Anyway, the staff engaged him and my son enjoyed this. I thought my bacon, hash brown, and eggs were great. My son LOVED the scrambled eggs and kept asking for more. I was fond of the sausage, creamy buttery eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The waffles were okay, but they were as good as the other items I ordered. I'll be ordering room service tomorrow morning from the restaurant because of today's great experience.

Had a pleasant experience. Nice ambiance and servers. Was a bit disappointed by the food choices (a few things I wanted were "sold out" and the other dish I wanted was not amendable). Finally settled on a fish which was fine. The other two members in my party enjoyed their food

Gluten free restaurant in a gorgeous hotel in the heart of London. I surprised my GF hubby with this spot during our stop in the UK. We had a funny and cool waiter that answered all our questions. Hubby enjoyed his sweet meat dish. It looked really good and he said it was delicious. He is also a picky old-fashioned bourbon drink fan and he LOVED their old-fashions. I loved my Fish and Chips...I mean I was in London after all. The final topper was a nice cup of Darjeeling tea. Great night. Dress cute, the crowd is hip and sexy.

This place was so cool! We made a reservation after hearing that they offered a fully gluten and dairy free menu. We enjoyed multiple courses for our anniversary, and even tried dairy-free ice cream, which was surprisingly delicious. The bread was baked fresh, with a seaweed spread. Great starter. My gnocchi was the only real underwhelming course. Just kinda blah. The pork belly was excellent. All food tasted fresh, and the atmosphere was cool -- the mezzanine level of the hotel with a slightly lounge-y vibe. Would definitely definitely recommend for gluten free/dairy free people. This was upscale presentation and high quality food. Nice night out in London!

    Celeriac soup

Great quality food and professional staff. The gluten-free and vegan bread was a winner, especially with the vegan nori butter spread. Our starters and mains all tasted great. I had the celeriac soup and potato gnocchi. The only improvements would be the sides. The potatoes and broccoli were boring and bland. Our dessert took almost 40 mins after our meal to come but it was worth wait.

Excellent gluten and dairy free fish and chips. Beautiful, romantic, and cozy restaurant with great service. The food is so good and the menu clearly labels allergens. So glad we found this place. There is only one thing that was disappointing. This restaurant serves breakfast for the hotel in the morning and only offers one GF toast option which has nuts, a common allergen. Also notable for celiacs is that this kitchen serves wheat for breakfast.

I went here today for a friend's birthday brunch and we had a fantastic time. Indigo's brunch menu is packed full of hangover-friendly treats, with a great selection of soups, salads, things on toasts, brunchy main courses such as bubble and squeak and fish pie and a great selection of stodgy puds. I selected a delicious creamed sweetcorn and crab soup followed by a beautifully-presented kedgeree. You can choose any comibination of two courses which comes to £24. However, the best thing about this offer is that it includes UNLIMITED PROSECCO. And I mean unlimited - they are continuously topping up your glass. Until the brunch ends at 3pm, that is. Highly recommended for a lazy yet classy catch-up with good friends.

We had "Charlie and the Chocolate factory" afternoon tea. It was a very fun and unique experience that the whole family will never forget. Outstanding service from the staff when dealing with a family that doesn't have afternoon-tea experience! There was a variety of finger foods and biscuits which were delicious. The dessert - A lot! Delicious and also a great variety. Oh ya - the Tea. I had the Mango tea, my wife had the chocolate (yes chocolate tea) and my son enjoyed the black tea. Perfect blends, very tasty! Also, my daughters had the best cup of hot chocolate I've ever tasted.

We were meeting up as a group of 5 old uni friend and were looking for suitable places somewhere fairly central. We hit upon this little gem that does 50% off food Monday - Friday 7pm - 9:45pm. WIN And they said they could cater for all diets so we went along. This little underground bar & restaurant seats maximum 50 people and was nicely full (we made a reservation just to be sure) on a Tuesday night, so that's a good sign to start with! Really friendly staff who were so helpful about the allergies and generally recommending dishes to us, you can't fault the service here. Based down the road from the Monument, we rocked surrounded by city workers in full suits heading for the nearest pub (I suppose their jobs must be pretty stressful!). We sat down to bread and oil/ balsamic vinegar, always a nice touch whe you don't have to ask for that. They unfortauntely had just run out of gluten-free bread, shame. We had a couple of bottle of wines, sampling the red and white varieties. I'm normally a white drinker, but I actually preferred the red this time, very mellow and soft (the white was a touch more tart). You have to have at least 2 courses to get the deal of 50% off so we opted for starter & main, thinking that the pudding stomach would kick in anyway so we could have it too (got to love that pudding stomach!) I went for tuna carpaccio with dill creme fraiche and a caper dressing, followed by Lamb shank off the bone with corainder and carrot puy lentils. They were both delicious! The tuna could have been seared a touch more but was beautifully thin and tasty. The lamb, well that was incredible! Melt in your mouth soft and packed with juices and flavour that were just soaked up by the lentil mix. Friends had wood pigeon, veal, guinea fowl aplenty and all were uttering those same delicious yummy sounds that I was. So much so that the pudding stomach was not needed this time, super full! Then the bill came and it was a measly £25 including service charge (which we were more than happy to pay!). I will be back here very soon. Excellent

I've been looking forward to visiting Duck & Waffle for quite some time. The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.

The food is decent - I always seem to get something disappointing, but it's moderately good. It feels like it's getting more expensive though, as my husband and I spent £12 and 15 (respectively) the other night, and it wasn't exactly piled high (I was still slightly hungry afterwards), and that was without drinks, bread, or dessert. They also have changed dinner drinks ordering to where they give you a plastic card as your tab. You weigh your plates at the till as normal, but instead of ordering drinks there, you have to do so at your table. (They won't even let you order at the till - they instruct you to go back and order from the table.) It's needlessly complicated for something that should be a simple concept.

I have an egg allergy and haven't touched egg in about 10 years. Egg salad is one of those things that I really miss and Tibits nailed the flavor and texture.
